Something ive found that i really enjoy in asmr "massages" which helps sell the placebo to me is when the ASMRist demonstrates what they are doing on their own bodies before touching the camera! Usually most effective with face massage asmr tho

I know this is largely visual asmr but I'm also finding this super nice as a sort of informal body scan type meditation, instead of getting in my head about whether I'm being Appropriately Mindful Of The Present Moment it's sort of letting me focus on existing and imagined sensations ("I'm picking up your left hand" etc, the water misting) with a chill goofy vibe
