I understand why they went this direction. But this is one aspect of Japanese culture I dislike. What business does this manager have to judge Mao and Chi? She jumps, immediately, to the idea that Mao got Chi pregnant or something like that. Jumping to that judgemental assumption without knowing the context despite knowing them is so cruel.

The ending for the novel is shit. What made things worse was how bad the author tried to justify why he ended it that way. For those wondering Mc doesn’t end up with hero girl. He ends up with that irritating human girl eventhough literally the entire series it was romantic tension between Mc and hero girl with them even having ramus as an adopted daughter just for the author to say “fuck that” and have Mc end up with that irritating girl outta nowhere. He got so much hate for it especially after he called his fans stupid for the criticism and tried to justify why he ended it that way.

I read on a site that he ended up with the human but she made him see that he loved the hero too and proposed to have her as a second wife but the protagonist refused because he did not have enough money but they remained in a free union and living with the hero or both

Hataraku Maou sama - The devil lord is a Part timer, what I was expected to be a hell of REVERSE Isekai anime, turn to be a hell of a comedy anime. This series went to hell along with his popularity when the author forgets about comedy and decided to focus the plot into the Hero who is your basic-genric Tsundere character(toxic girlfriend) of this series, So thats why it took 9 LONG YEARS to see this second anime season( and its not even on the final arc, not even on the middle arc) The romance was not a factor before that, because Chiho( the highschoolgirl who is holding the baby girl on this scene), was the only and practically semi canon Ship on first season as well in the first arcs of the manga and light novel, in fact The hero was not the cliche characters he becomes later. The author tried to solve this by putting some action arcs with good battle scenes, as well as a very intigating new plot, reveling the orgin of Ente Isla homeworld of the Demon Lord and the Hero, but it was too late, this series never recover its popularity and fans from back on Season 1, only the tsundere fans remained and even them feeled scammed with Light novel final chapter
