    Great video again! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, Chris! Quick question: I have been able to keep 2 of my books at 23.000 BSR and and 43.000 BSR by spending 200 USD each in its first month slowly decreasing CPC every day based on your recommendations. Based on your experience after the trial (honeymoon) period what should I expect? Will these books continue to sell or sell even more after the first month? I know it depends on reviews, keywords and a bunch of other things but I am getting nervous and not sure if I should do anything after the 1st month.

      Hi George -- I'd say it's really not about the result of your ad spend, but the organic sales you're getting. Unfortunately, I think it's impossible to say what will happen just because you have a certain BSR right now. But in that scenario, I'd want to check my CPC/ACOS/conversions and see if organic sales and rankings are appearing then go from there

    I think something that has put me off a bit is that I am going to be doing this because I have a low income and paying out for ads, especially with some of the figures mentioned in your videos, just wouldn't be viable for me - though would love to go on this creative journey. Can you do a video focusing on bare minimum spend in ads?

    • @ChrisRaydog
      @ChrisRaydog  4 месяца назад

      I was spending about 2 dollars a day on ads. It’s something you naturally work towards and nothing should stop you from uploading books without ad spend, just know it will likely decrease your chances of making sales

    Thank you for the video! I was wondering what do you think of sponsored brands campaigns (the ones that show 3 books) in terms of their influence on ranking in search results?

  • @SvenGeorgiev
    @SvenGeorgiev 4 месяца назад

    Hey Chris, you repeatedly mention that ones books should be at a certain level BEFORE investing in ads on amazon. Makes total sense to me. At what point exactly do you feel one is ready? I really dont want to experiment with ads a lot. I just dont have the money. There is never a guarantee but my books shouldnt be embaressing when I invest in ads.

    • @ChrisRaydog
      @ChrisRaydog  4 месяца назад

      Yes that is exactly the problem, I think it’s best to start off small if you’re unsure

  • @gitavares
    @gitavares 4 месяца назад

    Awesome video, Chris! As always! Do you run the ads campaign right after your book is available for sale, or do you wait a few days to start the ads? I'm asking because I always create the campaigns as soon as it's available, but they don't suggest bids based on anything, and I wanted to know if the ads cannot even take our keywords (book title, sub, etc.) correctly. I used to create manual campaigns setting the kws, but even though it makes sales, I also spend a lot of money with no profit. I found auto campaigns better, but they only start to work days after the book's launch. Do you face the same problem?

    • @ChrisRaydog
      @ChrisRaydog  4 месяца назад +1

      Thanks! And yes, I just set up a couple autos as soon as the book goes live -- and I too have noticed there isn't a suggested bid, so I tend to just start it around 75c/80c then lower that over time (usually based off of how many clicks per day I get)

    Hey Chris, I've signed up on the waitlist. What CTR would you say is acceptable? Meaning at what % of a CTR you can say "yep this cover is enough, no need to keep on tweaking it"

    • @ChrisRaydog
      @ChrisRaydog  4 месяца назад

      Hmm hard to say, some of my best campaigns are at around 0.4% - but in general if any of mine creep under the 0.3% I start to get cautious -- but really this probably depend on your campaign types etc, so I'd prefer to go by other metrics like the CPC and conversions

    Hi Chris! Can you please explain “monitor the metrics” at 13:02 ? … I’m new to kdp ads so wanted to understand it better. Thanks a ton for all your videos! 😊

    • @ChrisRaydog
      @ChrisRaydog  4 месяца назад +1

      Hi, sure, I can try explain here:
      When it comes to continuing a project, I like to see what signs there are that I'm onto a winner or a loser. This will help establish if I need to cut the ad campaigns or keep them going.
      So a few metrics I work by to assess this are:
      CPC (cost per click/how much you pay every time someone clicks your book advert) -- if this I can get the CPC down super low, then I pretty much leave the campaign on forever
      Clicks vs conversions -- this goes without saying, if you have a good conversion rate, then that can give you confidence going forwards that your book is sought after. I like to see around 1 in 10 clicks converting.

    I have 2 questions actually.
    1: Can you please make a video on book covers only targeting coloring book. I am someone who can make unique looking covers but still i am indecisive about which cover would get more clicks and so on.
    2: Can you tell me how other people stuff 1000 organic keywords and rank on them...i have checked it using helium 10 and it was in my mind.

    • @ChrisRaydog
      @ChrisRaydog  4 месяца назад +1

      Hi,
      1. Definitely
      2. They don't. Amazon is just indexing their books for more search terms as times goes by -- you can't keyword stuff 1000 keywords
