      With our western mindset we will not be able to survive in those conditions for even a week either physically or psychologically. Everyone saying how amazing, well, talking about their society they're known to be very patriarchal and tribal. Men are still very authoritative towards women, kids have to bend to their parents in a submissive way, and their life is only based on work. We're too used to our freedom at the point to despise it, that's the problem.

There are 2 things makes people love Mongolia. 1 is the open space and nature, the second is the hospitable nomadic community. I love my country. Why did so many people comment about groom and bribe's facial expression. Wedding ceremony is different from your culture and that is all. Mongols assume the wedding is neutral thing. Dont be too happy, you may end up sobbing, dont be too sad, you may have a blessed partner in your life. That is why couple display neutral expression. As someone comments here like forced marriage, is he/she okay?

      I've read same thing in many south asian wedding video. Western always keep asking if marriage is forced. They always think that all culture is like them or everyone should follow their way of things. In many Asina culture, laughing in your own wedding is not appreciated. We like to keep our face natural, neither sad nor too much happy. Even in some culture, if bride do not cry during wedding,people think she is happy to leave her parents house and childhood surrounding. Which make her family and friends sad, as they think it is a sign of she was not happy with her family.

      Your dream will come true, one day in distant future but under one leadership. As long as governments exist there will never be unity among men because governments need crisis and wars to justify their existence. So we call them "necessary evil". Culturally almost every nation has the same aspiration to live in peace and raise their family.

    I also love how quickly the family and friends decorated the ger given to the newly wed. They knew exactly what to put and where to put all those stuffs and it quickly transformed into a very warm home for the newly wed.

    I love how a mother can freely breastfeed their children in front of a large group of people without even needing to hide or cover herself, we call this nomadic tribes as “primative, uneducated,” while women can’t even do this simple and crucial actions in our western cultures which is considered as “developed civilizations”

    • @idylledoll
      @idylledoll 5 лет назад +41

      It’s not so cut and dry. Breasts in western society are mostly seen as sexual as media and our society has hyper sexualised every part of a woman’s body and therefore it creates controversy whereas in other societies men don’t view them that way so it’s not seen the same and accepted as for what it is just breastfeeding.

      The ideology is to never take anything for granted and therefore not to show extreme joy because the belief someone can put a curse on you through jealousy. It is quite often to call new born kids ugly duckling so that they grow up to be beautiful and also to give someone name such as No Name (literal translation) to protect the baby from bad omens if previously the parents had miscarriages. The list can go on and lot of these superstition and ideology comes from Shamanism and Buddhism.
