Can't believe Canon removed the recording limits in the R3, but not the R5 in either standard 4K or even 1080p. Please give us a firmware update for those who shoot longer in standard 4K/1080p so I don't always have to rely on my Ninja V!
The1DX M3 does 6K RAW internal ( well 5.7k ) but the rolling shutter performance on it is bad - like 5D M2 bad. I still enjoy mine as a B-cam to my RED Komodo but this R3 looks pretty amazing - especially if Canon improved RS performance…
Looks like a really nice camera.; however, I’m sticking with my R5. The 45 mpxls vs. 24 is a deal breaker for me. Love my R5! Then again, I don’t shoot speeding bullets coming straight at my face. But I can see the appeal of the R3 to those who are speed demons. 30fps is pretty cool. But 45 mpxls is way more cool.
As expected 24MP X 30fps electronic and 12fpsmechanical with AF+AE 12bit 6k 24p internal RAW recording is huge. Is there any crop ? Now its time to speculate how nikon Z9 is going to compete
The 24MP full-frame sensor offers high-res 6K raw 12-bit internal recording and uncropped 4K 120p 10-bit recording with Canon Log 3. We will have to wait and see until we have had some hands-on time with the, yet to ship, Nikon Z9. >Mark
Unfortunately, as the final version of the Canon EOS R3 Mirrorless Digital Camera has not yet begun to ship, and as I have not yet seen any comprehensive reviews on the sensor performance, at this time, we do not have a dynamic range measurement for this camera.
@@BandH Thank you so much. That is the reason no one talks about it. But again I believe the companies like canon and sony are derived by profit, they don't care about the high-quality photography art. I'm curious to learn more about how the focusing modes are different compared to the R5. There was a good demo of how the eye tracking works, but what if you had wanted to focus on the football instead of the person behind? Has the ability to set the initial focus point for tracking been entirely removed in the R3?
@@sampotter333 I’ve had my R3 for a few months now and love it. I shoot a lot of sports so don’t use the eye tracking often, and almost never use the eye control AF when shooting sports. It’s great that you can turn those on and off, and same goes for the human, animal, and vehicle tracking

$10,000 vlogging camera. I am tempted. Seriously, too many gadgets, it's getting ridiculous. If anyone can put up with mft, the Em1mk3 is a fraction of that price, less bulky and has some modern features I would actually use for the purposes of considered photography. Or bring back a great photo centric camera with a great sensor and no gadgets at all, manual everything. Maybe LADA can make one. This reminds me of years ago when I wanted to buy a simple green sweater. Turns out there were none. Sweaters with all kinds of difficult (to the eye) designs, but nothing in only green. You asked for my 5 cents and there it is. PS: Of the R3 can also make sandwiches and do the dishes afterwards, I may change my opinion.
Probably will cost more than 2 cars. And, probably, Sony's prices will go down. Cause I want a Sony, good enough for what I need. Thanks, Canon! Keep going.

consider the size of the R3 vs R5 physics still applies more room to remove heat in the R3
Love that his shirt reps my childhood/current neighborhood. Great info.
Wow, finally they're doing 6k RAW. Cool. This would make a great B-camera for C500 Mk II.

Canon: There is no record limit
Also Canon: You can only shoot 60 minutes due to overheat
😂
it says 60+ so it would probably depend on the temp except the 6k raw which they seem to say has a hard lmit but who knows until they try it.
Other reviewers did test it and recorded up to 2hours without overheating
@@RayValdezPhotography Sony says the same thing about 60 FPS on the A7S III and A1

Although the dynamic range is greater in the EOS R3, an exact number of stops has not been published.

Now I've been waiting for this. I wanted to know more about this new camera. The descriptions of it sound incredibly awesome. I'm impressed.
Can we see the sample photos from this video?
Canon delivered more than I thought
For a insane over priced price.
6000$ camera and it has a micro hdmi port 🤯
Can you turn off the noise from that 30 frames per second under electronic shutter?
This shutter firing noise is artificial. There are camera settings that will completely silence this feature. >Mark

How about FULLHD format? Has this camera included this option?
The Canon EOS R3 is capable of shooting Full HD video.
