Don't you worry about that it is all well planned and sorted out asylums and refugees, you will see that they will say that if their immigration policy wasn't put in place for the international protection applicants then they would have not been able to help asylums and refugees doctors, because of this system and policies they were able to help these doctors and to give them further training needed, just wait until they will open the door for the Palestinians refugees due to arrive in Europe and Ireland and majority young men. Many of these asylums and refugees be hired by private security companies and from there on moved to the new gardai and military, navy recruitment's and yes the chosen ones to run for local representatives to have more diversity in society Ireland is too white 😅
Shockin enough they're actually very different issues. You could spend less on a hospital and still not have any doctors or a shorter wait time in a and e.
This,Hospital should never have been, BUILD THERE, BLANCHARDSTOWN WAS THE PLACE PLEANTY OF SPACE AROUND THAT HOSPITAL 🏥, WHEN THE NEW ONE DOES FINALLY OPEN .NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO GET IT OR OUT.
Well of course our anger is directed at the fact that it's unforgivably late in opening, but it's not wrong to be equally angry about the grotesque waste of taxpayers money in getting to that point. The two are not mutually exclusive, the ineptitude of Gov and their careless disregard for taxpayers money is what allows these disgraceful delays to happen, nobody will be sacked and nobody that's in on the job will lose money over it. €1.6 billion would have paid for thousands of operations abroad that sick children soo badly needed. Kieran has badly thought out this one, if at all. 😢
Sure pay for kids to have surgery abroad at a ridiculously inflated rate but what about kids that would be to sick to travel or don't have the time to make an over seas trip. What do you do for kids who need frequent medical intervention? Exporting Ireland healthcare doesn't avoid a crisis, it just makes new ones.
@@mar4707 I was giving an example of what €1.6billion could have done besides being wasted in overspends at the hospital. The gov was warned over and over that this would happen, and the gov responded over and over that it would not happen. I did say "operations" abroad, obviously not regular services, but again I was only holding it up as an example of what could be achieved instead of the grotesque waste. Inflation can only account for a small percentage of the increase in costs, the rest is down to woeful planning, guidance, administration and implementation.
They probably are hiding dont forget the people that designed the hospital they need to study building economics and costing as they obviously havent a clue about realistic designs regarding budgets etc
A builder offered to build the hospital at the red cow or west entrance to dublin back in the early 2000, think 2006. He was ignored.. it would have made scense for all other counties to have access to the childrens hospital. He was ignored when someone suggested the mater site!!
@@tomgreene1843I the case of children's hospitals, clinical is not the only consideration. Sick children are cared for on a shared basis by parents, there is significant wellness and healing value in green spaces, play areas, fresh air, pet visits, family accommodation and ease of access. Much of this was dismissed by the HSE....a monumentally dysfunctional organisation.
Not to excuse any over runs due to bad management ..but remember the monthly Dept of Health budget is around 2 bn. or 500 million per week...yet we have the SF spokesman almost suggesting that the minister should attend a weekly meeting on the hospital case ...if we have a minister promising to do such we will end up with a total basket case....
The children’s hospital should never have been given the go ahead in the city. It makes zero sense to build that hospital in the city where traffic is a massive problem and parking.
Ah no, we should be angry at 2 billion, is it too much to expect value for the hard earned tax we pay? Such wastage is unforgivable, someone should be held accountable but as is normal, lessons will be learned.
Who signed off on this and where’s the breakdown? Doctor in temple street bought metal parts in Woodies. Whose checking the spare parts in hospitals? Nobody fit for purpose in Ireland. Where’s Mary Harney Minister for Fair Deal? Who’s her replacement now. Minister for Nursing Homes? Oh wait Minister for Illegal Immigrant Homes now. Old Irish dumped out.
I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of admitting a child to this hospital and returning him safely to their home and do the other things not because they are hard but because there supposed to be easy.
How are we spending 2b on a hospital when there is no doctors and your waiting up to 16 hrs in an A+E

Hello ,why is government overspend not a problem? But its the citizens asking not the propaganda media ? Why so ?
Correct
Overnight B and B in a Bonsecours Hospital costs 1000 euros sharing a room.
No problem,Ukrainian pets are being cared for and travelling first class to boot.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Underatted comment.
Quantity surveyors should be sacked.

Would that have been the best clinical location in your consideration ?
Noel Smith I think it was. An offer that was scoffed at. 😢

I don't know.
I meant 'someone' was pushing for mater, but having lived in Dublin, I thaught, 'what's going on ?' It would not facilitate the rest of the country..

We need a tax strike

The neverending story of the escalating bills - while seemingly getting nowhere! A bit Oirish?
I'm angry on behalf of the children who were experimented on with steel springs. Surely a law was broken, yet not one surgeon held to account!
remember the Bertie Bowl that was buried well its just risen from the dead
Is there anyone responsible for anything.Shambolic and incompetent 🛑

Irelands ArriveCan, this is the Bertie Bowl in effect
there are up to seven layers of contractors subbing to subbies, total joke
