girl is there anything you don't do - job, writing, youtube, podcast, webinar, school visits, critiques, exercising, having a fiancé, dogs and i assume somewhere in there a social life... safe to say i admire you so much.
My current routine is : KM at breakfast, listening to KM in the car, KM at lunch, KM before sleeping haha you inspire me so much ! I am so glad I discovered your RUclips Channel. It gives me a lot of insights and motivation to pursue my dreams ;) Thank you KM
Talking to myself about scenes and characters is one of the things that really helps me stay on top of my writing and story! So neat to hear someone else does that as well!
I just found (and subscribed to) your channel. Great video! I'm a homeschooling mother of 8 and I work full time night shifts as a pediatric intensive care nurse. I finally decided to stop putting off my writing. All I ever wanted to be growing up was a writer... but I let everyone talk me into being "practical ". Time to get back into writing!
It’s always interesting to catch a glimpse of someone else’s routine. I loved seeing how you balance writing with your other responsibilities. It’s a juggling act for me.
Love love love this video! You are very organized in your writing and I am envious. I’m organized in everything but my creative process. At least not as organized as I would like to be. A couple of weeks ago when you recommended your favourite podcasts I had an idea to ask you whether you would consider starting one but then decided that you probably are to busy. And here you go announcing your podcast!!! :D It is magic!!! Totally subscribing and downloading immediately. 💜
You are so amazing Kristen. You are so driven and motivated. I wish I could be just a fraction like you. Congrats on the podcast. Excited for you. You deserve all the great things happening for you xxx
Hi, I'm a young teen who absolutely loves to write and I'm currently working on and off of a novel idea. Your channel has inspired me beyond belief to work more and more on my story and your definitely one of the most awesome multi-taskers I've heard of! :) Thank you so much for your amazing channel, and I'm looking forward to my school's week long holiday so I can get some inspo from you and write!
Love this style of video and would love to see it applied to how you outline. I know you have a video in your normal format but I'd love to see how you go about applying all that info. Your notes and color coding in your notebooks really intrigued me.
Thank you so much for this video. I didn't know about the writer app, I'll download that now. I needed this video, I seem to have a hard time organizing my writing time.
Thank you so much for this! This will be my first year participating with a full time job and I have been wondering how to juggle writing a novel in a month and focus on work too - this has been such a big help. Your house is stunning by the way. Love the bricks in your office.
A few things I have to say about this Vlog: one, I haven't heard of the Writer App so thank you for that! I have to give that a shot. Two, I like the idea of keeping your story in the background of your mind while you work. I have a dreaded day job as a sales supervisor and a family. I write late at night when it is quiet and so I haven't found a way to "utilize the subconscious" yet since when I go to bed at 3 AM, I am collapsing into a coma even before I hit the pillow! Third comment is well... I mean this with all respect as I think you are a very sharp dresser, but those huge glasses look like you are going to pull someone over for speeding! ha! Kristen Martin, author, video blogger, podcaster and beat cop!! Great video and tips as always -- thanks again!!!
This was great with some good tips. My fav was the exercise break....this prob refuels you for additional work. Where as my "tv" break makes me want to stay in front of the tv. Thanks for this 😁 I didn't see your RUclips work though, do you typically fit that in on weekends?
You are so intelligent and sophisticated it makes me inspired to become like you lol this video is very helpful by showing us what you do in your daily life and how to stay organized I would love to see more videos like this. Your fiancee is a graphic designer?! That's what I'm pursuing xD
Loved it! I've been curious about this as well and was so excited to see this video pop up in notifications. I've said it before, but I really admire your work ethic! Seeing how hard you work keeps me inspired and working hard as well. Still would love to put a collab together!
This was great, I'm just curious, what time do you leave for work, and what time do you get home from work? You seem to get home from work very early, if you can have cooked and eaten dinner by 7:30?
Thank you very much for this videoVLOG! I'm an italian student and with all the work at university it's really difficult for me to have time to write. I don't know if I'm good at writing and if this is going to be my future (I'm actually a biotechnologist) but it's something I really like to do. I've just subscribed to your channel but I've already found some tips that are gonna be very useful, so thank you :) sincerely. Sara P.s. Sorry if my english is incorrect :/
We sound so much alike with our routines. I just don't reread my prior pages, with 35 spare mins in the AM, I use 20 for a sprint, same for right after work. I need more yoga though. You are awesome!
Loved this video i listen to 2 of the podcasts today and i love them your notebooks look so organized how do u do that i plan on listening to the other podcasts as a reward for reaching my word count goal tonight and also I was wondering if u would possibly consider doing a video on essential items needed to start a youtube channel like things to make your channel the best it can be.
Kristen, I LOVE all of these videos! I'm also a self-published author and am gearing up for a new FT job as we speak, and you're helping me remember it *is* possible to do all of this at once (with discipline). Can I ask what your typical work hours are?
Fantastic! All you need is drive. I don't know if I could get used to an app to write fiction, but it will be definitively useful for my academic writing!!! What apps do you recommend?
Does anyone know what's the app she is using at 4:54?? I would love to write there!! Btw, this video helped a lot to get ideas on how to organise my time. Thank you!
Could you please post the link to the writer app that you're using? I have tried finding it in the app store but a bunch of writer apps come up but not the one you're using. Thanks!!
Wow! You are so much prettier without makeup. I'm not saying you aren't pretty with it ( because you are beautiful😁) but without it you are honestly stunning.
Thank you for the fabulous tips, I'm currently trying to juggle the same and with my first novel, and these tips are great! You are Wonder Woman! Is your aim to eventually write full time? So leave your full time job? That's my aim and just want to understand if it is a realistic aim! Thanks :-)
Why haven't I found you before, this is the perfect happy place run by a happy person to work on my story. Thank you for the tips you give me in your videos. You inspire me to push hard in my writing and I'm only 13. I'm writing a serial killer story like the movie scream. I get confused sometimes and that's when I come to this channel to get ideas. A huge thank you from me Kristen, keep up your amazing writing👍📝A quick question. I write my stories like a script, for an example: "what are you doing here?" Rosa said. ⬅️Is that an okay style of writing, like would people read books that are like that?
I love how you keep your writing brain on all day. That's a habit I've been trying to get into more and more

