This game and mission will always hold a place in my heart, so iconic. This is what call of duty needs to get back to- missions and settings that stick out in your mind

Arguably the most nostalgic, iconic, and unforgettable mission in the franchise. I love the environment of this mission, it’s one peaceful ass mission, love every feel. Also I gotta point out that 5:10 is legendary to me.

It doesn't make sense in the context of this mission but it's still an example of a choice to do things your own way. The wild dog at the end even as well. If you want a less linear mission you only have to play the two levels before and after this flashback.
Same. I always wished they would make a CoD only in Chernobyl. I repeated it so many times. And then i found out about the Metro Series, which felt like this mission packed in a whole game.

Interesting to note that the term "ghillie" is of Scots Gaelic origin, and the Scottish were the first to use ghillie suits in warfare. And here in this mission you are being led by Captain MacMillan who is of Scottish descent.
@@darnit1944 yeah but how does the pilot taking a round trigger an explosion. His body will have absorbed much of the energy from the bullet. Furthermore, as the round is not incendiary it's unlikely to blow the entire helicopter up. Also "take out" is pretty vague. I was simply observing that the helicopters reaction to the bullet was extreme. If he was lucky he'd have disabled the chopper but it wouldn't have blown the thing up. I like MW and MW remastered I was just making an observation.

This mission and the Halo 3 Warthog run are some of the greatest FPS experiences I’ve ever had.
Toxic if you’re talking about current Halo (Halo 4 and 5) yes I agree with you it’s a fucking joke. If you’re talking about old Halo (Halo Combat Evolved to Reach) I have to question your mental sanity because they are some of the most well made and incredible games ever made.

Edit: I somehow finished this mission on veteran, the waiting for the helicopter was definitely a pain in the ass. Now I only need to finish the "No fighting in the war room" mission which I believe is much harder than this

This gun is a .50 cal Barrett. It can kill light vehicles.
@@darnit1944 yeah but how does the pilot taking a round trigger an explosion. His body will have absorbed much of the energy from the bullet. Furthermore, as the round is not incendiary it's unlikely to blow the entire helicopter up. Also "take out" is pretty vague. I was simply observing that the helicopters reaction to the bullet was extreme. If he was lucky he'd have disabled the chopper but it wouldn't have blown the thing up. I like MW and MW remastered I was just making an observation.
@@MrRooibos123 It is an anti materiel round. The .50 BMG bullet will easily penetrate human body. So the body will not going to be able to absorb the high energy.
