कलपूटु मवेशी दौड़ यह दौड़ प्रतिवर्ष दिसंबर से जनवरी के बीच आयोजित की जाती है। इसका अयोजन कैटल रस क्लब ऑफ इंडिया द्वारा किया जाता है। यह दौड़ उस समय होती है जिस समय किसान कम व्यस्त होते हैं। मवेशियों के लगभग 120 जोड़े इसमें भाग लेते हैं। पालक्काड़ ऐसा एकमात्र स्थान है जहां बैलगाड़ी दौड़ भी होती है। इन दौड़ों को देखने के लिए हर साल करीब 50000 लोग यहां आते हैं।
