Nowadays, games that last are simply those that can be milked for money. The likes of CoDM and PG3D turned into little more than cash cows now, anything that doesn't make a bank, becomes forgotten by the devs....
I personally have never see "mobile" (more precisely: smartphone) is a good platform for gaming from the start. It's even not ergonomically designed for gaming. The problem arises because players can have much cheaper options to do in game transactions in mobile games compared to the other platforms. So they bought things, and because they bought, mobile games become more lucrative to the publishers.

Sounds like your describing a game like Forces of Freedom , from the play store , back in the day. Sadly it disappeared. What an excellent an unique game it was.
The ironic when so called "PC gamers" who have deep hatred against "Mobile gamers" while most PC games and studio are slowly steering the same path as Mobile games marketing
10:29 i disagree with this, It's not okay to release w bugs cuz that's what is currently killing console games, Console PC IPs are releasing games with bugs then slowly dropping patches and people are hating on them really bad, A mobile game tried this idea too, that game being warzone mobile, warzone mobile released with bugs and we all know how it flopped, a smaller IP doing the same would lose a player base it never had just because it wanted to get the game out there as fast as possible
Now most game studios are making their games optimized for only iOS even though the mobile gaming community is based on android. This is making mobile gamers drift away and switching to pc and console including me 😢😢
I've been gaming since the 2000s. When Nokias where black and white with snake, balloon popper and tetris. Then I remember when Java hit the scene in mid 2006 Gameloft was the king of J2ME and it felt like 16 bit games of Then modern IPs. The 2010s were some of the most solid titles in all genres of mobile gaming. Some ambitious ports and all, with little to no ads and very little microtransactions. They were so addictive that they could be beat by grinding and skill. The bad thing is modern mobile games are loaded with ads, Microtransactions, cannot be played offline. Online only and full of dumb updates. Plus once they get delisted it's gone off the server. Older games aren't compatible with new versions of Android. Emulation is the future of mobile gaming.
Big companies just want their fans money when it grows but it dies quicker Small devs try to develop to make a good and fun game even bad games are sometimes fun
By the time i just upgraded my pc and my wife pc (14600kf 7800xt 14700k 4080ti),we just switch back to pc gaming for good,we still do play mobile games like codm wz mobile but not that much anymore, specially when a lot of great pc games just keeps coming, mobile gaming still and will always be out there for sure.❤
i know its not mobile but fortnite is the perfect example of this the game literally came out of nowhere and gained huge popularity and it wasnt from a big company or anything at the time
Most mobile games now demand high specs phones, which cost mostly the same as budget gaming pc , and some already support pc platforms, so most people will choose pc over mobile.
Its not just developers, it also depends on the community. People are sometimes so addicted to only one game that they don't even try others, for example pubg and free fire, but what we get as alternative is the abomination called warzone mobile. We don't have story driven games anymore other than bright memory's 30 min demo. Everything's just off about mobile gaming now.
Honestly indie game developers need to get back in the game and not compete with games like warzone and pubg they need to go back to making their own thing, games like bullet force for an example
Now a days games are too much heavy they cannot be played in mid games now a day they focus on graphics more then optimization . I hope we will get good games like modern combat series.
The fact that when people on RUclips say mobile gaming, their only specifying FPS Mobile Games, not the remaining genres, so I believe the title should be “Mobile FPS Games are dying” not “Mobile Gaming is Dying” cus other mobile games are thriving
Hopefully a game like valorant will be a fresh air to mobile gaming, a small map and easy to understand game, not too many machanics like peeking or prowning, yes the abilities might be take a while to learn but it will be healla fun
Mobile gaming is experiencing a decline due to the unrealistic expectations of certain individuals who own older or budget-friendly iPhones and Android devices. They seem to believe that developers should effortlessly run AAA console-level games on their mid to low-end devices. Understandably, they become frustrated when their devices are unable to meet the demands of these games. In order to establish the credibility of mobile gaming with these AAA console-level games, it is imperative for developers to prioritize quality on high-end devices. It is crucial not to compromise the quality of these games just so that someone with a $200 phone can play them. Please accept my apologies, but I am eagerly awaiting the availability of games like GTA6 on mobile devices, even if only the latest and most powerful devices will be capable of running such a massive game.
