This Catholic just returned home from casting her vote. My God-given spirit of discernment leads me. It led me in 2016 and 2020 as well. Character matters. 💙💙💙
I agree. The Pro-Life Movement offers nothing to enrich or encourage life after birth. No medical care, meals, housing, education, and/or public safety measures are being promoted for the living, breathing beings that walk God's Earth. Actually, they want everything that would endanger lives. Makes no sense. 💙
I am the mom of a 40 year old daughter. When I was 39 I had an early miscarriage due to undiagnosed uterine cancer. My doctor performed a d&c, and then later a hysterectomy to make sure all my 1B cancer was gone. I am a Christian. I am pro life. But I know from my experiences that we as women have all kind of heartbreaking things that can happen with our reproductive systems beyond our control. I have compassion for all women, who like me have faced such unbelievable pain and unimaginable heartbreak. So when I hear a so called Christian leader or pastor say we have to vote for Trump, I think of women like me, who will die due to being unable to get the gynecological care they need. My daughter has fewer rights now than I did before roe was repealed! And I cannot comprehend or follow any so called Christian leader or politician who supports Trump. Trump is a convicted rapist, an adulterer, a traitor, a racist who is full of hate and malice. How any man can support Trump who is a rapist and boasts of taking away the healthcare of the women in men’s lives say they love their wife, their sister, their mother or daughter is beyond my comprehension! His Christian nationalist followers say he is like David, Trump says he is God’s chosen and his blasphemy makes me sick at heart. Is it any wonder why so many are leaving the churches here. The misogyny towards women in the church is overwhelming! And the hatred of so many men towards women in society. Where is the compassion in the church for those in need? In desperate situations? I do not see the love of Christ in the Christian nationalists, just greed for money and power. I voted for Kamala Harris. Her compassion and empathy, and yes, her joy is what we so desperately need in the USA right now. And hope for a better future! Trump and his rhetoric have been like a cancer spreading across my country. I fear for my country and democracy if he wins the presidency again. He envies and admires dictators, and he wants to be one! God forbid Trump ever gets the presidency again or has access to the nuclear codes! Please pray for the USA. We need it so desperately right now! Thank you!
Unfortunately my mom and grandma are opposite. They’re obsessed with Trump and believe all that crap about how Biden and Harris are evil and not _real_ Christians, refusing to see how Trump uses Christianity as a prop. All because they’re Democrats.
But how can you vote for Harris? She is just as bad!!! No one voted for her to run in the first place and she has done nothing to show her value whatsoever...... I am an independent. I voted for Trump twice. Both are basically the same party. I will not for either one. I don't care if my vote is wasted at least they can't use it. My name will not be associated with either one.
@@DebbieAdams-i8n actually, she got the nomination in keeping with the rules of the Democratic Party. If you don’t like the rules, join the party, run for the rules committee and change the rules. It was all according to Hoyle.
I am Catholic (used to be anyway ), and I voted Harris Wallz. As have all my friends. As for pro choice or prolife, i can only say that while I couldn't get an abortion, i don't have any right or desire to regulate what other women do or need to do. It's a heart-wrenching enough decision for a woman to make without having to be judged by someone, especially men, for their actions.
Well said I agree 100%. I'm pro choice , don't like idea of abortion but who am I to judge you can't legislate it too many variables . We all stand to give account to God not the government. I'm still looking for scripture focusing on Abortion. Jesus said love God and your neighbour as yourself and then dropped the mic. A friend shocked me but made me think. What happens to kids under the age of accountability , they go to heaven, so he said what about miscarriages and abortions. As I said I was shocked but had to agree .
I’m a Catholic who feels the same way. It’s not the government’s business, nor for me to judge, what other women choose when it comes to abortion. Voted Blue.
I am a registered Republican - I vote for the person and consider myself an Independent now. I will NEVER vote a for a republican ever again (and haven't since trump showed up). My eyes are opened and I see the error of my previous votes. I can clearly see he is a dangerous, dangerous person. Nothing good can come of it - nothing.
@@user-wx2ey3iq3e Don't take it from me, take it from Republican 4 star general and Trump chief of staff John Kelly who said, "Certainly the former president is in the far-right area, he’s certainly an authoritarian, admires people who are dictators - he has said that. “FEAR BASED?” “…do this, go to hell, do that, go to hell, say that, go to hell, love THESE people, go to hell, VOTE DEMOCRAT, go to hell.” I mean, from the start, their whole religious outlook is fear based.
