I'm 6 months post op and I still tape every night and leave it on whilst I sleep. When I wake up my nose looks much nicer, it's more slim. It stays like this for maybe a few hours.
My question - Is the appearance of my nose after I remove the tape a sign of what my nose will look like when it is fully healed?

I would honestly think that's fair. I have to blow my nose. It fills up with snot. What else am I supposed to do?