I used to play clash of clans then I start playing critical ops then after that pubg mobile came out in 2017 but before that they were so many story based games on Play Store and app store like brothers in arms telltales walking dead who remember mortal Kombat games on mobile and who remember ppsspp only legends man those were the days man🥲
The difference between back then when you could have fun in a game... And now. Is microtransactions. That's why mobile gaming is dying. You can't enjoy a game without bumping into a microtransaction to either progress further or to continue playing for as long as you want. Forcing gameplay time to be as little as 10mins before you have to wait for a energy system to refill or something similar. Don't know about anyone else but those microtransactions and energy systems make me uninstall the game....not to mention ad ridden games trying to force a payment.
Hard to agree with you when services like Apple Arcade and especially Netflix gaming exist. Netflix has been bringing high quality indie titles like sonic mania, hades, gta, and deaths door to mobile devices. Apple have innovated with their iPhones and m series iPads to allow games like Resident evil 4 remake, The division, Death stranding, and soon we will have the new Assasins creed mirage on iPhone 15 and iPad M series. These are triple A experiences NATIVE to mobile devices. It’s pretty incredible. So no, I can’t agree that “mobile gaming is dying” all evidence points to the contrary and I’m excited for the future
I love how you tackled how games sit on a beta test for too long. Apex for example. Part of why its grew so big is because they intentionally kept it a secret and didn’t promote it till the release. Clearly they didn’t realize that for the mobile version.
Good thing that cloud gaming is getting better and it wont overheat the phone. Im amazed how good Geforce NOW runs on my phone. Xbox needs to catch up to that level of performance!
Well many of us still play mobile games especially in my country many people myself included play games like free fire PUBG mobile clash of calns etc. Warzone mobile or Activision to be more precise did betray the expectations of the fans(I thought the worst it could do was have a slow ads time like mw2 or at the most packet bursts out of nowhere but the mobile version exceeded my expectations in the worst possible way.
A big thing is that 90% of your mobile gamers are playing mobile games because they don’t have money to buy a console. Where now your big games dont run smoothly on that people want to have a fun experience not a buggy experience on a game thats not even made for them if we are going to spend that much money on a phone we can afford a console the companies dont know who they are making these games for!
Many games released this year like RPG games bro just make a dogsht game to scam us some are just you need to buy the extensions not to mention the microtransactions they offer as you progress and at the end of the day you stop playing because you got bored. Some of them spend millions why do we just make a business or invest that million? Yeah I agree with you mobile games are dying nowadays because it's not fair enough honestly some developers are just too greedy like NetEase wth.
i stopped playing mobile games from playstore months ago. now i just prefer to emulate or play games ported from consoles or pc. maybe some arams in wild rift if i crave some multiplayer
Me too, I already tired with current mobile games that we have, most of them are has same concept, and hyper casual that following trend. So I decided move on to ported games and emulator like retro, PS1, and PSP game. Probably I'll gonna try emulator PS2 when I get a better phone. :P
Nowadays any PUBGM videos on RUclips, they barely get 100k views within one week, yes it says a lot the state of mobile games nowadays. I think the peak of smartphone games era was around 2017-2020 when PUBGM and all the copies were still fresh. I think for now mobile gaming world really needs something that's groundbreaking
I was thinking that.. that when androids first came out it seemed like the games were much better . Now its like the same games being made iver n over with the same title..
Yeah i know right?Nekki does really create this amazing games with kinda tekken vibes, but there's still some problems with their games.SF3 has too much going on like events, faction wars, raids ugh i cant really keep up like how i used to in the past back in the day when chapter 5 still not out yet.And SF Arena (AKA SF4) does not have many characters i hoping they would release new hero for like each month or 2 theres just so many SF3 character you could potentially add like Master Okada.
