Pamela was my neighbor. I was 9 and a friend of her little sister. Her death bothered me for years. I am so glad they found out what happened. I wish her mother was alive to have seen this solved. Rip Pam.
The first story about the soldier was very touching how he helped his follow brothers in war get help and then died. He was only a baby so young serving in the military.
Annette itt is a miracle that you survived . You had to endure a lot of pain from that monster, it could have been your end. Thank God you are still with us!
I appreciate how respectful you are of the all murder victims. Thank you for bringing attention to the victims and not the human monsters that get too much attention. Great videos, I can’t get enough. Amy
Wow! I had chills go down my spine!!! Bruce was a skydiver at the old Hinckley drop zone. Back in 1980, I made my first skydive. Bruce worked there and he was my jumpmaster! He seemed to be a nice guy with a funny sense of humor. I was shocked to hear about what happened and what he done. The USPA symbol is the United States Parachute Association.
I love how Otto Miller's grave says, "Onward Christian Soldier," one of my favorite church hymns. My father was in the Air Force, special intelligence in Korean War. I just found Mr. Miller's grave, touching. Thank you for your service, sir.💜❤
Im binged watching your videos interesting and informative enjoy all of it and I do like the fact you pay special tribute to the fallen soldier from a military veteran I give you handshake and salute... 👍👍
At Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien, Illinois is Lester W. Weber. Lester won the Congressional Medal of Honor 🎖 in Vietnam Nam in 1969. He is a true hero. I wished that you included Lester in your video. Also in the same Cemetery is James W. Robinson Jr who in 1966 won the Congressional Medal 🏅 of Honor. I was friends with both of these heroes younger brothers.
Yeah there’s so many people at the cemeteries, you just can’t get to them all, I try to do some C M of Honor guys when I can, And not just World War II or Vietnam, I just finished one two weeks ago of a WW1 guy named Jake Allex en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jake_Allex At a Serb monastery/ cemetery, stay tuned for that one...I think I’ve got it tee’ed up to come out in three or four weeks. I think you’ll like it.
I love that u found those flowers and put them on her grave as thats what I do also. When I visit Oakhill Cemetery here in Janesville, WI, I always check the trash cans as people throw out so many beautiful plastic flowers. I take them and put them on older graves that obviously have no family left, just to let them see that someone , even though a stranger, does care
Thank you for bringing to surface the murders of these people, I'll be honest I never heard of these murders but I'm glad that you're acknowledging who these people were in this world and what tragedies followed 😞☹️😔😩
You and I have much in common but that's for another time. I'm new to your channel and also enjoy going to old cemeteries. The peace, history and art all help to lift my spirits. I was shocked to see this episode. I went to school and graduated from HS with this 'guy' and have many friends in that cemetery. We weren't close but I knew his name and readily identified his photo. It is from our 1971 yearbook. I had no idea of this story at all. My jaw literally dropped. Thank you for your postings and the obvious care and respect you show.
Kerr came in for dinner with his wife at Petey’s Bungalow in Oak Lawn where I worked in the mid 90s and I still have his autograph. He was nice and gracious.
Keep up the good work. You are true to your choice of channel name . Faces of the forgotten . You bring to light many cases and include many just regular people not to be forgotten .
I agree. I use to subscribe to another channel because I love to hear the stories behind the stones. Unfortunately I left that channel because the blogger was an anti-social type of personality that bled into his commentaries. I thank you that you are more respectful with not only the victims but your tribute to those who served in the military. My husband served vietnam 1968 - 1970, green beret. He was Huey pilot, shot down 3 and specialized in jungle warfare which also taught in Panama. He also trained Korean Tiger soldiers before he was finally assigned out. As with most vets, he doesn't talk about his experiences, but one time he did open up. It was absolutely riveting what these guys did. I'm sure it is the same regardless which war was fought. My only child, my son, served in Iraq 2002-2003, medic, was hurt last day as the were packing equipment up. He made it home, the wounds heal, but the PTSD is never will. He only told one story of a little girl he was working on. He had to remove all the damaged tissue. He chokes up because he says he can't get the image of her staring at him. You see she had been burned so badly that the nerves were damaged (3rd degree). He doest know if she survived. My heart goes out to all servicemen. They have my sincerest gratitude because they answer the call to not only to protect our freedoms, but to help defend those who are suppressed by tyranny and can't defend themselves.