There is a reason Luther rebelled and started a new Church. And you have 100's of flavors of Methodists. Then Baptists and Non- Denominational and yadda yadda. Christians don't agree with each other. But many are centered on Christ. Those ones sound like Rev Ed. Christians don't agree with each other
Im a practicing Christian. The issue im voting for is democracy. The rest are morality issues thats up to the parents when they raise their children, and if they are with a christian faith or other religion, my family and all my relatives have always voted. Im a humanitarian.
The issue is not democracy but is the survival of a republic. In a democracy there is no protection of individual rights because a democracy is mob rule and mobs make up law as they proceed to violate every right of any individual at the full discretion of the mob.
Well said. In fact, VERY WELL SAID! THANK YOU! ❤ It absolutely amazes me how so many of my fellow "American, Evangelical, Conservative Christian friends cannot conceive why I have stopped attending church...as well as supporting them financially, even after telling them I am sick of having MAGA and Trump shoved down my throat like it's all part of the gospel of Jesus. The truth is, as you have said, it's not. And it never will be. But, sadder yet, we as the Church, have seem to have forgotten more importantly: "Love the Lord your God with ALL your heart, mind, and soul... ... and love your neighbor as yourself." We have forgotten that it is WE OURSELVES, who promote "prolife" throughout the world, with our love. ❤
My Bible tells me it is a duty to vote. I voted by absentee ballot 5 days ago for Harris. I'm in SW Ohio. I'm a 72 year old Puerto Rican NEVER Trumper.
Conversely, he looks a whole lot like the dude their dads fought against in WW2. My grandfather was a POW and died when my dad was 10…. How my dad can support trump is beyond me.
This was the deal since Jerry Falwell's _Moral Majority_ in the 1970s. Even then abortion access wasn't a particularly big issue for the ministries, but it was an anger point Falwell could latch on to: He convinced the GOP candidates to be anti-abortion-access (it was not well understood, and an easy concession), and then tell his voting bloc the GOP is going to save all the unborn babies and preserve family values. This was (I think) the first time the single-issue voter was recognized and exploited. And it got Reagan into power in 1980, just after we had the nicest president ever. Family values since then have been represented by stripping down government social services while expecting Christian ministries to take up the slack (non-Christian ministries were ineligible for government subsidies). Sex ed in schools was replaced with abstinence-only education (featuring a lot of transactionalist-marriage stereotypes and false data). The ownership class got lots of tax breaks, and everyone was mostly distracted by the War in Iraq and the International War on Terror. Featuring torture and PMCs and black ops (that would turn into drone-strikes). Kurt Vonnegut even called out the religious right before he died, and Carter walked away from the Southern Baptist Church noting that it not longer represented what he believed. So by the time the _Jesus Gets Us_ propaganda campaign came out, the US was entirely skeptical that it meant what it said, and by then the internet was up and it didn't take much investigation to learn that it was more about ministries fishing for tithes than it was a call for ministries to return to the beatitudes and to offer compassion and mercy. It showed the world Jesus was no longer a philosophy or ideology, but a brand for commercial interests. It's why I think we can't rely on Jesus or Christianity as a shorthand for an ideology, because the brand can be repurposed to sell french fries, or monarchy. We have to instead rely on the doctrine itself, without shorthand. We can't vote for the guy out ministries tell us to, or the one who promises allegiance to Jesus. We have to vote for the guy who makes sure students have school lunches and tampons.
I’m an older person, and I remember this history. The Moral Majority, which, despite its name, was a PAC, not a religious organization, had really gotten ahold of the GOP by the time I could vote in my first election. The Moral Majority was neither. By the end of Reagan’s second term, it was losing support, and shut down shortly after. I kinda thought we were rid of the whole mess, until it came back with a vengeance. Incidentally, if you look back just a smidge further than Roe, you can find the link between the rise of the MM and the issue that was the true catalyst that spawned the desire to find a polarizing issue from which political power could be gained. That issue was not actually abortion. Instead, that issue was the desire to allow for the continuation of segregation in schools (a la Bob Jones university.) But, they certainly couldn’t appeal to the masses, religious or otherwise, with that one, given the changing views of the time. They considered other issues of the day, such as equal rights for women. They didn’t figure they could get wide appeal on that one, either. Eventually, abortion was selected as the issue that could most likely have the widest appeal to get them the backing they needed, so they ran with it. For them, abortion as a moral issue was, and still is, nothing more than a political tool to reign in paying supporters and voters by pretending to align with their religious convictions. And, unsurprisingly, racism was at the foundation of the movement.