They're adding new hero in two months time Making new heroes for games like this take times because they have other games in hands that they don't want them to die They have sf3 and sf2 and vector which still receives updates till this day also they also have sf2 roughlike shade's which is still very new@@PyxlkilleZ
Wow Modern Combat 4,5 , LoneWolf this clips do make me go back to my childhood what a Great memory to feel once again nowadays games maybe looks far better than those and have good things but won't give off same vibe 😢
The problem is microtransactions, battlepasses and other grindable stuff. You wont have time to play other games cuz you want to finish your battlepass to get the full benefits. Etc. in PC gaming, just enjoy a game or two then you can switch to another game easily.
More like mobile gaming is dead in the west. Its mostly people from North America and Western Europe who aren't properly exposed to successful mobile gaming in other regions. The mobile esports of the following games are extremely successful: Mobile Legends, Arena of Valor, Honor of Kings, PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, Standoff 2 (These games are basically dead in the West). Mobile scene is successful in developing regions such as South East Asia, South Asia and South America where mobile gaming is the most accessible form of gaming, where console and PC is a luxury for them. As for developed regions, mobile gaming is successful in East Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Both China and the developed regions I mentioned also have a very large population, resulting in more potential players/customers. Mobile gaming still generates more revenue than PC and console combined.
mobile gaming is huge and alive in Asia but i see mobile game studio developers are struggling with bad choices and money greed most of the time. correct me if i am wrong
I have a belief that most game are built by high expectations plus most of them don value fun alot often especially problem like microtransaction are out of control Difference that triple like ea activision and others are already horrible don expect them to act surprised especially money is there goal they will take it regardless of the risk Its the developer are the true weaknesses of the game
All you need is an xbox or ps controller or the gamesir phone controller, but that's up to you, and you can still play mobil games whenever and its your phone so like you can literally play anywhere
Mobile gaming is a complete joke biggest cash grab ever in history of gaming every single FPS mobile game you litteraly halfto gamble with hundreds of dollars just to get a cool gun out of a draw or a box or something like that. Console does not do that at all on that big of a scale to where u can spend hundreds of dollars and still might not get the gun ridiculous af 💯👍
I think there are a variety of things here. 1. IT's not Solely on the Dev's of these games, but also consumers. You mention the rise of AAA Studios making Mobile games now. Well most consumers once they start getting Fed that Juicy Steak (AAA Games) , Don't like going back to Cheese Sandwiches (Indy Games) Not all of them im aware). 2. Things are costly in today's economy. And Most Mobile games these days are geared to be profitable. If they don't make money, they are usually getting shut down after some time. 3. Maybe the biggest aspect of "Mobile" Gaming would be the introduction recently of things like the Steam Deck, ASUS ROG ALLY, MSI Claw, Lenovo Legion Go... All these essentially New Mobile PC's Getting access to to Loads of games. Lots of these new devices being released are either on par or cheaper than Most New Phones also. Not many people looking to buy a new phone to game on if they have one already, but a new device entirely...many would. 4. Many Mobile games today Have horrid Gacha systems or flat out just gear themseves towards the "Whales" out there.

10:29 i disagree with this, It's not okay to release w bugs cuz that's what is currently killing console games, Console PC IPs are releasing games with bugs then slowly dropping patches and people are hating on them really bad,
A mobile game tried this idea too, that game being warzone mobile, warzone mobile released with bugs and we all know how it flopped, a smaller IP doing the same would lose a player base it never had just because it wanted to get the game out there as fast as possible
Example: codm refusing to add new br event/map
I heard that it was stopped because they wanted to concentrate on Warzone
Codm still doing good
they focus on multplayer ..codm doesnt care about br..blackout is a surprise
@@mischiefone138It’s not the same team though, different teams made Warzone mobile
@@sw33tialucard but who finance things though??
Big companies just want their fans money when it grows but it dies quicker
Small devs try to develop to make a good and fun game even bad games are sometimes fun
The only mobile games i see being popular are some skibidi toilets game
Or some gta ripoff chinese versions

I stopped competitive/fps games years back, i more on roguelites/roguelikes games, also sandbox for more chill gameplay
Yeah, there's a lot of really good and cheap roguelike/roguelite games on pc. Some are even ported to phones now.
Gaming isn’t dead.. People just keep realizing life ain’t a game.
That's why I don't invest in gacha games, free to play games or paid to win games. I only play premium games where I can play it as long as I want.
