And eyebrow waxing. I got my best eyebrow wax in Korea. They had me close my eyes, I peaked and there was a team. I love getting services like nails, facials, and waxing in Korea. Hope to be visiting again in Dec.
they do... and the end results really justify the price. i used to get my nails done monthly when i lived in japan and it cost a fortune but it was SO worth it...
@@brendonsforehead4961 The nail tech's execution wasn't wrong though I didn't like how she used the e file to file the whole gel off. She could have filed the top, wrapped or soak the gel in acetone and then used the e file but with the paper coarse bit. That would be better for the nails. The whole design wasn't that elaborate and shouldn't cost that much. But then it's different for different nail salon so who am I to judge. Overall the set turned out very nice and the client was happy so everything is good.
vananh dao Gel doesn’t come off with acetone only acrylic does. Unless the gel is soak off. The most common gel used is hard gel and isn’t sock off. I learned this in my beauty course.
I totally agree with you! The price tag is higher than having your nails done at any other place, but it is honestly so worth it. Whenever I get my nails done at a Korean salon I feel so good, they always look so beautiful and delicate and last forever 💅🏼 at my salon they have so many designs every month and as you, I can take other designs and they will recreate them. 100% worth it 😊
I love that they’re so glam but still not long. I love nail art but with the amount of typing/writing I can’t have those super long insta baddie nails.
You mentioned that you like to try to recreate the nails at home, I’d love to see that! I’d love to just see more nail videos in general Bc I think you do a fabulous job on yours! 💖
Actually, it's about the same price in the US. I had some really elaborate nails done a couple of years ago, and it had the lovely price tag of $200. It's so funny you should post this; I was looking at nail art today for my nails. :) Looking for something beautiful and different in purple, though. Have a great time in Korea!
$200 for nAILS?? eye- should i be worried for paying like $30-$45 for acrylic nails? (i haven’t gotten my nails done in months so i forgot the exact price it costs me)
Nat as a nail tech, no. Thats the normal price in most salons. Now if they charging you less than $25 then you should be worried. I work in a very sanitary salon and we throw everything away and sanitize and disinfect all of our tools and our normal prices are $25-$60 for a full set. It depends on what all you get and length and shape!
I watched this when it first came out and didn't even notice. I'm re watching it now and I just went omg there was a time when ppl called it that...such fond memories.
I love watching Korean and Japanese nail salon videos, the nails are always more natural & girly yet simple at the same time , so cute ! Definitely more my style !
Wow i am so undercharging or should i say living in the wrong part of the world.... Nobody would paymore than 50 for this where I come from... If there's a tip it's like 2 dollars 🤦♀️
@blah blahblah really? the nail place i really like is viet but i guess in my area, we have predominately viet nail shops but the one time i went to a non-viet owned nail shop, my nails barely lasted 3 weeks...
Best nails I've ever got done was in Korea too! They were so pretty and intricate. Lasted around 2 months! But my nails felt pretty weak after so I gave them a nice long break before painting again
In Japan, for those designs cost over $100. I go to Korea for shopping every a couple of months, anything about korean products or foods are 20% less than Japan.
I cannot visit one... I'd get addicted and that is an expense my wallet cannot afford lolol. Also HELL YESS. For the nail tutorials as I paint mine weekly and would love some Tina inspo
She did your nails so well!! Your hands look really nice as well! you can see how much time she spent on it and even how talented she is..! Very precise!
I actually feel like that set would have cost WAY more than that in the states. I used to get designs on every nail in Japan for less than this but if I wanted the same in the states it would have been almost this in a lot of places I've been. Minus the gems. Those are just GORGEOUS! and I love the accent gem nail.
Thank you for this, Tina!! i've been curious where to get my nails done in korea!! (love a lot of your videos, just...usually a quiet lurker who likes videos
beautiful nails!! i pay 25€ and i go once a month.. they never chip or break, they last for a really long time.. i never understood when people paid like 100+$ for nails.. my nails tech does the exact same thing as this one, and yea idk i guess its just my country 😂
i noticed that she did an overlay and i find that's what most asian countries do rather than a nail with an apex. also if you get gel polish and it doesnt last you the month, i'd consider telling your nail tech about it to fix it or go to a diff nail tech
About the same in Greece, it's around 20-30 euros. They look lovely but $100 is very expensive! I guess it makes sense though, their wages are way higher.
I soo love this nail design😍.I’m super inspired. I think I’m gonna try this for my next holiday in Philippines. Thanks Tina, please post more videos on trendy/chic nail arts. 🤍✨
ive heard korean nail polish producers are really keen on long lasting, non chipping, and scratch-proof polishes because its what the korean customers demand and theyve done a successful job in meeting those demands lol but the negative side for the artists is that those polishes tend to be alot more expensive. the color gels dont really affect the quality so much but its the base polishes like the base gel, clear gel, and the top coat which they use up the most that have gone up in price. So... i completely understand the costs, plus they have steadier and more quality art too :D
Cause when u convert it from u.s dollars its 100 they just add 3 more zeros in korean so if someone said it cost 300000 it just really cost 300 dollars in korean won not everywhere else it cost that it shifts different times so check a converter if u are not sure
Beautiful nails 😍 I don't think that the price is bad at all. She did a good nailprep, that is what causes the nails to stay on that long. Not the gel/or if you had gotten acrylic. But if you want longer nails you also need a higher apex together with a c-curve that will strengthen your nails and to keep them lasting 😊
Weather is also a huge factor to longevity! I live in NY, my winter gel nails always last 1.5 months vs summer they justtt make it to one month most of the time
korean and japanese nail salons are right up my lane! theres no good ones near me like how there was back in japan and ive been wanting to be a nail tech for years, so i might open up my own korean style nail salon whereever i settle when i get my licenses!
This video was so helpful because I’m planning to go to Korea and I wanted to get my nails done with my friend! Couple questions, would Laura be OK doing nail designs for 3 people? Does she speak any English?
I thought you were going to say $50! I never knew it could be that expensive! It's beautiful though. Your nails looks so healthy despite you getting them done often. How do you do that?
The trick is to get a clear gel underlay (so it's under the colour polish) that way every time you remove the colour gel, it doesn't affect your natural nail bed.
I love nail polishes & often experiment with them, so I always found it really interesting seeing thsese nail art videos✨ P.S: The store looks so aesthetic & simply cute!
In my country the price is around i think 35$ wich is not a lot and they lasta round 3-4 weeks, even a little bit more but i will say that the girl that is doing my nails is really good at her job and her prices are actually lower than most of the nail salons and they last a lot actually,i personally go every 3-4 weeks to do my gel nails :)
It looks fantastic, but I certainly find that the price is a bit high, however it also depends on the area of the salon, which could explain the high charge. But I always will trust my Russian nail technicians, their job is just PERFECTION

Yes of course!

I do too!! They give EXTRAVAGANT service I swear, the bestttt
I don't grow nails at all .
@TheTruthNnothingBut, channel they're actually $83 USD, tina yong calculated wrong
As a nail tech I don’t find that expensive for quality work and time taken esp with crystals nice set

$100 seems fair to me. She did a lot of fine work on that, plus the care and bling she used.
yep! and it's actually $83 not $100 so even better lmao
It feels weird to hear the term "Glossy top gel" after being so used to Glossy Taco 🌮 🤪

I have short nails with nail design as I do boxing. it's cute but still practical.

Robbswaggs X3 do you have any recommended places?
Mines last up to 6 weeks or more and it's japanese gel on natural nails. similar price as mentioned in the video.
This was honestly soooo aesthetically pleasing! Like gimme more of that store footage! Loved it!💙
