Thank you so much for these Weave with Me videos. I learn so much from them. I love the idea of using eccentric weave to smooth the edge of a circle-genius!

Haha, it's actually Killstar 😅 I should have checked the dimensions before buying, so now it's kind of a joke 😅

Haha, you can tell when I'm weaving at my studio at Collective Haunt (traffic noise, 'people' noises) and when I'm in my home studio (bird noises)! :)

Love your videos! I am on a mission to buy yarn (live in NZ). A lot of online weaving shops seem to carry a lot of cotton for weft yarn. I know knitting yarn is no good, so is cotton ok?

Thank you!! I personally prefer 'rough' wool for tapestry weaving (I have done a video about what I use) - at the moment I am using Isager Spinni from Sunspun, but I'm sure you can find something similar in NZ! I also add one strand of linen, as I like my tapestries to be quite stiff 😉

@@ThreefoldDesigns thank you! I watched your video about what you put in your strands. I was getting a bit confused about all the cotton yarn that is mentioned everywhere 🤣I actually live quite close to the Ashford store, so need to go on a road trip…

@@rachelratten6832 Yeah, I don't know if Ashford sell any wool suitable for tapestry, but you could give them a go! I use cotton for everything *but* tapestry, haha!

Love watching your process. Why don’t you wind the weft on to the bobbin?

Because I don't want to ... nothing deeper than that 🤣
