      Btw.the RT2 picks well the messenger notifications, as well as any other messages from the social apps (as long as you got the individual notifications "allowed" within the 'notifications settings' in your phone). Pls be aware, you won't be able to reply to any messages, just read them.

    Hello...amazing review!
    I have some questions:
    1.Does the watch works (to know the distance when we run) if it's connected to phone, but the phone isn't connected to the wifi?
    2.Can i "find my phone" or count steps if the watch is not connected to the phone?
    3.Does it consume too much battery of the phone when the watch is connected to the phone?
    Thanks!!

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  Год назад +1

      hi, thanks for your feedback. In regards to your questions -
      1. technically, it will record the distance and route (gps) when you start the exercise from the app. You dont need wifi for this, it takes the geoposition data. If you don't use the gps and you'd start the exercise from the watch - you also dont need wifi - as long as the watch is paired/connected with your phone via bluetooth, all the data will be saved within the app. Hope it makes sense?
      2. 'find my phone' requires bt connection (and possibly the app running in the background), otherwise it won't work. The steps will be counted if the watch isnt connected via bluetooth with your phone (standalone mode). However, the steps and other sports/health measurements will be reset daily, usually at midnight, when not connected with the phone and sync with the app before midnight.
      3. constant connection to the phone consumes battery faster (around 3x faster comparing to 'standalone' mode , when its being unconnected). lets say, having your watch constantly connected with the phone - the battery will last around a week. if it runs without being connected with the phone - the battery will last you 3 weeks, sometimes even longer - that depends on the brightness of the display, how often you'd use the screen and if there's 24/h heart rate measuring turned on. All these features draining the battery. hope it makes sense?
      kind regards,
      Adam

    Hi, I love your reviews!!
    One question here, does RT2 connectable with Google Fits app?

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  2 года назад +1

      thank you, I appreciate it!
      btw. No, RT2 can't be directly paired with Google Fit I'm afraid. RT2 hasn't got WearOS, so it won't establish the direct connection,
      However, Haylou companion app shares its stats data collected with RT2 with Health app (iPhone/iOS) - these data being shared with GoogleFit. Effectively, you can collect 'heart points', meet your steps 'weekly targets' etc. That's how it works on my iPhone. Hope it makes sense.
      Cheers:)

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  Год назад

      hi. you may try to double check the personal details within the app's personal profile (height, age, etc), the lenght of the stride is being calculated/approximated using these details.
      Little tip - if you got undercount, try to add a few cm/inch to your height - and if you got overcount of the steps, take away a few cm/inch of your height. It's the only way to 'finetune' the approximation algorithms in the device. Hope it makes sense. Let me know of the outcome. cheers.

      Hi Elza,
      Of course you can have your headphones and watch connected simultaneously to your phone. I think the Bluetooth 5.0 allows to connect up to 7 devices at the same time.
      Headphones and watch definitely wouldn’t interfere with each other - and will work as normal.

      Hi. Thanks for your comment, much appreciated 👍🏻
      As for the choice between the rt2 and Mibro a1…- personally, I would prefer the physical appearance of the a1.
      As for the functionality and overall performance, both watches are very comparable. I would still choose the Mibro over the rt2.
      Off-topic: At the moment I’m wearing the amazfit Bip 3 pro, and it overtakes both, haylou and Mibro in terms of performance, screen quality and app, and still oscillating in the budget-friendly areas.

      Since you already has both in your hand, what do you think? Still A1 is better in real life use or you have another explanation? Thanks

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  Год назад

      It looks like you got your own answer already - better screen resolution and a bigger battery in RT2 - these are solid points and I won't argue here, you've already made up your mind around the RT2.
      Both of these watches are similar, as both are made by sub-brands of xiaomi - and both are equally reliable - but for me personally - I would prefer that interesting and pretty unique design of A1 over the classic look of RT2, which looks like several other rounded smartwatches. I'm aware, that the A1 is not in everyone's taste.
      LEt me know which one did you pick at the end (I'd guess, you'll go for RT2)

      Sorry if I talk (or type) to much, lol..
      I do like doing some "deep" research before buying someting and now it has equal comparison. So I need 2nd opinion from the "master" who already has both of them..
      Now I got new POI, RT2 = Classic look and A1 = Unique look.

