LOL, good morning, Joie!! These flowers aren't THAT hard, yet every time I make them I have to re-watch you do it. I love these so much! Sweetie, I hope you are doing well. You are in my prayers daily. Love and hugs, Ems ♥
As this is a year old I dont know if you will read this but I must say I learn so so much every time I watch your videos. And this is no exception. How easy are these. I'm so grateful to people who take the time to teach us especially how to use what we have and not buy more STUFF. I will be cutting out flowers today to add to my JJs after I watch your videos on how to make them. Because you teach so easily I want to watch every single one.
I definitely read your comments..it doesn't match how old the video is, as RUclips notifies me whichever video it is. So what can I say Marlene? You spur me on to keep crafting and filming. Being very honest I do put some prep time into each video, so it's hugely appreciated when I get feedback such as this. It's why my videos are a bit less frequent...if somehow you can update me on your crafting progress then please do!! Hugs, joie 💜🌿
What a nice idea. No cost because I'm using scraps. So pretty. I'm going to have my grandchildren scribble on all kinds of scraps and blank papers so they'll also be in my books. Wonderful activity. TFS.
Oh that's a fantastic idea, I love it! 😁 Imagine how prescious your books will be with such personal memories and contributions from your family. 👍🏻 Joie 🌿💜

Me and my sassy pants, I thought I'd remember how, but alas, NOT! An absolute mess was what I made, but just watching this I made five flowers with you. I think (maybe) now I've got it. Hi Joie 🙋♀️ I made these flowers with you again here cuz I love them so. It happened I had a sheet of baking paper next to me that had gotten coffee stained yesterday, so I made a couple flowers with that, then I went around the edge with a gold paint maker... ooohhh pretty! XOX m'dear, MK 💗🌞🌵
Hi Joie! I am sorry I missed your premiere. It was great seeing you today at Rick’s . I adore your beautiful layered paper flowers. Yes, those odd number of petals is very pleasing and I like your tips about how to select paper for and creating focal points for your flower. I love hearing you talk!!
No worries....we all have lots of things to do and other streams to watch. 😄❣️ But it is appreciated when you pop up after...I am looking out for your IG posts and chatty RUclips streams. Very warm and inviting place to be. Take care, Joie ❣️🌿
Thank you for sending me this 5-petal flower video. I'm making them today,...like you said, while watching TV (RUclips videos actually!) OK, these are FANTASTIC!!! Thank you SO VERY MUCH! I've made about 6 so far. Cut paper smaller for 3, so they could go on top & get smaller. Using Origami paper! Its already square, and its very thin. Works great! Oh, I just love them. I tried to make these myself,... but I'd have NEVER figured this out by myself. So I appreciate this video. I did change my cuts just a bit on several, to make them a little different. I'm so excited. Thanks again. You're a doll. PS - You are a great teacher,...btw! Austin, TX USA
Was given a pad of colours that I can't use for notes but great for flowers! Thank you so much. I really wanted to use this in some way. They are plain pages but can be mixed with some patterns!
Meant to be! I have a little box of 3” and 2” origami paper sitting on my counter. Trying to figure out what to do with because it’s all solid color, picked over papers that aren’t inspiring. Flowers today! Thanks for the inspiration! 💙
@@joiedefi I am taking part in a swap and I am going to decorate one or two of the pockets I made with the flowers. Of course, I am pretty sure I'm going to have a lot left over I'll need to find a use for :)
Really enjoyed this older tutorial as well as your three new ones for 2020 on this lazy Sunday morning in Texas. Loved them all and feel inspired to make!! Plan to start with the simple journal as I too want to feel like I've accomplished and completed something. Will get out some paints, my little sewing machine for paper (snippets, here I come), and make some tags with "Handmade" on them (sequin for punched hole--brilliant!). How did you cut the small pointed edge on the last paper flower in this video -where you talk about stamping on the flower for interest? Thank you so much!

Hey Maria, lovely to see you here:) I'll look out for that flower project...I'm going to do something interesting in a journal with them:) Maybe something very Spring like.....take care, joie xx
I just made goobly-gobs of these. I discovered if you snip the petal toward the center, it’s possible to make great fringe for the anthers in the center of the flower, or chrysanthemum. I look forward to adding paints or glitter glue to the tips of the fringe. Also, thin pieces of paper about an inch square (2 cm) be folded down and made into a wee flower about the size of a dime. Hi Maria, lovely to meet you. It's Joie...as in "Joey"......are you an art and crafty fan/paper addict? So much fun from cutting out these flowers from little bits of paper:) take care, joie xx
Hi Joie my name is Kerri-Ann amd I am new to JJ. And my question for you is I want to buy watercolor paint and pencils. That arnt to expensive that i would learn how to create images on my JJ pages :)
Hi there Kerri-Ann, lovely to meet you. I am in no way an expert, but I can share what I use, which is Arteza watercolour paints. Their palettes are probably the easiest to use, tubes of paint are a bit more fiddly and probably more wasteful....I think. Arteza is cheaper/better value than the brand White Nights, which is an alternative. There is a link to the Arteza products that I use in the description box of my journal with me videos, if that helps. Also watch out for a discount code that I am sometimes able to offer. The Arteza watercolour pencils are lovely. I didn't know how much I would love them until I got them. Very versatile and creamy when you add water. I think I use them in this ruclips.net/video/nGR4oGdPqzk/видео.html. Hope this is helpful. Let me know how you get on. 👍🏻🥰
Hi Joie its Kerri-Ann so i bought some water color paint and watercolor pencils...not arteza brand but I just want to say that i love your style of journling..i feel that your style really helps me learn how to create and make something magical. I love paper and i am new at the junk journal process...i will let you know what paints i got but just wamted to msg u back and say that i am a huge fan of yours...do you sell any of your journals you make or you use them all for yourself? I 😊❤

I remember how you fold the flower but after I cut it the petals look like a heart so I don't know what I am doing wrong in the cutting process Please help.I have watched you 2 times. Thankyou
I'm not sure what you're doing Sue, it might be that you are cutting too big a curve on the outside edge of the petal. Try cutting more straight across on the outer edge .. does that help?? ❤️❤️

@@Kerri-AnnLoves2Craft what a fantastic note...I am delighted that you updated me. I do sometimes sell journals in my Etsy shop.... now and again 🥰 you absolutely must keep me posted on your progress. And thank you so much, I needed that today ❣️🌟👍🏻

Hooray!!! Well done 👍🏻😄❣️
👍👍👍🙂🙂🙂🌸🌸🤝
Thank you!!
I remember how you fold the flower but after I cut it the petals look like a heart so I don't know what I am doing wrong in the cutting process
Please help.I have watched you 2 times.
Thankyou
I'm not sure what you're doing Sue, it might be that you are cutting too big a curve on the outside edge of the petal. Try cutting more straight across on the outer edge .. does that help?? ❤️❤️
