I hope Mohiniyattm will surely brighten the stage besides Kathak & Bharatanatyam. Though Vartika,Sanchit are very talented,they sometimes do same steps and hip movement. I m a kathak dancer myself, and feel ashamed and saddened to see how classical forms of pure dancing are polluted by people who claim to dance kathak, bharatnatyam, mohiniattam, odisi or any dance form as such.... And it's also a shame that people love such distorted forms and they are only promoted in such reality shows just for glamour content. Have you even seen any dance reality, in any language, across the nation, where a classical or folk dancer has won the championship ? No, because it's not glamorous and eye-catching enough for the majority. It's high time to promote our indian classical and folk dances, and encourage the young generation to watch and learn.

I don't have any idea how authentic it was but it was so beautiful to watch 🥰 i think if shweta tries all the dance forms from around India, she can easily have choreography of worth 2 seasons. Its very refreshing and soothing to the eyes after all the western forms. And shweta did score a 💎 who is called pratiti. Hope they can keep up this awesomeness till the end 🥰
Did anyone notice....Terence ofc was left teary eyed....but Vartika also got emotional....I am sure she is proud of swetha....they are same age i think...but vartika was already a guru in ibd...and seeing her contestant become a guru and giving such amazing performances....I was left in tears....this duo deserves to win...this is pure dancing and pratiti is one in a million

Mohinitattam never goes beyond speed “madhyama” (a rule). That is one of the reasons why it is less popular among general public. Most people enjoy fast dance movements. No wonder why so many appreciations! These girls have used some “adavus” from mohiniyttam but, unless you perform it in mohiniyattam syle, it is something else.

It is not odissi which is a respected dance form as was made to invoke gods. to break it's rule is not a bad thing also as it also follows natyashastra it was made by women who went through what men want for example no raudram expression in it ,navarasas only shringaram ,lasyam,hasyam only . Break the rule and it is in madyama speed we use chadamelam in mohiniyatum in madhuama speed and anklets go by that . She was not not doing bharathanatyam.

The little girl performed extremely well considering she isn't trained in that form. The older guru did a fantastic job teaching it and a superb job performing it. I never imagined Mohiniaatam dance in such a fast paced song but these guys created something so ancient yet so modern.
This performance is too good " BUT" judge's' wah wah' ',arrrehh' etc between the performance is just ruining the whole mood of such extraordinary performance. Please sonytv tell your judges to keep quiet between the performance and talk after the performance so that we the audience can actually enjoy both.
Very true and the cameraman always missing the most beautiful part showing the judges instead. Quite stupid way of doing. May be they dont know there are ways to do that better.

It doesn't mean that it has to be Mohiniyattam just because it has a costume and mudras. Mohiniyattam is full of relaxed movements. It has been lost in many places here.