      @FamilyPopTV  Год назад

      hi. I love the display of RS4. I like the shape of RT2 (personally, I prefer round watches).
      So it's a tough choice, but RS4 makes more sense, as its amoled display its really sharp and visible outdoors, even in the sun - as well as this technology effectively consumes less power so the battery will last longer.
      btw. my alternative choice would be - amazfit GTR2e - or GTR3 (round watch with amoled display).

    Should I buy amazfit t Rex or haylou rt2?

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  2 года назад +1

      These are two totally different watches;
      I haven’t had a chance to own t rex, however:
      - it’s got gps on board (rt2 doesn’t), this obviously makes rt2 battery going longer on a single charge than t rex,
      - t rex has rugged design, rt2 doesn’t,
      - t rex has amoled screen, rt2 has tft lcd screen (as you know, tft isn’t as nice as amoled),
      - t rex is like a brick on your wrist, rt2 is sleek so then more comfy to wear.
      - price- rt2 is almost half the price of t rex.
      My advice- ideally, I would own both..
      Why?-because t rex seem more advanced and has better screen than rt2, however, that obvious rugged design doesn’t go well with office outfit, rt2 looks more elegant and I’m happy with its sports/health measuring.

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  2 года назад +1

      More fair comparison - t rex- vs - gtr2e (both watches having smoked displays, gps, both are in the same price range), but gtr2e looks more elegant on wrist - and this would be my choice.

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  2 года назад

      Hi. Yea it does. The watch is independent from the phone and counts steps, measure heart rate, etc without being connected to the phone. So you’re fine here.
      However, if you want to have all your daily steps and health activities recorded in the app/phone - the watch has to be synced. Watch works as an external health sensor basically.

    Nice work there brother.
    But which is better rt2, mi band 6 or Huawei band 6?

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  2 года назад

      Thanks!
      The main difference - the Rt2 is a watch, so it has a nice, big round screen, - the other two are sports bands, so the screens are significantly smaller (though mi band 6 has amoled screen, the other two have IPS/LCD screens.
      In terms of accuracy, I’d say mi band 6 would be slightly better than rt2. I haven’t had a chance to check the huawei, but I reckon it’s comparable with mi band 6 in terms of accuracy.
      for me personally, rt2 would be the only choice, as it’s pretty accurate, looks good on the wrist, I can customise it by replacing the straps, and it goes well with office outfit as well as sport outfit.
      Let me know, what was your choice. Have a great day 👍🏻

      @@FamilyPopTV how about the rt2 vs the mibro x1 brother?

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  2 года назад +1

      Mibro x1 is kind of rugged smartwatch, so not directly comparable with rt2.
      I can’t confirm it’s accuracy as never owned it.
      “Mibro lite” looks very close to rt2, BUT has an upgraded amoled screen, better than the IPS LCD used in rt2.
      Btw. Mibro, Haylou, xiaomi, and recently Suunto - all these brands are the subsidiaries of Dongguan Liesheng Electronics, so I would expect good quality smartwatches from all these brands.
      If you’d have a chance to buy rt2, I would certainly recommend it. It’s a great all-rounder, and the price is fine.
      I’ll test and review similar looking watch, called “SoundPEATS Watch 2” by the end of April, also got Mibro Lite scheduled shortly after.

    Haylou gs or haylou rt2 is best?

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  Год назад +1

      Certainly RT2. Haylou GS is not that good, I got it right now for testing and I’m disappointed.
      Haylou simply rebranded another watch - “soundpeats watch 2” and didn’t even bothered to change or improve anything, just rebranded it as Haylou GS….
      Haylou deserves to be slagged off for this cheap move.

      N what about mibro light , if you suggest me mibro or haylou rt 2 which one is good

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  Год назад +1

      This is tricky, I don’t know much about Mibro lite (I only tested Mibro A1), however if Mibro lite is comparable in terms of functionality with the A1 but added amoled display - then it may be very considerable option.
      Make sure it has amoled display indeed, and you’ll have an easy choice.
      Haylou rt2 looks good, but it has traditional lcd display.
      Let me know which one you E decided to get. I’m sure, whichever you’ll pick you’ll enjoy it.
      (Keep in mind, haylou ans Mibro are both part of Xiaomi family, and that speaks for itself).

      Similar watches you may want to check out and consider getting - the latest Haylou GS (I’m wearing it now and testing) - or Xiaomi Mibro A1 (this is my personal “budget” favourite, and I’ve just reviewed this while being in Italy:)))

Only thing I was a bit off was that u can't really pick up phone calls but I don't think is a bug deal. I hope u had a great time here in Italy! The food is amazing 😄😂
