It's pretty amazing how accurate James Cameron's final plunge portrayal was in 1997. Sure the angle is a bit high as well as the breaking point a bit different. But after reading "On A Sea Of Glass" and the newest sinking simulations, many of these details from the film are closer to what really must've happened. Like the list returning to an even keel for example. Evidently after Titanic breaks in half, it either fell back with massive splash, or the stern sunk vertically, but it couldn't do both. Either way it's masterpiece of a film and this is a very well done animation. Good job!
It's certainly the latter, as most survivors state Titanic went "vertical" in the final moments. Except for Charles Joughin, but then again, he was drunk. Survivors also reported the stern settling back, some even said gently/slowly. It most likely didn't crash down, as that would also cause that huge wave, which would probably affect the nearby lifeboats (but none of the passengers in them mentioned such a thing).
@@danzalisnock9128 Because of the angle that the bow went down at; due to the forces that snapped the foremast back, and crushed the front side of the B-Deck windows, the only way for that to occur, apparently, is if the bow goes down vertically. Well, Cameron's team did a model test not too long ago, to show that, for the stern to break, it either does one of two things: it either falls back hard, making a big wave, and doesn't go vertical, or it goes vertical after settling back, but not too hard. And every time their model broke, for every time that the stern went vertical, it rotated counterclockwise, after going vertical, which is exactly what survivors said happened. At least one of them recalled, it was as if the stern was trying to hide those who were still hanging onto it, from the view of the survivors in the lifeboats. Eerie. EDIT: Another thought just occurred to me, as to why the stern couldn't have both gone vertical, and settled back hard; the answer is the amount of time that it took the stern to go vertical, versus how quickly it was filling with water. It would simply not have had time to go nearly completely vertical, if it had settled back hard, because the rate of the stern sinking would have been too quick - and the ingress of water too great - for a vertical angle to be properly achieved.
This is beyond amazing. Looking at your real time animation of the sinking makes everything more sense. due to show every scenes in the 1997 sinking were feels like it takes so much to sink, instead the way to overlapped the scenes makes sense. Well done
I have no words to describe this. The funnels falling were animated smoothly, the breakup was animated smoothly, the sinking of the stern was animated smoothly, I loved how you put the deck and hull plate damage on the stern during the breakup! This is a MASTERPIECE! WELL DONE!
Shingoji, please give me your time travel machine. In all seriousness, this animation is absolutely stunning. I’m hoping it can gain lots of views for more to see this awesome recreation.
Nice that you did this one the 25th anniversary can't wait to see it in theatres once more. This was really well done also great job. Also a nice little tribute at the end for James Horner how did a phenomenal job with the soundtrack for this movie may he rest in peace 😞 I noticed that some of the screams have like a faint echo to them which just makes this even more haunting to watch
This movie is how I imagine how Titanic went down, the split between the 3rd and 4th funnels, ( which if look at pictures of the wreck, it clearly show a break area between the 3rd and 4th funnel.) the ship reaching a high angle, (which in my own theory was somewhere between 29 to 31 degrees) the stern going down vertically which is what survivors saw.
You still have to remember that some people still believe this sinking theory. Sure, it's their oppinion, but we do have much evidence disproving James Camerons sinking. However, he did portray it very well and close in the movie. Well done JC
This is amazing work! Last night I saw Titanic in theaters with my soulmate. It was our first time seeing it on the big screen, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Especially the sinking scenes. Seeing the ship sinking, getting destroyed, in 4K 3D added to the emotions and terror so much. We felt like we were there, trapped on the doom liner herself. Plus, watching it with an audience only amplified the emotions. Titanic is a film best watched with other people; all of us were complete strangers to one another, yet we felt and shared each other’s feelings so deeply. A truly unforgettable experience! ❤️🌟🚢🥲
4:40 I never understood why Titanic just sat there in midair for several moments. Was it because the stern was full of trapped air? Would love to know the reasoning behind it!
There were still several air pockets in the stern as it rose. When it attained an almost vertical position, it got stuck there and was slowly sinking, as the air was escaping. Eventually it began to sink again, and disappeared from the surface. Even then, not all of the air had left the stern yet, thus it imploded.
Fun fact: Titanic was the 1st movie not directed by Steven Spielberg since the original Star Wars in 1977 to be the highest-grossing movie in the world and the 1st movie not composed by John Williams to be the highest-grossing movie in the world since Gone with the Wind in 1939
the cinematography is a mess but it is very satisfing to see the ship actually consistently sinking while in the original movie it just stayed still for certain scenes
What I hate about the movie's breakup is that, it made it look like the third funnel falling flooded the ship again, and makes it look like if the funnel didn't fall, the ship would've stayed floating.
I am planning to write my own Titanic Story about these two ten year old cousins who sailed on the Titanic and Survived the nightmare of the shipwreck with their own courage and witts and their broken friendship but with great cost obviously meaning their families from their parents and older siblings did not survive and the sinking of the Titanic brings the two cousins relationship more closer and helps them reconcile and everyone who had actually sailed on The Titanic and Survived and died plays a part in the cousins story from Captain Smith Bruce Ismay Thomas Andrews Benjamin Gutinhiem and his Italian butler and his mistress and John Jacob Aster and Maddlin Aster and Molly Brown and Mr and Miss Strous and Wallace Hartley and the rest of the band even the Alison's family and Daniel Marvin and his Wife Mary Marvin and Henry Harris and his wife Irene Harris even Jack Thayer and his parents and along with Milton Clyde Long and Lawrence Bessley and The Titanic Officers from William Murdoch James Moody and Henry Wild and even Charles Lightoller and Boxtoll.
Each growing day I grow more attachment to this film. Jim really tried to capture the sinking like never before
The reverb with the screams is just haunting
Although inaccurate, this sinking theory wil always have a place in my heart.
Shin creating another masterpiece as always.
And I still believe the 1997 film Titanic is still the best Titanic film.
It's very Hollywoodised

@@HugoGHA totally agreed. The evidence points to a vertical sinking.

Holy I love this video It’s so high quality to the sounds the visuals the camera movements this is officially a 10/10 and more
James Cameron is my 3rd favorite movie director ever (behind Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan)
This video reminds me of the Titanic movie from 1997 I really liked it ❤

It actually did not sit still for a moment. If you notice in the movie it was slowly sinking down, it only then started rapidly going down.
