Owned my mk1 Capri since 1978,a 2000gtxlr with a V4 engine, fitted a 4.2 E type Jag engine in 1989 then took it off the road four years later with a blown piston and sadly never got it sorted but now determined to get it going again before my 70th birthday next year,the car I always promised myself............
I always remember his weird auctions that seemed to be all back to front. “Who will give me 300?? No 250… no?? 200? No. Ok we will put it back into stock then”. 😂😂. He was mugging you all off
The Capri has always been my favourite car, I love the styling the twin headlights, the 2 door coupe with the round rear window, the bonnet buldge and 6 clock dash.
Wonderful sight, the capri is such a pretty car, love old fords and older in cars in general many manufacturers produced gems back in the day what is built and sold today is worrying 👍

What was it like with the jaguar engine fitted? I would imagine it pulled well!