I'm always astonished that apologists for Trump point to King David, a man after God's own heart, wasn't unflawed, and Trump is just the same. Except he isn't, and you can only believe that because of cognitive dissonance.
David did have flaws-- so does every human, so it's hard for me to see why it's significant to say that. But isn't there something about "by their fruits shall you know them"? It's also hard for me to understand how people don't see the fear and hate.
The pharisees wanted a political messiah to free Israel from pagan rome, and make Israel "great again", they wanted a political messiah to use force and power, Jesus did not side with them. He came to free sinners from sin, for both left and right, for both Jew and Gentile.
I am so grateful for your insight. Living in East Texas where people bring up Trump in the church, not our pastor thankfully, but members do. I feel like a lone sojourner. You've helped me have clarity on what their thinking is regarding voting for Trump, things I could never come to answer. I still am dumbfounded at Christians supporting a man who makes fun of people with disabilities, lies constantly, and on one occasion said "I'm not Christian" at a broadcasted event. So, thank you very much for your caring and Bible based mindset.
Thank you Rev for bring us to the rational center of truth. I've been getting more anxious every day, so yesterday I was talking to the Lord about it, and told him my mind/heart is making so much noise I'm getting pushed out of the flock. He let me know in the lightning flash of his opinion, that I need to get closer to Him, so I can see Him all the time, and that's what I need. I took that to mean to go back to my Christian books and educational programs where I can clearly see Him. I'm sharing so other Christians can know too. Right now I'm reading Christ's Object Lessons, old book but very centering. May He bless all of us at this nerve wracking time💖💖💖
The right to life chapter where I live, came out with a statement, that our goal is far more than abortion, our goal is to fight against all unnecessary death. In other words, pro-life means more than being against abortion, it means being against all unnecessary death, from all types of violence, mismanagement of medical issues as well as abortion.
As the Christian left I proudly voted early today for Vice President Harris and the down ticket Democratic candidates. As Rev Ed would say the people who have read the red letters.
It concerns me that Republican Christians don't appear to care anything about the people that are being chased away from Jesus and his love, healing and power.
My closest relative, who I call sister, is born again & daily devotions are part of her life. She is 61; I am 67. I am not "born again." I love the teachings of Jesus & if I had to leave America, I believe Nova Scotia would be my destination to be part of your church Rev Ed. We have in the last few days butted heads about politics. I think that for a portion of these professed Christians, it's not so much that they think 45 is "godly", more that "the other side" appears to be "ungodly", and therefore the privileged rich boy is "godly" purely by default. And any fact that tarnishes that thin veil, is to be ignored, brushed off, or denounced, because they can't bear the idea that "the other side" has any positives to them, or should hold power.
I love Jesus, and l cast my vote for Harris Walz today. I believe that Jesus would rebuke tRump and all the magas who are primarily driven by power and greed.
I know a Marxist who goes out and feeds the homeless seven days a week. I’ve never seen a preacher do that. I’ve seen a socialist buy winter coats every spring and store them in an empty room in his house until fall moves into winter. He always has three or four in the trunk of his car. If he sees someone without a coat, he has one to give away on the spot or he will take that person back to his house to make sure they have a coat. I’ve never seen a preacher do that. I’m not so sure those preachers are who they say they are.
The notion that “I’m voting for the policy, not the candidate” is so sad. It says “the ends justify the means.” It says the candidate’s behavior doesn’t matter nor how antithetical their actions are to Christ. How many people is that example turning away from the church?
I had another thought on this: the woman with the issue of blood in the New Testament Luke 8:43-48. Verses 43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years,[a] but no one could heal her. 44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. 45 “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.” 46 But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.” 47 Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. 48 Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.” Jesus showed compassion, and understanding, she was considered unclean under Jewish law due to her bleeding. So she should not have touched him , but her desperation for a cure and her faith in Jesus brought healing to her. 12 years of suffering and misery…gone in a moment. That is the compassion and love that should be shown in the church today. Sharing Jesus love, light, and truth. May we all continue to share His love and compassion to everyone, and be His hands extended…
I wish a reporter or journalist would ask Trump the names of the five gospels. It does two things: firstly, it's a trick question, secondarily, I doubt he could name more than two off the top of his head. Not sure how this hasn't come up yet.
