Man i love 8.ish br for the soviets you can have some cool lineups, my most play br by far. Cant wait to put this obj 140 in my 8.7 lineup alongside the am1 obj435 bmp1 and mig17.
I wouldn’t buy it the obj 430 is a similar vehicle and has the same gun so you get the same pen but we just have to wait and see if it gets added to the game.

1. This tank doesn't have a rangefinder. It's 1954 prototype, lazers wasn't a thing back then and you can see that there's nothing which looks like an optical rangefinder on that tank. In fact, that tank have modelled standard soviet tank sight TSh-2. 2. Ammunition inside fuel tanks doesn't act the same as wet ammo stowage. Actually an opposite of that. Soviet tanks had that feature not for survivability, but just because there's literally nowhere else to put ammo, there was no space for it, that's why they combined ammo rack with fuel tank. Fuel tanks of T-54/55 itself are made just of a thin sheet metal, absolutely not protected from anything. Any gamage to it will make fuel burst inside crew compartment and probably cause fire, because right next to it a giant battery is located. And next to the battery - compressed air receivers (for turning engine on in case of battery dies)
Aahhh yes speculation about fuel tank ammo storage that directly contradicts both western and soviet sources. But I suppose it sounds good on your head. Diesel fuels, especially military diesel, will not burn readily unless they have the right airfuel mixture and pressure.
@matthiuskoenig3378 1. There's no such thing as "military diesel", it's a regular diesel. 2. Western tanks have isolated fuel tanks from crew compartment. 3. Don't you saw any combat footages from the actual war? If one regular HE handgrenade dropped from the drone inside driver's hatch cause fire that completely destroys whole tank, i believe tank rounds will do absolutely the same thing. Yes, diesel fuel needs a pressure to burn. Guess what's happens when something explode inside the tank. And if tank round travelling at speed higher than 1000 m/s penetrates fuel tanks it also causes pressure to raise pretty much high.
@@jb7483 T-54 never had any rangefinders, it's T-55A which got modified with KTD-1 lazer rangefinder since 1974. Object-140 also didn't had rangefinder. Lazers wasn't even a thing in 1954 and that tank doesn't have mountings for an optical rangefinder also. It have just a regular tank sight literally the same as T-34-85, T-44 and T-54.
My brother in Christ, Germany has a lot of goofy and good tanks Kv1c, Porsche tiger 1, pz2h, turm 3 and tam 2IP, there’s also brumbar, VFW and technically premium tiger 2 and 2a4 not exactly fun but consistent

290mm of pen on 100 mm APCBC is crazy good. Definetly solid premium
A good premium, but honestly, it is only 0.3 lower than the T-55AM-1, which is a super strong premium.
So get both, got it
Another russian premium amazing
it's not that good
The side armour is similar to the IS-3, being very angled on the area closer to the turret
Man, object 277 when?
Would love to see the 278 and 770 as well.
@@ej1025 and 187
I was really hoping this wouldve been in the tech tree
Super excited for this.
it's gonna be sent in 9.0 premium tanks black hole

Why would you get this over the AM1? Or if you already have the Object 435?

@@Chastity_Belt ramblings of sour grapes, Hate to see it.
Later iterations of the T-54 and even this had the "NEWA" range finger, source is Jane's Defense Armor. So you are part correct.

APHE should be very good on this thing, plenty of things with bad armor.