By the way, what application do you use to write your actual books on? Also love the idea of writing past ideas down in a small notebook
Girl, you are a force of nature.
Love this style of video and would love to see it applied to how you outline. I know you have a video in your normal format but I'd love to see how you go about applying all that info. Your notes and color coding in your notebooks really intrigued me.
Wow, you’re an incredible business woman and an inspiration to woman of all ages. Well done Kristen!
Okay, I love your videos, I listen to them on the way to school so I can stay in the mood to write, but
I AM SO JEALOUS OF YOUR HAIR
Thank you for sharing! You are such an inspiration. Love your natural hair by the way!
Thank you so much for this video. I didn't know about the writer app, I'll download that now. I needed this video, I seem to have a hard time organizing my writing time.

Happy you liked it! And yes, I film my RUclips videos on the weekends :)
This is SO INSPIRING!! 😍😊😊
Thank you so much for your helpful ideas! Just subscribed! Can't wait to watch more of your videos!😊😊
This is an excellent video--I hope you do more like it! As someone who balances writing with a full time career, it's incredibly helpful! :)
Love your videos and your process! The car video clip was my favorite lol
Gosh! I think you are amazing! And I haven’t even read your books yet.
I absolutely love your videos and find them so so helpful! Thank you so much!
Great video! I'm also going to check out the apps you mentioned.
I absolutely thank you for showing us that writer app! Now I have it! :D

I could be wrong but I thought I briefly spotted an Erin Condren vertical life planner! 😍

P.s. Sorry if my english is incorrect :/
This is advice I desperately need ❤❤❤.

You are an Organization Dominatrix!...and one of the smartest people I know.
Kristen, I LOVE all of these videos! I'm also a self-published author and am gearing up for a new FT job as we speak, and you're helping me remember it *is* possible to do all of this at once (with discipline).

I love your videos Kristen Martin. God bless you and have a wonderful rest of the day. Btw who won the bookreads giveaway?
Kris M from Michigan :)
Love your hair
Just out of curiosity, what is the font you use for your podcasts title? I really love it! Listening to episode 1 now!
What is the name of the writing app that you use? I love your videos, keep up the great work! You are very inspiring... thank you!
Great tips! Thanks for sharing
Does anyone know what's the app she is using at 4:54?? I would love to write there!!
Btw, this video helped a lot to get ideas on how to organise my time. Thank you!
Little Di it's just Word - I have it formatted specifically for my book, that's why it looks different.
can it be done to wordpad?
I don't know what wordpad is ... I just use Microsoft Word.
Kristen Martin Okay, I will check it out! Thank you for your time!! 💜
SSRaven Why not?
Could you please post the link to the writer app that you're using? I have tried finding it in the app store but a bunch of writer apps come up but not the one you're using. Thanks!!
I would like to know where that app is as well.
What laptop would you suggest for an aspiring author? What kinds of programs do you use?
Thanks so much. I support your channel. How fun! To be a writer. And get paid for it.
thank you for the idea
Do you have link to the writer app you mentioned? Having trouble finding it in my App Store. Thanks.
Yes! This! Thank you 😘
I do that exact same thing. But I do need to write down where I left off in my scene instead of trying to keep it in my head.
Excellent!!!
What writing program do you use? I seen it on ur lap top but I have never seen it before. I use scrivener, but not sure if I'm happy about it.
It's just Word - it looks different because it's formatted specifically for my book layout.
Kristen Martin how do you format it like that? I'm ashamed of how little I know about the functionality of Word.
I would love to know this too!
That format looks awesome because it looks like a real book!
Wow! You are so much prettier without makeup. I'm not saying you aren't pretty with it ( because you are beautiful😁) but without it you are honestly stunning.

The podcast sounds like a great project! :D

Very good,I love you!
Hi!! I just found this!! Do you have a video on the notebooks you use? Thanks!!!
I don't, but love that as a video idea! *writes down in notebook* :)
*kermit-the-frog-flailing-arms-dance*
make more night time routine of writer or weekend routine of writer ((((:
If you don't mind, which writing software do you use when writing?
Carmen Pe'gues Early it's just Word - it looks different because I have it specifically formatted for my book
I can't find that app. Do they still have it?
Lovee this
I had my first day of work today (I'm 17) and I dont know how you manage to write after a full day of work!
I looked on Google Play, but could not find it. Can you provide a shortcut?
Lisa Selgrade there is one to sound cloud in the description box
Omg girl I thought I was the only one who did that in the car.
What app do you use to write out your books on Mac? I've been using Pages, but I'm not crazy about the layout it gives me.
Love your hair💇
What time do you get up? ⏰
Between 5:30 and 6:30AM, depending on whether or not I'm writing that morning :)