I think you hit the bull eye of the current issue. Thanks for making it VERY clear to all listeners of this channel. Hopefully he will not be returning to make the world a worse than current situation. He simply lacks the qualities and capabilities of a resilient but kind leader during troubling times for all people or at least for the betterment of the working class majority, if no other option is available.
This is exactly the argument for separation of church and state. The Constitution states "We hold these truths self-evident." There is nothing self-evident about Blind Faith religion. A person's faith is their own. They have the right to believe what they want but they do not have the right to force it on others or control people's lives by electing a "false prophet" simply because they believe their blind faith tells them to.
There's a funny RUclips clip I just found from 5 years ago called "GOP Jesus". A man in a robe speaks Jesus' words to people, but with a twist. "Do unto others...as you suspect what they might want to do unto you." "I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. Now I'm all entitled - you shouldn't have done that."
Rightwing Republicans view God as a monolithic, unchanging, and rigid god who holds obedience above love and subservience above freedom. He is also a weak god who needs Republicans to enforce his will on earth. He is a god who cannot tolerate cultural change or cultural progress. We are to remain in a medieval dogma for eternity. Progressives see God as a dynamic and living God who self-reflects and grows as we grow. He is at the vanguard of human progress. He is all powerful and encompassing. He directs the world as he sees fit and does not need our interference to achieve his goals. One is living and evolving. The other is dead and rigid as stone.
Rev Ed excellent point. But first of all your church or any church should not know how you vote. I am 64 and when i was young my Dad told me to never tell anyone how i vote. Because it can start a firestorm. and when i got older i understood what he told me.
“Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and they're sure trying to do so, it's going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise. I know, I've tried to deal with them.” - Barry Goldwater, Republican, 1960s
No one is addressing the elephant in the room. It's not about Kamala. It's not about Donald. Its about churches endorsing a political party or individual within their church walls. The Johnson amendment is not being enforced.
I think you're onto something. I also think that's the reason many "churches" have fired their pastors or left their churches for revival-type meetings where Trump - and not Jesus - is preached. That is their way of trying to circumvent the very problem you've pointed out.

Do you recall what side the Religious Right supported before the Civil Rights movement? To me, it seems they gravitate toward the side that promotes hate thy neighbor for being different.
I struggle with abortion as contraception but the difference in character between Harris and Trump are too stark to ignore. Doctors and patients need to make these decisions, not white male politicians. And we need to protect children after they are born, not just beforehand.
Seems like I have heard that there are, also, a number of sermons on Paul's letters saying that Christians should not be part of the world; that Christians serve their time on Earth waiting for the Rapture of the Saints and the events suggested by the Book of Revelations. Yet Jesus taught us to pray that "...[God's] will be done on Earth..." So who you gonna follow... * The one who told half of us to sit down and shut up even while taking the support from that half and occasionally lifting those people up or * The one who told us to feed the hungry, provide drink for the thirsty, take in the refugee/homeless/stranger, clothe the naked, care for the sick, and visit (ensure adequate treatment) for the prisoner. Not really posing this as an either / or, both / and can work as long as there is balance.

The Biblical truth about Trump, other than the 30+ verses that describe the Antichrist that Trump & Co match: Isaiah 2:22 - _Put no more trust in man, who has only the breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?_ Psalm 146:3-4 - _Put not your trust in princes, in mortal man, who cannot save. When his spirit departs, he returns to the ground; on that very day his plans perish._ Jeremiah 17:5 - This is what the LORD says: *_“Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind, who makes the flesh his strength and turns his heart from the LORD."_*
Yes, Rev. Trevors, I don't get what they are seeing. Other than Fox News makes Donald look normal. They don't show the awful, horrible things he says and does.
Whether they are considered errant Christians or just church goers doesn't matter. They left or avoided the teachings of Christ. They may think they are the best of Christians, but like all of us they need to do a self evaluation . I feel Christians have an obligation to vote to help those in need. To not vote is not very far from voting for trump. This faulty Christian, after much prayer, reflection, and study, will confidently vote Democrat and is glad to do so.
