Oh boy, Agua Dulce (sweet water) another place you don't want to be anywhere near in the later spring, summer, and into the fall. That time of year it is from very warm to hot, and hotter.
Get into and across the Mojave desert before the summer heat.

Does the tiny cabin at the Acton KOA come with ear plugs? Even camping in temts close to other hikers, ear plugs are a necessity.
Some hikers do snore, a lot. I always carry ear plugs backpacking and camping with others.
If in a tent, I always tell the other person to wake me to turn over if I snore. It is not worth it to loose sleep putting up with another person's
    snoring.

    Congratulations ❤
    There will be open Trail
for the next 300 miles until
    Cottonwood Pass PCT Mile 751.4
I have enjoyed following the Trail Updates specifically the San Bernadino and San Gabriel Mountains
The Codgers have enriched hikers bringing encouragement of live news coverage concerning current snow conditions.
This years winter conditions have brought tragic loss to human life of four different hikers and experienced mountaineers who fell and disappeared into the White Out.
    One in particular was actor
    "Julian Sands"
The Codgers live interaction from the Pacific Crest Trail gave hikers the meat and potatoes of what the trail is really going through out their.
    The timing was crucial ❤
    Thank you again..cheers

Open trail until Cottonwood Pass??? - you mean Kennedy Meadows? - Cottonwood Pass now has 50-60'' of snow water equivalent, three times that of Mt Jacinto, resulting in an actual snow depth of 20 feet or more. Open trail 😀

By the time the Codgers arrive at Cottonwood Pass Trail Head this is where Hikers exit for the descent to Lone Pine for reaupplys.
Today at 7:23 AM April 16th 2023 the current conditions of this area has snow. That's elementary ..
In thirty days by the end of May 2023 the Trail conditions will not be the same...♥️
The section between Monache Meadows PCT Mile 717.7 to Cottonwood Pass Trail PCT Mile 751.4
This is a highly exposed area
      south faceing
The snow this morning is currently melting quickly.
The Pacific Crest Trail will be mostly snow free with spotted areas
      of snow.
I have frequently hiked through this area I have videos pictures practicable seasoned experience and I am a Wanker which qualifies me.
Not to mention I am member of the Chill Hard Tribe and a Member of the hiker trash tribe.
I have no tattoos but I do have a birth Mark I am a frequent flyer to postholing I have ate alot of suck
Please believe me by the time these brothers reach Monache Meadows the conditons will be way better.
Please lets not suck up to all the drama ❤️

      @Henning_Rech Год назад

@@randyreboberton6263 Those codgers have left the trail on 4-29. Maybe they will return, but not soon. I bet they will skip ahead hundreds of miles.
On 5-5 a first group of the most daring young PCT hikers started into the Sierra. 16 out of a total of >30 hikers waiting in KM. Snow began around mile 712. On 5-6 they started at 3 am in the night but had to stop at 9:30 am due to postholing in the soft snow, after 13 miles. Crampons were required for the hard snow in the night. Starting every night at 3 am they made it until mile 737 two days later, so only advanced 15 miles in two days. And still 14 miles left to Cottonwood Pass, and another 4.5 miles to Horseshoe Meadows to bail out, plus perhaps the 11 miles down the road to Lone Pine. I would bet they will rethink if they want to return into the Sierra then. All information from FarOut.
So far about your fairytales of open trail until mile 751.4.
