When it’s time to mind our own business and let the world around us sort out their own issues without our constant interference we should stay out of it and make sure things are ok at home. Things are not ok here. Pearl Harbor happened because of American interference with a foreign conflict. We refused to sell the Japanese oil and scrap steel because of the war in China and they were forced to make a play for the Shell Oil holdings in the Dutch East Indies and had to neutralize our Pacific fleet and our assets in the Philippines to be able to pull it off. Yamamoto would have never been able to sell a high risk op like Pearl Harbor to the Japanese High Command if we had left that situation alone, one can only conclude that our politicians wanted a war for the sake of being able to have a hand in the shaping of world policy once the shooting was over both in Europe and in the Pacific. You don’t have to dig very far and look very hard at the policies that came in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 to realize that not only was that attack preventable, but it or an event like it was desired by the powers that be to create a more authoritarian federal government and start long term wars for the Military Industrial complex to profit off of. Must have been tough on them to go through the 90’s without the Soviet Union or a foreign war to guarantee profit margins.