I am soo surprised John Red Kerr’s grave site is not decorated. His voice brought soo much excitement when he would break down every amazing basketball shot by a Bulls player with extreme excitement.
I absolutely love your stories about the people whose graves you visit! Have you ever been to Fargo, North Dakota? The 1957 F5 tornado in Fargo killed nearly a whole family, the Munsons. Six of the 7 children were killed at their home when the twister hit.
He and his ilk are right out of a 600 page book written in 2019 by Gary Brucato, PhD and Michael Stone, MD, titled The New Evil: Understanding the Emergence of Modern Violent Crime. The thesis is that sometime in the mid-1960's, (they call 1965 the fulcrum year), there is compelling evidence that, since a cultural tipping-point in the 1960s, certain types of violent crime have emerged that in earlier decades never or very rarely occurred. They say that philosophical, psychological and cultural changes in both individuals and society have resulted in crimes that are of such cruelty and brutality as to be breathtaking and unlike any committed in earlier times outside of war. The perpetrators are heavily represented by those who came of age in the late 60's and early 70's, mostly male, during the chaos and drug plagued breakdown of our society. Mr. Lindahl, born in 1953, fits right into this category. The authors examine the biological and psychiatric factors behind serial killing, serial rape, torture, mass and spree murders, and other severe forms of violence. They persuasively argue that, in at least some cases, a collapse of moral faculties contributes to the commission of such heinous crimes, such that "evil" should be considered not only a valid area of inquiry, but, in our current cultural climate, an imperative one. They consider the effects of new technologies and sociological, cultural, and historical factors since the 1960s that may have set the stage for "the new evil." Further, they explain how personality, psychosis, and other qualities can meaningfully contribute to particular crimes, making for many different motives. Relying on their extensive clinical experience, and examination of writings and artwork by infamous serial killers, these experts offer many insights into the logic that drives horrible criminal behavior, and they discuss the hope that in the future such violence may be prevented.
Just finished reading that book. Very insightful as well as alarming. As a woman who came of age during the 70's I feel fortunate to be relatively unscathed. It's a dangerous world and men like Lindahl too numerous, then and now. Not surprised LE at the time did nothing when a victim came forward. At least now her complaint would be taken more seriously.
Sorry about that hit the botton befor i was finished....these murders should not be in the same cemeteries as good people just a thought...take care and keep up the good work.....Mary...in Canada
So I was interested in what USPA was on Lindahl's grave. I found the United States Parachute Association, and if you notice that looks like a parachute on the marker above the wings. Didn't see it mentioned in the comments, so I thought I'd mention it.
Please look into the murder of Valerie Percy, daughter of United States Senator from Illinois, Charles Percy. This happened in the late 60s, I think. It was on the news constantly, but nothing since then. It was never solved and I'd like to see her grave and her parents.
Hey Ron, it's Pj. God bless you, you have a huge heart.💓 wanted to say to everyone who lost their lives thanks to Ron , we can watch and see and hear your story. Pamela so sorry. I was born October 22 1963. We could have been friends I'm sorry you lost that part of your life, our generation was the best and you should have been there. I think out of all these sad stories I hear I will remember you the most. Your smile I'm sure alone lightened up the sky. Sleep well, I won't forget you. Rip.as always. Pj💖
A thousand kudos for using the word 'recipient' instead of 'winner.' No one 'wins' the MOH or any other medal. The medals are awarded and the soldier or sailor is the recipient of such awards. Very well done.
I have been reading through the replies to see if anyone posted about his son. So sad. I also came across this incredible bit of information: “When Johnny Kerr was 3 years old, his 32-year-old father, a stockyards meat packer, died of pneumonia. When Kerr was 32, his 3-year-old son died of meningitis.” (Quotes because I copy/pasted from a website).
