Legendary gig the original NMA line up were an absolute powerhouse. The most charismatic bassist ever, awesome musicianship! And the lyrics are spot on, relevant today 36 years later...
Can't understand why these were omitted from the original VHS release! As someone who picked up a bass guitar after hearing Stuart Morrow's playing, it's fascinating to see that the weird sustained sound at the start and end of Liberal Education was played on the bass. Always assumed it was Justin playing it with a gadget called an Ebow.
yes but there's a but too it. Loong time ago. But now I listen once more and watch my son opposite me. Fuckfuckfuck! I f..g did not... tear the old stuff down, seek insights, tried and try to free myself from ....just to repeat that shit as a father. How the f. can I teach my kid black and white pov values.. just because they 're kids?? He right maybe but at the same time, are we damnned to generational conflicts on an on and on. Shi-te! Damm
I pity the fans who never got to see this classic lineup live. And what a sad waste of perhaps the best British bass player of the last 40 years, he was made for this band certainly, but after he left I could never understand why he wasn't up there as in demand as Pino Palladino.

it was omitted because it was condemnation against the commie fucks who stand behind 'a liberal education' wake up to the big picture, Chris.
Relevant lyrics for sure
