How did I miss this? Wow, that's a brilliant cover. I am a big Smiths fan but a confession. I was at university in the north of England when the buzz started about this new Mancunian band and was invited by a housemate to travel across the Pennines to go and see them I declined for a night in studying🤦♂️. Muppet. But Joe when you tour Europe I promise I'll come and see you play.
When this tune was first released I listened to it almost constantly and I know it note for note.. I have to say that this is the best cover of anything I have ever heard ! Amazing work ! You really nailed it ..

Amazing job. You're really talented man! This song is much harder to cover successfully than it looks. It's all in the guitar tone and Johnny's such a creative player, I think that's what makes getting the sound right tricky. Morriseys range is what it is but his voice has these little bits of inflection that are difficult to nail as well but you really captured it.
