Well, I think the picture of Yuyuko floating on the video and the cherry blossom trees on the background helps. Also, Perfect Cherry Blossom in my opinion is the most perfect Touhou game. The fight against Yuyuko is the best one, we get to fight her on an area filled with cherry blossom with petals falling off and she has that surprise final spell.

Well, when I think of insects in love, it sounds like a joke instead of something serious. 2 months later, I actually still love this song a lot and listen to it everyday. It's my top Touhou vocals now and I've been listening to Hanatan's other songs.

In ancient Japanese poetry, the both letter are often used to subscribe something beautiful or sad-ish feeling. For example, 虫の知らせ(a foreboding), 虫の音(the beautiful sounds of insects that could be heard in season of fall). And fan-fact, in the lyrics you can find the word 「蝶」butterfly, and in ancient thought butterfly described as souls of living things.