As a European Christian I have to say we think supporting Trump is as Unchristian as it can get. Now you might justify this to yourself by lying to yourself and turning a blind eye. But I doubt that our Lord will accept that as an excuse
The constitution that is the supreme law of the land forbids any religious test as qualification for a president of a secular republic that is the USA. So it is not even legal to be applying such criteria to any federal election as so many people are trying to do, and exceeds the scope of the legal contract under which the election is being conducted. From a purely legal standpoint what is being done to apply a prohibited religious test in defiance of the law could be argued nullifies the entire proposition of the election. The election of a president is not a piety contest, nor is the appointment of any judge or any military officer. Profound absurdity is shown to apply a religious test to what is not a choosing of a church leader, but choosing a CEO of a nation who is also chief law enforcement officer, and military chief. When a person chooses a surgeon or a ship captain do they choose the most qualified based on a religious test, or is it a priority for proficiency at the job expected as their duty?
Politics and Government, from my understanding, fall under us being in the World but not of the World, rendering to Cesar, etc. As citizens, yes, take part in elections to pass laws to rule the people as a whole. However, you cannot legislate morals. That is our calling, the spread of the World, to try and persuade people to live Godly.
The same thing is true of Jesus: there is no evidence to prove that he has anything to do with a deity and divine law either. There is more evidence to believe the values of Jesus are more likely derived via human thought and early philosophers.
Trump is a imposter deceiving many Christians. He loves money and gold. You can not serve two masters. You will love one and hate the other you cannot serve both God and money! “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Matthew 6:24 Near the end of His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus issued this stark warning to His listeners: “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves” (Matthew 7:15). For many imposters (seducers, deceivers, and false leaders) have gone out into the world, men who will not acknowledge (confess, admit) the coming of Jesus Christ (the Messiah) in bodily form. 2 John 1:7-13 Trump is Antichrist just as Hitler was deceiving the masses!
The usccb's Catholic Voter Guide lists 47 issues we should consider. Abortion is ONE. Harris aligns with 39 of these. trump aligns with 14.
Voted Blue.
Exactly 😊

Im a practicing Christian. The issue im voting for is democracy. The rest are morality issues thats up to the parents when they raise their children, and if they are with a christian faith or other religion, my family and all my relatives have always voted. Im a humanitarian.
The issue is not democracy but is the survival of a republic.

Well said. In fact, VERY WELL SAID! THANK YOU! ❤
It absolutely amazes me how so many of my fellow "American, Evangelical, Conservative Christian friends cannot conceive why I have stopped attending church...as well as supporting them financially, even after telling them I am sick of having MAGA and Trump shoved down my throat like it's all part of the gospel of Jesus.
The truth is, as you have said, it's not. And it never will be.
But, sadder yet, we as the Church, have seem to have forgotten more importantly:
"Love the Lord your God with ALL your heart, mind, and soul...
... and love your neighbor as yourself."
We have forgotten that it is WE OURSELVES, who promote "prolife" throughout the world, with our love. ❤
My Bible tells me it is a duty to vote. I voted by absentee ballot 5 days ago for Harris. I'm in SW Ohio. I'm a 72 year old Puerto Rican NEVER Trumper.

Thanks for all you are doing. I already voted for the truth, hope and the compassion for our brothers and sisters. 💙
David got down on his knees, begged God for forgiveness and changed his ways
They got me to vote, but my vote is not for Trump.

May He bless all of us at this nerve wracking time💖💖💖
You've got that right!!!
What they all fear is knowledge.
One of the reasons I became a Democrat is because I don't want the right's version of "Christianity" to run this country.
The right to life chapter where I live, came out with a statement, that our goal is far more than abortion, our goal is to fight against all unnecessary death. In other words, pro-life means more than being against abortion, it means being against all unnecessary death, from all types of violence, mismanagement of medical issues as well as abortion.
Thank you, as always, for saying the things that need to be said.
As the Christian left I proudly voted early today for Vice President Harris and the down ticket Democratic candidates. As Rev Ed would say the people who have read the red letters.
It concerns me that Republican Christians don't appear to care anything about the people that are being chased away from Jesus and his love, healing and power.
You can not regulate morality or Christianity it comes from the soul, the heart, and the love for our fellow man.
Thank you Rev Ed! I never understood why being convicted was a positive thing to trumpsters, thank you for the clarification!

I could NEVER see her supporting a man like Donald Trump because of his lack of character, humanity, ethics... yet she refuses to say a thing because politics are "divisive." (And who is most to blame for that now? I believe Donald Trump) She refuses to talk about politics; O.K. I asked "Do you listen to politics?"
I tried to make the point that you can put your headphones on & listen to music all day long but politics are part of your everyday life whether you like it or not....
the road that you use to drive to work, or the bridge you cross; your mom or your patient's access to Social Security; whether a poor child gets at least one meal a day.
