I was on a vacation during this and I came back to my hotel room to find leafy and firey being devoured by the Ukrainian flag (shortly after I posted it on r/battlefordreamisland saying they died together
As a contributor for the TWOW community segments, I'd like to thank everyone as our canvas went to the endgame, let alone Cary noticed it. It goes to show that the community after all the years is thriving and alive! Glad to thank everyone in r/place for representing the communities they fully support with! Also for the structures we made I will give a brief summary: The "TWOW Heads" are confirmed by us in which they are called as "robors" which the canvas shows is a Minecraft head skin from a TWOWer, valuminumbandit in which is a plot point for TWOWSMP to put it simply. Next, the Rainbow TWOW segment shows two booksonas, the purple-rainbow booksona is Purplegaze who is a prominent figure in the TWOW Community and the second which separates the TWOW banner and the purple-rainbow booksona is tr_ in which is an inside joke from the community where it shows that his booksona is tall. The last segment, Yellow TWOW is self-explanatory which shows, yellow cary, book and Purplegaze in the canvas where the canvas is maintained until the end. There are also some structures that are not mentioned such as robors being maintained in a different coordinate, and neonc (which yes is an inside joke) had some progress but it was never finished. Hope to know some of these!!!
It's so fun to relive the harrowing journey that was fighting for OSC rep in r/place. I'm so happy with the amount we got. It was super fun, here's hoping for a third iteration of r/place where we can show ourselves even more!
IDK why, but I'm crying knowing that BFDI community had grown so big.. So beautiful.. I thought there were only around 70 people in the community.. Turns out there are around HUNDREDS or MILLIONS!! I'm so proud to be a part of this community!
this was so fun to watch! I remember wrestling every 5 minutes exactly with another user towards the VERY end (I was trying to keep tiny Four’s arm pixels the right color) and seeing that brief breath in time immortalized here was very very fun lol!! I hope they’re having a great day wherever they are, this community is so powerful and I hope we can all participate in another r/place someday if it ever comes back! :D

It was a fun and exciting experience that brought the community together. My favorite moment was when we defended Leafy from the british attacks, we could've keep going and succesfully claim the zone but Hasan was going to raid anyways.

As a staunch participnt of the event, I think this was the best event ever. BFDI was represented on the canvas and it looks great. i was the main organizer for the markers, it was incredible seeing all of the effort that was put into this. its especially great seeing as how the community of people who made the marker were way smaller than the rest of the r/place bfdi drawings and still managed to be a part of history!
The twins have come SO far, from little comics with random characters inspired by TDI to being in one of the LARGEST events that have ever happened in 2022! Good job Cary and Michael! :D

I suspect another r/place will come in 2027, as the first was in 2017. 5 years later, it came in 2022, so who knows?
