Paul Watson, head of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, the most powerful organization in the world in defense of whales, seals and sea life, and the hero of the recent hit TV series, Whale Wars.
Paul Watson is an animal rights and environmental activist committed to direct action and marine life conservation. He is founder and president of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, which intervenes with illegal fishing and whaling activity.
Paul has never been a stranger to controversy, and has used it in the mass media to draw attention to the plight of whales, sharks, and other marine fauna. He has been arrested numerous times, on charges stemming from collisions with poaching whaling and sealing boats, but he has never been convicted of a crime.
