It put me in the right direction but the hooo lock doesn’t tighten or loosen as you turn the dial luckily mine got rest to 1-0-0 so it only took a couple mins but if you lock one of these hook locks in the wrong comber your s.o.l and gonna have to buy a new one
Sounds like the shackle was pushed down outside the hole and the wheels turned. If the wheels haven't turn too much then you could pull up on the shackle (as if you're trying to open it) with constant tension and tweak the wheels a bit (one number or so back & forth on each wheel) and see if the shackle pops up. If that doesn't work, you'll have to decode it as if the shackle was in the hole, and use a different method depending on the type of lock. ... eg the Indirect method: ruclips.net/video/ufPQ0HmUsqk/видео.html or ruclips.net/video/QUWe7MDptmU/видео.html ... or if it's only a 3-wheel lock you could try: ruclips.net/video/QUWe7MDptmU/видео.html ... if that doesn't work then let me know and I can recommend some more methods
Hello and thank you for great demonstration. It fixed one of the locks but the other one I have is open and the code is scrambled. This one have a tap to get in, then you have to press a double button on each side and to change combination you have to turn the cap at the end of the combination. Its an Trelock SK 415 CODE 180/15 ZK 234. I remember that the code was set and the lock was open in the drawer but for some reason it came undone. Do you have any tips?
Great that it fixed one of your locks! I looked at pictures of the Trelock SK 415 CODE 180/15 ZK 234 and yea I don't think the methods in this video will help. It's difficult for me to know without the lock in front of me. Question: for operating this lock normally, does it work like this? ... when the correct combination is entered, do you press the buttons all the way down and it should open? ... and without the correct combination entered, the buttons don't go all the way down? If that's the case, when you put constant tension on the lock by pressing down on the buttons, does it tighten up the wheels when you turn them (while pressing the buttons) as opposed to not constantly pressing the buttons? It probably won't, in which case the only other thing I could suggest is to try the "Probing" method, which is this: ruclips.net/video/NVucdFUi1cw/видео.html and I do it in one of my videos here: ruclips.net/video/EiiXEShLOdU/видео.html and I explain it more here: ruclips.net/video/PzXervfKJKQ/видео.html If that doesn't work then you might have to manually try all the combinations: 0-0-0-0 0-0-0-1 0-0-0-1 ... all the way to 9-9-9-9, but it'll take a loooong time. Also, it *might* be possible to press the two buttons down and keep them down, and just turn the wheels - it's a faster way to test each number, *but* note with some locks, if the buttons are pressed down and you move to the correct number the lock may not open (unless you let go & press again). I'm guessing it won't be like that for your lock though, so I think you might be able to go through all the numbers using that method (of keeping the buttons firmly pressed down all the time as your turning the wheels) as it'll be faster (but still slow) and if you've gone through all the numbers and it doesn't open then you can try the slow way (ie 0000, press, 0001, press, 0002, press etc). In saying all this, I have a combination lock (different make & model) where I have to press a button to open it, and I've figured out how to decode it. It method *might* also work for yours. It'll be my next video. I'll let you know when it's up (it'll be in a day or so).
I did a video (my latest video) but I don't think it can be done in reverse if it's stuck open. It might work (by tensioning the lock by constantly pushing the lock closed) but the particular lock stops the dials from turning when open, so it can never be stuck open. How are you getting on with trying all the combinations?
Ahhh sorry I gave you the same video. If you turn the wheel closest to the opening, trying each number one by one, then one of the numbers should allow it to enter?

What do you do then, if the Padlock (almost the same as in your Video!) is stuck to the Side? Stuck in the Close-Position but i can't move it over the Entry-Hole. 😒 How do you solve something like that?
That situation usually means the wheels have to show the correct combination before you can lift the shackle up more, so you can move it over the hole and close it. You will have to decode the lock by pull up on the shackle.

If it was stuck open then it's easy to decode it was closing it. It's much harder to decode from a locked position. If you followed the method in this video and closed it, and if it's not opening, then it might be out by just a few numbers. If you haven't turned the dials since then, then you might be close, and you should try some numbers either side. It should still work. If it's a bike lock with wheels and it's in an open state, it should work easily as in the video. Do you wheels turn easily? Or is it corroded? Does jiggling it while trying to insert it work (when turning the wheels)? Some plastic-friendly lube may help if it's a bit corroded, or if it's muddy maybe soaking it would help. Also, I'm confused ... if the lock is on the bike but open, can't you take the lock off the bike? Or are you saying that it's partially stuck open? If that's the case, you'll have to *decode* the wheels that are locking it until the lock fulling opens. Those wheels will be closest to the opening. After that, do as in the video to lock it with the correct combination code. Good luck!
i have a dudley combination lock that is stuck open, do you have any tips for fixing that? i bought it last month and only used it less than 10 times but it got stuck open after i opened it the other day
Maybe you got the correct code by fluke and it suddenly opened, but one of the wheels turned by a number. You should test each wheel, moving it by one number up, then down, then where it was, just in case that's the case. If not, the method in the video should work. It should be pretty straight forward (if it's a bike lock).

But the original code was known to my friend , did I change it to an unknown code by mistake ? How can I make it function properly again? And also at first when I open it and messed it up a little the first wheel wouldn’t turn and after I fiddled with it a little bit it started moving. Now I don’t know what to do , will the method of the video here work? Will the lock be okay because it’s not mine it’s one of my friend’s that’s why.(if you know how to fix my issue can u please explain it in very simple terms because I’m not really good with locks and stuff)
@@cloudyrozie If the lock is completely open (ie the both ends aren't connected) then the wheels should turn freely. Make sure the change wheel is in the unset position. If you can't put the shackle end in the other one, then the method in the video should work. Firstly the wheels need to turn freely. Again make sure the little change wheel is not in the change position (usually this means turning it anticlockwise). If the wheels don't turn freely then it's possible that it could be broken. If you can turn the wheels, the method in the video should work to decode the lock.
Are you talking about a bike lock? If see, the shackle should move in one stage at a time with each correct number. At each stage it should be able to be completely removed and put back in. For example, if it's a 4 wheel combination bike lock, and if the first 3 wheels are correct, you should be able to remove the shackle and then put it back in nearly all the way. If so, then you should be able to find the next correct number on the last wheel.

I hope you remembered the correct numbers on the wheels for the ones that worked - hopefully they are still set to that - to that and try to push (or pull) the shackle to get it in the correct position. Also tweak the first few wheels to make sure they are lined up. It's possible that the lock could be broken. Good luck with it and let me know how it goes.

It worked. But now end dial is loose and the others won't move. It is jammed
