You have to feel for J-attack and the position he was put in, as a 16 year old with the whole world mocking the Aus breaker he had to play it safe with big power that can restore their image in media. Sadly the lack of variety didn’t score well and placed him dead last. Much love to the young bboy, he took it on the chin.
He did great. This will grow from this and influence all the Breakers from the region. The internet always has something to say. It’s all just prep for the next things in life ✌️

So real. Its so ironic that it's not part of the olympics in the USA where it comes from lol
They only pick three new ones, they already picked Squash, Flag football (no brainer there the USA has been trying to push international football(american) for many years now and flag football in 4 years is an obvious step for that) and Obstacle racing (ninja warrior style) I'm actually pretty excited for that one. Paris almost had Parkour and ended up not adding it, and I think an Obstacle racing course checks at least some similar boxes. They're also bringing back Lacrosse and Cricket, which I think are both good options. Baseball and Softball, another good option for a USA olympics. After all of those maybe there's already 'enough' that LA doesn't want to bring breaking back, who knows.

LOVE LOVE LOVED both women’s & men’s break dancing at this year’s Olympics!!!!! So proud of the organizers to finally get dance into the Olympics. It’s a dam sport; get other pro athletes to try it….it’s effing HARD, requires years of training, discipline, dedication & passion like any other sport! Congrats to the medal winners and to all the participants. ❤
Lithe-ing was awesome, i enjoyed this athleticism, his flow and dynamic moveset very much. And like you have said, he is one of the youngster of this Olympic, literally has no name, no fame a couple of years ago but now put up a very good fight to Victor and the 2 Japanese bombers

Saying Dany lacked content against Victor when Vic's third round was 10 seconds long lol. Also, even tho Dany repeated elbow freezes in all his 3 rounds, Vic just repeated each of his moves 3 times in each of his rounds. I don't think 15 - 12 votes is unfair for that battle.
The Olympic committee is full of shit! 1. Why was Breaking introduced during the Paris Olympics 2. Why would they have not waited to introduce the sport during the nation of ORIGIN, LA Olympics in 2028 and 3. Why the fuck is breaking not going to be a part of the NATION OF ORIGIN Olympic games in LA! I am O-V-E-R the Olympics!
i think it fits in the olympics really well because it's got physicality that matches other well-established olympic events. floor exercise, rhythmic gymnastics and such.
the level of physical training and body control that is needed to be competitive is hardly different from existing events.
Beyond that, olympic gymanstics pulled in airflares from breaking as a high difficulty move for floor excercise, and seeing how breakers just pull out airflares and halos off the cuff while freestyling, it makes less sense for breaking NOT to be in the olympics
What about disco dancing, Tango dancing and so forth?
Do theese dance styles have battle mode and worldwide competitions like breaking?

This video is great. I'm in the group that calls Breaking Break Dancing. 😂 It should be in the Olympics because it was a street sport for people into dancing and acrobatics. That's how most sports started.
From what I've seen so far, it doesn't belong in the Olympics. It belongs on the streets.
Im a 1990's bboy & I call it break dancing. It's more the New York old heads age 40-55 who get made when people call it break dancing. They make a big deal over nothing. The new generation doesnt GAF. Also acroabtic break dancers doing gymnastics are more of a New York thing. Thats why most NY bboys lose the Redbull BC One.

Victor didn't deserve to progress into the medal rounds. His moves were average, he didn't show much variety between rounds and they were always short. Shigekix got robbed

Though I get why Breakdancing should not be an Olympic sport, what about Curling? What about Air Gun or Canoeing? Why is Dressage an Olympic Sport? Even for fan favorites, why is Table Tennis in the Olympics? There are too many sports in the Olympics. My argument in favor of Breakdancing is that inner city urban kids do not have access to traditional sports. They don't have the facilities, money, nor space to pursue sports. Breakdancing is a great avenue for self-expression and it is athletic. Still, if Breakingdancing is in the Olympics, what about Clowning, Krumping, Popping, and Jootin? Perhaps there's a larger Olympic umbrella that all street dancers can perform in? Then again, would validating street dancing in the Olympics ruin street dancing's credibility?

They should have just had a power move break dance division. That would have made more sense. The average person watching the olympics shouldn't have to watch the boring antics of Menno, Bruce Almighty, Bgirl Raygun, and creative footsy style footwork. * yawns. Straight leg flares, to airflares, to windmills, to 90's, etc. would have been more appropriate. If Bboy Punisher, Bboy Funt, C Lil, Lil G, Cico, were competing, the crowd and media would STFU & bow down.
I agree it would be more entertaining but then the Asians would always win because they are way superior and the essence of breaking will not represented
And that would be showing the world only a fraction of what breakdancing is, it’s a dance after all, not a gymnastics competition, without top rock, footwork, freezes; is just not the same, learn to appreciate variety, if everything is the same, it gets boring really fast.
