I really enjoyed your series and making a saw till. I enjoyed that you built almost all the joints by hand. Your joints looked beautiful. I hope you might consider a series a series constructing many different joints by hand. I think that could be very helpful. I just completed a class on woodworking joinery at the Center of Furniture Craftmanship in Rockland, ME. It was a wonderful class and I enjoyed it a lot. So I would like to pass a sawing tip to you that I learned from this class. When you cut tour dovetails I noticed that your pinky finger was rapped around the saw tote. Macon, the instructor of this class, talked about gripping the saw. He recommended you should not wrap your finger around the saw tote. He demonstrated that wrapping your pinky finger around the saw tote tilts the saw noticeably. Try this experiment hold your saw straight without wrapping your pinky finger. Now wrap your pinky finger around the tote and you should that your saw makes a significant tilt to one side. So when your are sawing you must compensate the tilt of the saw when your pinky finger is wrapped around the tote. By keeping pinky finger out straight will make it easier to keep you saw straight and square. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
Just found this. So the final episode is my first... but I do like the design, and I love the design aesthetic and proportions. I was about to make a holder for my planes and I think I'll adopt your side elements... when I finish I'll make a matching saw till. BUT, I need to modify it to hold Japanese pull saws hanging from the bottom where you have your fret saws.

Sure Jeromy. The till is 24" wide by 32" high and 8 3/4" deep. The drawer fronts are 3 1/2" x 7". For the curved sides, starting from the top, the top edge extends 1" horizontally before the upper ellipse begins downward. I did this to allow room for the rails and backboards. The upper elliptical curve is 3.5" x 9". The transition notch where the upper ellipse meets the lower ellipse is 1/2" wide. The lower elliptical curve is 3.5" x 15. At the bottom of the lower ellipse the curve goes straight (horizontally) for 1/4". I did this because from a design standpoint I wanted the curve to "land" just a bit after it ends. The total width of the side is the sum of these dimensions. 1" horizontal at top + 3.5" width of upper ellipse + 1/2" transition notch + 3.5" width of lower ellipse + 1/4" "landing" = 8 3/4" total width. The kerf spacing for the saw slots is 1.5” (kerfs are 1/8”). The height and position of the board that the saw handles rest on is determined by the saws you have. I hope this helps. Yes, the Fibonacci sequence puts the golden ratio in whole number proportions that are very easy to use. I often use it as a starting point in my designs.

+Toan Ngo Hello Toan. I used an aluminum French cleat which I screwed to the studs in my wall. If you Google "aluminum French cleat" you will see many examples. It's simple to install and can support a lot of weight. Also, I can easily remove my saw till from the wall without tools....it simply lifts off.
+Steve Adcock Hi Steve. I prefer to use traditional joinery methods for most of my furniture. My saw storage needs will probably change over time. Using screws enables me to adapt when I need to. Sorry you are disappointed, but thanks for your thoughts.

Seems o me that's there's some empty spaces. You'll need more saws. Very nice work.
It's filling up fast! I've added another dovetail saw, a sash saw and two panel saws. I'm hoping that's it for a while.
My two cents: chamfer those kerf slots. Make a funnel to guide the saw into the slot.
Good tip. My kerfs are a full 1/8" wide and work well but the chamfer idea is a good one.Thanks Duke.