Bro is spitting facts it feels every mobile game is dying it’s just toxicity that is prevailing .
I don't do a lot of mobile games nowadays cause there's just too much ads and microtransactions. Honestly really kills my mood.
Good thing that cloud gaming is getting better and it wont overheat the phone. Im amazed how good Geforce NOW runs on my phone. Xbox needs to catch up to that level of performance!
Sad times for mobile gaming
dang brother nobody could find your comment, just wanted to say that ur one of the best farlight84 players ever
Handheld PC gaming is The Future that's why I'm Buying Lenovo Legion Go!
As soon as I saw the title I already agreed because I thought i was the only one who was thinking mobile games are dying
Its true tho all the good games are mostly gone now all we have are low quality cash grabs and simular games
Mobile games are dying like as you are aging bro 😢
Alot of facts and honest I like that
i stopped playing mobile games from playstore months ago. now i just prefer to emulate or play games ported from consoles or pc. maybe some arams in wild rift if i crave some multiplayer
Online games are destroying mobile games!
best examples are rainbow mobile and valorant mobile soo much long time to even release it and the hype died
7:50 whats the name of the game in the background?
More survival or storyline based games are needed
Fr
I don’t think that makes them a lot of money . Specially most mobile games are free
I was thinking that.. that when androids first came out it seemed like the games were much better . Now its like the same games being made iver n over with the same title..
I personally play supercell games, so I think the opposite. (Mostly play brawl stars which has been peaking lately) and supercell has fun mobile games
Can you talk about " shadow fight " plz i feel like no one talks about it, and it's a great game
They're adding new hero in two months time
Making new heroes for games like this take times because they have other games in hands that they don't want them to die
They have sf3 and sf2 and vector which still receives updates till this day also they also have sf2 roughlike shade's which is still very new@@PyxlkilleZ
Pay to win or don't pay to win 10years later
Wow Modern Combat 4,5 , LoneWolf this clips do make me go back to my childhood what a Great memory to feel once again nowadays games maybe looks far better than those and have good things but won't give off same vibe 😢
There were big companies in mobile before screen touch appeared
The problem is microtransactions, battlepasses and other grindable stuff. You wont have time to play other games cuz you want to finish your battlepass to get the full benefits. Etc. in PC gaming, just enjoy a game or two then you can switch to another game easily.
Basically the fear of missing out. Updates are good but too much update is bad as well.
Blood strik is getting more people
Mobile gaming is the next generation of gaming and we're living it
1cestream is doing ok coz arena breakout is still fun
17:07 what PC games are you referring to here?
Yeah I hope Indie devs come back
Not to mention my phone barely heats up when im playing destiny with the graphics at max and that you can use ray tracing
It would be nice if old premium mobile games could be updated (offically) to run on recent versions of Andriod & iOS
14:07 game name
mobile gaming is huge and alive in Asia but i see mobile game studio developers are struggling with bad choices and money greed most of the time. correct me if i am wrong
I have a belief that most game are built by high expectations plus most of them don value fun alot often especially problem like microtransaction are out of control
Difference that triple like ea activision and others are already horrible don expect them to act surprised especially money is there goal they will take it regardless of the risk
Its the developer are the true weaknesses of the game
i think we need more story game than online game and you can play it co op too if you want to
A more appropriate title is "Shooters in Mobile Gaming is dead in the west."
non-shooter mobile games here in Asia is booming.
All you need is an xbox or ps controller or the gamesir phone controller, but that's up to you, and you can still play mobil games whenever and its your phone so like you can literally play anywhere
Video cards was a big one too. Now we only have 2 choices lol
Nova 3 will forever be my favourite mobile game ever. Modern kombat 4 is second.
I Agree in most part what you said .. I just sent you an email so you can know one more indie mobile game from us.
5:53 what game is this in the background?

The reason mobile game is dying is because of oversaturation of battle royale and generic military shooter

Don't forgot about ARK: Survival Evolve that the first triple A games on Mobile Port, not Ersion but port.
17:08 on PC? What games are you talking about?
Now every big company trying to take our money for a game which doesn't have soul