I asked, "Is everyone supposed to stay home, not vote & God will let us know his decision?

I don't see Jesus in either candidate and I can't bring myself to vote for either. It's really frustrating.
It's true, they are told or hinted at to vote for Republicans. I cannot attend a church like that. But I watch it online. Well said, Rev. Ed.
I am a Christian and have already early voted for Harris and Democrats all the way down ballot.
I'm christian and I voted people won't like who I voted for but who cares. I at least voted
This is something else the polls aren't capturing. 2016/20 Trump voters who might not support Harris but won't be voting for Trump again.
In a democracy it is the duty of every citizen to vote. In an autocracy their vote won't matter.
I have heard this from my old church
My spiritual journey ended in atheism, but I do enjoy you and your channel. Always wise words.
Independent voting blue down the ticket.
How many people is that example turning away from the church?
if you don’t participate, then don’t complain about the aftermath 😬
I had another thought on this: the woman with the issue of blood in the New Testament Luke 8:43-48. Verses 43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years,[a] but no one could heal her. 44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.
45 “Who touched me?” Jesus asked.
When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.”
46 But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.”
47 Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. 48 Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”
Jesus showed compassion, and understanding, she was considered unclean under Jewish law due to her bleeding.
Don straight out said he doesn't sin and doesn't have anything of which to repent. That's blashemy and anti-gospel. That's all we need to know.
Thank you for this refreshment.
Ask people of Appalachia devastated by Hurricane Helene who they endorse.
That should cut through all the BS in a hurry.
9:45 LOL
5:16 I know... surprising...
We can't be lukewarm

I struggle with abortion as contraception but the difference in character between Harris and Trump are too stark to ignore. Doctors and patients need to make these decisions, not white male politicians. And we need to protect children after they are born, not just beforehand.
I guess I can safely vote against trumpism since I'm an unbeliever, right?
Seems like I have heard that there are, also, a number of sermons on Paul's letters saying that Christians should not be part of the world; that Christians serve their time on Earth waiting for the Rapture of the Saints and the events suggested by the Book of Revelations.
Yet Jesus taught us to pray that "...[God's] will be done on Earth..."
So who you gonna follow...
* The one who told half of us to sit down and shut up even while taking the support from that half and occasionally lifting those people up
or
* The one who told us to feed the hungry, provide drink for the thirsty, take in the refugee/homeless/stranger, clothe the naked, care for the sick, and visit (ensure adequate treatment) for the prisoner.
Not really posing this as an either / or, both / and can work as long as there is balance.
^. ^ Oh man ..... This is really scary! Does it not say in your Bible " beware of false profhets" ' " By their fruits ye shall know them" I give up may your God have mercy on your souls ...... I don't say in a bad way Foxy love fae Scotland VVxx
The Biblical truth about Trump, other than the 30+ verses that describe the Antichrist that Trump & Co match:
Isaiah 2:22 - _Put no more trust in man, who has only the breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?_
Psalm 146:3-4 - _Put not your trust in princes, in mortal man, who cannot save. When his spirit departs, he returns to the ground; on that very day his plans perish._
Jeremiah 17:5 - This is what the LORD says: *_“Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind, who makes the flesh his strength and turns his heart from the LORD."_*
The constitution that is the supreme law of the land forbids any
religious test as qualification for a president of a secular republic
that is the USA. So it is not even legal to be applying such criteria
to any federal election as so many people are trying to do, and
exceeds the scope of the legal contract under which the election
is being conducted. From a purely legal standpoint what is being
done to apply a prohibited religious test in defiance of the law
could be argued nullifies the entire proposition of the election.
The election of a president is not a piety contest, nor is the
appointment of any judge or any military officer. Profound
absurdity is shown to apply a religious test to what is not a
choosing of a church leader, but choosing a CEO of a nation
who is also chief law enforcement officer, and military chief.
When a person chooses a surgeon or a ship captain do they
choose the most qualified based on a religious test, or is it
a priority for proficiency at the job expected as their duty?
Jesus was "woke."
Matthew 6:24
Near the end of His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus issued this stark warning to His listeners: “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves” (Matthew 7:15).
For many imposters (seducers, deceivers, and false leaders) have gone out into the world, men who will not acknowledge (confess, admit) the coming of Jesus Christ (the Messiah) in bodily form.
