If Trump's comment is true that Detroit can't compete in electric vehicles, then the auto industry in Detroit is done. Thankfully, he is wrong but even if he were right, it does no good to stick our head in the sand and pretend no changes are coming. As we know, the failure to address the need for cars with better fuel economy in the 1970s is one of the reasons Detroit lost its dominance over the car industry in the first place. Oil is a finite resource and is subject to the whims of countries who don't share American interests. It is a national security imperative that we create an electric car infrastructure and move away from our dependence on oil. The sooner we make the change, the easier the transition and why the electric vehicle legislation passed by Biden was important. Any politician who says different is pandering to American oil interests who are looking for short term corporate results and not long term American interests. The bottom line is if Trump gets elected and guts the electric car industry, the American car industry will never recover.
Yep, we sure did hear what asshole trump said about Detroit and we will return the message and SMASH the Harris-Walz & BLUE down ballot boxes!! Rogers started building a house in White Lake in July and that’s his registered address for his status, however, the house isn’t finished, so, there hasn’t been a Occupancy Permit granted, therefore he can’t live there!!!
The weirdest thing in all of this is how intractable the idea that Donald Trump is great for business has been. He's a relatively unsuccessful businessman, anti-union, and most famous for costing people their jobs on a fake game show. And his policy proposals and actual record in office demonstrate something other than real competence in guiding the United States economically. The only thing that makes sense is that people forgot how good things were going as a lead-in for him from the Obama years and forgot everything after those first three years he was in office. Oh, and also forgot the turmoil in markets and trade during those three years that probably cost us a lot of the potential benefits of a good economy. The only thing you can definitively give him is that he's great at marketing.
Much of the US electorate responds to performative behavior, and not outcome or results. Trump's 'strong man' act sways peoples decision making - 'I like his style' being what people mean when they I say 'I like his policies'.
Many people do not really know how much of the government works. It is what it is. People seem to think FEMA pays to fix your house after a hurricane. Not so.
Elissa Slotkin comes from "big money"? Like family money? She has a net worth that's a fraction of the congress average. What is this about? She's been in public service for most of her life.
Its infuriating listening to these "undecided" voters, completely ignoring or frankly just not knowing what policy stances the candidates have and whining about how Tammy Baldwin "has been in there too long", like how do you think the F'ing Senate works, let alone coequal branches of government?! It's embarrassing how illiterate the average American is to how our government functions.
It is absolutely gobsmaking to me how little people know about their senators. No wonder we are in such bad shape. The Senate and Congress is just as important as the President, if not more. How can you not know. It is so easy to find their voting record online.
When Trump said, while speaking in Detroit, that if Harris wins, the whole country will turn into Detroit, it was a very thinly-veiled racial appeal to his white supremacist base. “Detroit is full of scary Black people, and Harris is Black!”
Democracy as a concept doesn't seem to register. I would suggest however that pointing out how Trump literally tried to disenfranchise actual voters through criminal means should matter. I live in Georgia. He tried to coerce the Secretary of State to "find 11,780 votes" and change the outcome. He suborned the submission of fake electors. He tried to get the Vice President to kick the results back to state legislatures or to say the count was illegitimate so the House delegations should decide. All of that is direct criminal infringement on voting citizens including myself and millions of others. It should deeply matter to all of us.
I see nothing but Eric Hovde ads here in Wisconsin….same with Trump. Tammy Baldwin and Kamala ads are few and far between. It's the Blue Wall. We have strength there, we need to make sure we do everything we can to get those voters out.
We can't control what the Harris/Walz team do. But we can help the campaign with their GOTV effort.
If you are panicking about this election, I urge you to do what I'm doing: help them out. They need phone bankers, canvassers, postcard-writers, and more. Be a part of the movement and dispel your anxiety with action!
I am disabled - but I have been writing the postcards. 💙
Yes!!! “Less stewing..,,MORE doing” to help ease one’s angst.
I already voted BLUE in Michigan!! Come on people, you heard how Trump trashed Detroit, VOTE BLUE 💙
About 4 million people have already voted.
Mailed my ballot last week. Straight Democrat ticket.
No Detroit and Ch!raq trashed themselves, mainly through Left-wing Mayors.

