Ford 5000 Diesel Tractor: New steering wheel.

I finally returned to work on the Ford 5200 tractor. I ended up buying a cheap aftermarket steering wheel. Not what I really wanted, but had to settle when
I was unable to find the correct row crop deep dish wheel anywhere.

That’s a great tractor. Spent many hours on one cultivating. I like the flat deck to move your feet around and the box fenders to lean on. If you tilt the wheel all the way up you can do a round standing.

Haven’t we all been in this exact same position! Lol. One thing to try to fix those threads is a thread file/repair tool. I ordered new fuel injectors earlier this year for my Ford and the threads on one of the injectors got banged up during shipping I’m guessing. I used a thread file to redo/straighten those back out and it worked fine. You may have already solved this problem but if not definitely try that before removing all of that again. I believe I paid roughly $20 for mine. I’m glad to see another Ford 5000 video!
