There are like 6 attunement or magics, thunder, flame, ice, gale, shadow, ironsing, you guys shoulda started with different ones but it's alright, you can still get different ones. By giving certain items to different npcs and if you get a new magic then when you wipe and restart your character you can choose a different one
Everytime I watch new player and see voidwalkers kill them I'm reminded how terrible the voidwalker system is. It's designed to screw over new players.

@@shelly._they forgot to add the important detail of if you hear their roar, it means they see you through walls for 5 seconds If you get far enough away, they are forcefully sent back to the Voidheart (their homebase) If you kill or are killed by them, NO VOIDWALKER can hunt you for 10ish minutes. Explaining this solely because it can be very vague about this specific mechanic.
6:43 There is an origin called Deepbound where you spawn in the Depths and must level up there. Doing this origin gives you an item called Call of the Deep, which is what that guy used. It just sends you to the Depths
@@shelly._ deepbound is possibly the best way to progress, high risk and high reward. your exp is multiplied and the longterm benefit of deepbound is call of the deep and immune to depths insanity.
Go to ferryman place and try to be kind even with mid rings ( or good ) or some notes and you’ll get some legendary weps ( it happened to me a lot even tho I was just trying to be kind 😔 )

Deepwoken is definitely more beginner friendly than it was on release, be thankful for the markers, map, and objectives. We didn't have those back then and it was every man for himself

You could definitely make this a series, watching new players play this game is some of the most funny things ever, im currently on day 2 of the video and some tips i have would be to try to react instead of predicting, it makes combat much easier, also if there are weirdos in your server who are randomly attacking you for no reason, just log with the door button, at least until you can defend yourself, and finally if you know anyone or can meet someone to teach you the basics you should look for how to make builds, basic macanics and some things the game just doesnt tell you
Some good common knowledge not in my og comment would be this, typing mb all in chat removes your combat tags, you get those when hitting or being hit by players and when having them you can't get mob healthpacks, another thing is there is a parry cd so if you're getting hit alot don't spam f, it's more worth to wait a second and take one hit so you can be ready to time your parry for the next one

you switching to medium weapons while you already had heavy weapon stats hurt me 😭 (Btw a tip is to count to 1 missisipi in your head when the swing animation starts and after that you tap f)
If you ever want to try one of the attunements (your magic) you can choose random attunement when making a new character and itll auto select one of the 4 main attunements unlock it perma. There are also two attunements you have to unlock by doing a quest, at 11:25 Is ironsing one of the quest attunements.
Also at 6:27 the weapon the guy gave you is a legendary attunement weapon that uses Shadowcast, the second quest attunement one you meet the requirements to equip it it will become soul bound and wont drop on death.
here's a tip: there will be a particle or like a trail on their sword when you see it click F so you can successfully parry, Light Weapons are hard to parry at the start but you'll get the hang of it. The Black Blade that you have was called "Crypt Blade" store it in the bank if you don't want to lose it. It's a good weapon but for some specific builds only.
Just a little tip, always have shift lock on in this game as right click lets you feint swings and mantras to bait out player attacks. It is also just easier. It's kinda like playing dark souls with M&K

small tip for combat that i noticed you really disliked: when you get hit, you are staggered, which prevents you from jumping, dodging, and attacking. in that case, use a parry, which can be used during a stagger, but if you miss the timing, you get punished even more. alternatively, you can vent by clicking G. this will release you out of any stun at cost of 40% tempo.
for sharkos, hold F to block when they crouch, block when they do the swipes, and roll to the right when they kick. you can press G to vent which stops combos
If you want to practise your skills in Pve so solo a sharko, try and complete a bit of trial of one. To enter the trial of one, when you make a new character pick minityrsa as your origin. That’s the fastest way to get good but it’ll still take time.
Can’t wait to see how you would react to bosses and getting bell. Bell is basically a extra ability once you have it you will know. There is also different type of bell. The gay in the beginning who used the red and black thing on the ground that is a reaper bell it grip down player and heal the user. Bell can come in 4 different class the one in blue is normal, red is corrupted, and white is legendary, wield blueish white I'd drawn. I put them in order from least rare to the rarest hope this helps when the time come.
Tip: I recommend doing build no shrine also you have echoes waste them on knowledge since that’s how you get pre-shrine builds and look up build become strong. One of first bosses you should fight is ferryman he is not that hard watch tutorial and also too heal just go in the beach where you leave you’re boat place camp and heal while fighting g ferryman he can’t reach you there Do not switch weapons type when you already invested mastery unless you’re looking for hybrid weapon
a quick tip you should do is parry train if you see the animation start instantly press f its basically perfect blocking theme and you cna hit theme multiple times so you can kill theme easier
I've been playing since 2022 and to this very day, every single time I see a voidwalker kill new players it reminds me how much I dislike the pvp. Here's a fun fact, before verse 2 released, verse 1 had a system called luck. Luck was directly tied to how good your build was (Governed if you got "rare" cards or not), the way to obtain luck was by killing other players. The fact that luck existed until 2023 astounds me more and more every time I think about it. Another interesting thing is that you use to be able to roll Oathless as a standard card. Edit* also very entertaining and hopefully you stick with it (as long as its fun to you) long enough to teach others how to actually begin playing.

Btw u have 2 lives befor eu go to the depths. When ur hp bar looks "dirty" it means you have 1 left and if you die will go to the depths. power increase up restores ur life.

Crypt blade the black weapon you got at the start is a shadowcast legendary weapon you need heavy to equip it its very good and also you can have multiple elements at the same time
I can give nice tip for if you find some cloud or stratus stone use this on warden blades come to table with thing look like a paw here you need in campfire click on mantras soon recall warden blades and plce this table with stratus or cloud stones
like a person that plays deepwoken everyday for like 5 months i can say that this stressed me a little i wish i could come to you and show you how to play this awesome game
whenever you knock a player or npc you gain health back but if you are in player combat you can only get health if you knock a player but if the skull at the top of your screen is purple and not red you are in npc combat and you can get health from knocking npcs like normal so make sure not to hit eachother for better survivability
A good tip is press t when low cuz it makes it so u spit and a good peace of advice is when u start dont join high rank guilds cuz if u do your probably gonna get jumped by others

Crypt blade the black weapon you got at the start is a shadowcast legendary weapon you need heavy to equip it its very good and also you can have multiple elements at the same time

Tip be patient and find out there guys moves and to parry if u miss u have a solid 2 sec of cool down ouly spam parrry when the attack is really fast

I can give nice tip for if you find some cloud or stratus stone use this on warden blades come to table with thing look like a paw here you need in campfire click on mantras soon recall warden blades and plce this table with stratus or cloud stones

like a person that plays deepwoken everyday for like 5 months i can say that this stressed me a little i wish i could come to you and show you how to play this awesome game
whenever you knock a player or npc you gain health back but if you are in player combat you can only get health if you knock a player but if the skull at the top of your screen is purple and not red you are in npc combat and you can get health from knocking npcs like normal so make sure not to hit eachother for better survivability

A good tip is press t when low cuz it makes it so u spit and a good peace of advice is when u start dont join high rank guilds cuz if u do your probably gonna get jumped by others
