Beautiful 1st Gen Riviera. The only place that you will see "Buick" on here, is on the radio. I don't believe that "Buick" is anywhere else in the interior or the exterior. That is because there was debate as to whether this was going to be a "Cadillac LaSalle". But that decision was nixed and the rest as they say, is part of Buick history. These are some of my favorite vehicles, the design is timeless!
Timeless styling. For me the American automobiles of the 60’s are the nicest. Look at the Riv, Toronado, Eldorado, nuff said. The 445 was the torque btw. White with black guts or reversed is the nicest imo.
Point of interest. You call it a 445. That is the torque rating for a 401 cubic inch engine. The engine installed is a Wildcat. The Super Wildcat is the dual quad engine, which I don't think this is. Also I think there's is a bad drive gear on the passenger vent window. I replaced the ones on my 64 which formerly needed the "assist" to get them started on their activation. The new gears are bronze (same as like-year Cadillac) The lovely thing about these cars is that the door SKINS are removable so you can easily access everything from the outside. You CANNOT service anything from there inside. I made a RUclips video on how to diagnose and replaced the vent gear. Suffer through it for some insight. GLWTA!!
@@reallyaintbuynit2018 Hey, here is an idea, watch all the videos I have posted on this car and you will CLEARLY see that the engine was swapped. And you do realize the carb and intake is not what makes the engine. Bottom end is the SUPER WILDCAT 465.
Beautiful. Fully equipped. An unmistakable icon of American auto excellence.
You are correct!!
love the interior! another great car and video.
Thanks!

What a ride and performing car.Until someone has driven one, they can't imagine what a car this is!
Super sporty and tight!

It now has a Super Wildcat 465 V8!!! 425 Cubic inches!
Is it front wheel drive
Riviera was rear wheel drive until 1979’
Rear wheel!
386hp? Nope. 445 was a 401ci
Yeah, you should realize this has the Super Wildcat 465 Engine in it.
@@christianbugatticg Where is the dual quads? Just because an air cleaner has a decal on it doesn't make it so.
