Grateful evening. I just came across your channel. My daughter is in the early stages of looking at colleges. She will be a sophomore in high school this fall. She has decided that she wants to attend an HBCU. We are from the Dallas area. How have you enjoyed JSU? I know there were some water issues, etc. Was it difficult adjusting to being in a small town from a big city?
I came during Covid so my experience is different. No one was really on campus my freshman year and I only had my teammates and i struggled to bond with them. Causing me to be a little home sick. On top of that it’s It’s not much to do in Jackson so bonding with peers is important. Overal I like Jackson state. If you’re social you with thrive. The happiest students are the most involved. If your daughter had super high standards as far as housing and outside social activity I suggest looking elsewhere. But Jsu was a cool experience for me