I can’t believe people are still undecided, we are in crazy town .
I don’t really think there are any. They’re just bullshitting…
Undecided = appropriately scared of Trump but can't stomach a woman (of color) in the White House.
"do I vote morals or healthcare?" Lady, they're on the same side. 🙄 Why don't these independents understand what's on the line?
@@Redcrane05 50% of Americans have always been fascist adjacent.
Great at marketing himself, that is.
Most of these people are hopeless. It's like they have no idea how the Senate works.
That phrasing was so odd to me. Is that what it means to "come from big money"? Also, these people all voted for Trump ...
In GA and I hope I live long enough to vote for Whitmire in presidential election. She is awesome.
Anybody claiming to be "undecided" at this point is either a liar or stupid.
That criminal disrespected Michigan!! He has no ethics, no morals! He is just pathetic!!
When Trump said, while speaking in Detroit, that if Harris wins, the whole country will turn into Detroit, it was a very thinly-veiled racial appeal to his white supremacist base. “Detroit is full of scary Black people, and Harris is Black!”
Do me a favor. Next time JVL is saying "the democracy stuff doesn't matter " play that lady saying dictator from day 1 to him on repeat.
I won't listen to any JVL. His ego and opinions are not worth it.
Living in NW Wisconsin, I feel that we are not being heard, asked, etc. Way too many Dumpster supporters here.
I see nothing but Eric Hovde ads here in Wisconsin….same with Trump. Tammy Baldwin and Kamala ads are few and far between. Hillary lost WI because she literally did not come here the last two months of the campaign I can’t help but notice the Bulwark tour is PA & MI and again Wisconsin is ignored!!!! WI needs help!!!!it is not a slam dunk!!!! I’m as scared as I was in 2016!!! Worried in Wisconsin 😭
I live in Wisconsin too but I see tons of Baldwin and Harris commercials.
Harris was just in WI and has been there several times.
Tariffs will hurt people country everywhere and will costs people families more than ever
Biting my nails in Wisconsin. BUT, I'm doing more canvassing next week.
I couldn’t do focus groups. Some of these people really infuriate me. The person who wasn’t sure whether to vote on character or the economy. FFS, Trump is both a disgusting person and would also tank your economy for the benefit of himself and his mega rich cronies.
Undecideds don’t exist most of them are decided they just aren’t telling anyone who they will vote for.
Here in WI Baldwin had a comfortable lead until Hovde started running culture war lies ads. I wish I could say our electorate knows better, but…
How long was Russ Feingold a Senator? Longer or shorter than Tammy?
When I see a Whitmer ad asking me to donate to Slotkin, I do it immediately, and I live in CA. She definitely has something about her that is very compelling.
A word of caution from Alaska...the double haters is how we ended up with sarah palin. Vote blue!
Oh no! She's the reason I didn't vote for McCain. So, these people that hate Vance should keep that in mind.
How could the polls be so close and MAGA Rally goers are shrinking? Additionally, half of the country to include active military, officers, athletes and celebrities have endorsed VP Harriis and voters are voting - over 4 million to date?

These undecided voters who "need to hear more" are quickly running out of time, and where have they been that they haven't seen or heard Kamala on all the interviews and rallies she's done. It's extremely frustrating.
No one could be on the fence unless they're really just going to vote for trump. It's pretty simple . If they haven't seen enough then maybe voter suppression is reasonable

It has to be the weighting. Pollsters weight Republicans like they were the same % of the population that they were a long time ago. There's a lot of Republicans who are no longer happy to identity as Republican, so they say Independent or nothing. Therefore the people who are STILL happy to identify as Republican to a stranger asking questions, are extremely likely to be a Trumper, which must skew the results.
Wishful thinking
