Let me know if you have any other methods you can share - I know a lot of people use the interlock technique, but that's not technically a straight line ;)
The interlocking is off putting for me too in this type of situation. And it’s great to see that you sew on the go. French weavers usually wait until the very end and I find it daunting, difficult, and structurally it can move lots of things around. Have a lovely Sunday
Would it work better to alternate the half hitches so the ridge is more willing to lie straight? Never made a tapestry, I'm just thinking of friendship bracelets. 😅
