maria s so you were mad at your dad because he didn’t want to drive after he’s been drinking? Lol your dad sounds like a real dick head who cares about his kids safety. If it makes you feel better I have a 80’ T top Monte Carlo my dad friend sold me, I’ve already rebuilt the motor.

A lot of fisher bodies dropped on their own due to rust. Lol . Most folks put knuckles in the front coils and air shocks in the back so larger sidewall tires could be fitted, they provided a better ride and handling due to the tires flexing in curves allowing superior grip . Don’t believe the skinny tire gimmick. They only make a car ride like a tank and break up expensive wheels for fun. Small steels with big rubber give you grip.!

You have no taste in terms of rims and tires. Your choice would probably be mags or something awful of today.

Last year one could be ordered with the 400 SBC option. GM fazed them out I believe totally by 1981. Shame . The 400 was kinda a SS option in theory. Strong engine. Especially when a riock crusher was behind one. Idk if manual was ever offered in a Monty?