Mr. Lester.. You are a true hero! My Grandfather died in a German POW camp while my grandmother carried my mother… he was never able to be returned home and she never knew him. These are the men who are the heroes in my book, the very definition of bravery and standing up to evil.
I think that you are a very gracious gentleman that goes to honor the victims. Not just focus on the murder. You have a very kind heart . I find your channel interesting just found your channel and I am playing catch up watching your other videos. Good job gathering the data on all of these people good job they all are in God's care now
It makes me so mad when I hear about a guy like Lindahl who pretty much got away with murder among the rest of his crimes. Well, at least on this earth but definitely not eternally. Then the other side of the coin is a guy like Fred Lester. What a hero! Greater love has no man then to lay down his life for his friends, and that's exactly what he did. RIP to him and may he have eternal joy in heaven. Your story about John Kerr and Michael Jordan made me smile. I was never a sports fanatic, but when Michael Jordan played, I had to watch. He was magic!! I'm glad this sad video ended on a happy note.
Elizabeth Drews was my mom's step cousin. My mom used to babysit for her. Terrible that this happened to her and so many others. Glad these cases are getting solved and some sort of closure for the families. 🌹
Ty for making known so many forgotten and the stories behind them…true treasure and for the respect you pay them and our veterans. Just an FYI…Mr. Lester was a Navy corpsman and not a medic. Medics are Army and Corpsman are Navy. This is just information, not intended to be unkind. Soldiers have rivalry among the different branches of service and joke about these things. My husband was a Navy corpsman attached to the marines in Vietnam so I thought I mentioned it. Keep up the great work and can’t wait for you to come to Texas. I haven’t found a channel for Texas with the initiative you put into your work.
I have many family all around the united states with the last name Miller. Also at the very end of the video you said you were born in 1959 my mother was born January 31st 1959

12:28 I've read about iconography on headstones before, and I've seen definitions for doves, eagles, owls, and just generic "birds in flight" but I've never seen one for crows. What's the meaning?
You would think his parents had some inkling of what he was capable of when his body was found with his victim. 28 stab wounds is not self defense against an assailant who had no weapon. And the wound to his thigh was self inflicted. What did they think happened? Clearly their son was the murderer of Huber.
I have found that you can get those plastic flowers very cheap at the Dollar store. It's crazy what they charge for that stuff at those shops near the cemeteries themselves
Very strange, been binging FOTF today and the last 4 stories I have watched have all had something with either Sycamore or St. Charles, Ill. Weird, huh. Bruce was born in St. Charles.
Hi, I love watching your show. Anyways, if by any chance that you be traveling to Minnesota or Missouri (I’m sorry I don’t know what town he was born in). Can you look up Bradley Krause. He was in the Navy during the Vietnam war. Thank you. God bless
You are correct; from other commenters I have seen. And then I did confirm with a woman (that he almost got), who was actually parachuting with him. I think I remember her saying that he was a parachute instructor.

Sir, I love how all the cemeterys are well kept. We have a lot of vandalism here in the UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧 it's so disgusting
It happens in America too? Also don’t know were in the uk your from but the cemetery’s near me are beautiful.

Maybe as it's a lawn cemetery the mowing is easier without the vases. If someone wants to add flowers they go to the office to ask for a vase.

Very strange, been binging FOTF today and the last 4 stories I have watched have all had something with either Sycamore or St. Charles, Ill. Weird, huh. Bruce was born in St. Charles.
yep, I was in that area, it ties together. I'm glad you like the productions Dana!!
Bruce doesn't deserve that dove.😡🤬
and not even a crow, because those are beautiful birds too
@@TheBabs1984 definitely, on the crows. Sensitive, intelligent birds.
Hi, I love watching your show. Anyways, if by any chance that you be traveling to Minnesota or Missouri (I’m sorry I don’t know what town he was born in). Can you look up Bradley Krause. He was in the Navy during the Vietnam war. Thank you. God bless
RIP Chuck. 42 years later I still think about you❤
