Wow some of ya in the comments are really rude. This is the first time I seen a wig installer actually made a mistake and then fixed it in their own way. Good video👍🏾A few mistakes were made but it still came out great!
Hey there, It's crazy when you do all that work and your wig lifts! I have Alopecia, and have no hair on the top of my head past the crown, so just a little at the back! So I wear a wig all day every day! I have used Ghost Bond for years way before Bold Hold came on the scene. I have also used Bold Hold! About Ghost Bond, right I use the Platinum version! For this product No white is the golden rule, and no rush! I apply this and it stay up the 3 Weeks, and I wash my wig ( while on my hear) and swim with a swim cap so it only gets a little wet! The glue goes on white then you must smooth it out very thin, then let it dry naturally (no blow dryer, about 7 mins) until clear and tacky! I do 3 to 4 layers depending on the hold it want, for several weeks! I don't use any hair spray or mousse. Sometimes I use a scalp protector! I tie it down for about 30mins! and it holds! Same with Bold Hold, and it holds for about 2 weeks pushing it on the 3rd! Wig on my profile pic was but on with Ghost Bond, that pic is from 2016 and I lived in Humid Hawaii! It never lifted, not once! Trail and error, with wigs, you will get! I Did!
I have alopecia as well for 20+ years and still trying to figure it out. I've been settling with Got 2 Be but realizing there's better out there. I'm going to try Ghost Bond. Thanks for your tips.
Braids actually snatch my edges & I’m looking into a hair transplant considering I have a bunch of hair over the rest of head but do u use a stocking cap under ur wigs?
Everyone is really different because ghost bond glue does stick on me like crazy glue n bold hold work also but ghost bond does work way better on me but I'm just allergic to ghost bond glue I does get bad itch with buttons
A few tips, you should apply thicker layers of glue. Put glue on the cap and skin smooth foward never back. Do not use foaming mousse with alcohol and do not press the lace down with your fingers. Also good using the got2b for the baby hairs on the last try!
If you have a comb you can use the comb to do it. I personally use the rat tail comb with the metal end and its easy for me. I learn from erikaj. She’s a hair stylist and she has lots of videos on here for beginners check her out
Thank you for this video. You didn’t have to make this video, but you did. It’s crazy how rude some of these comments are. I applaud you for staying respectful. You were clearly tired from work but you still made this video for us. Thank you boo!!! ❤️
Here is where the problem was, you should use 4 layers of ghost bond, then wait 7 minutes for it to cure before laying down your unit. Also as someone else commented, no blow dryer, just a little patience. I haven't tried the bold hold active, going to be trying it soon becuz I have heard great things. Also a company called the hair factory sells an adhesive that I am hearing rave reviews about. Thanks so much for your video, I'm definitely going to subscribe!!!
with bold hold active, I use 3 to 5 layers and that lasts until I am ready to take it off not when it starts lifting!. I was active for like 30 minutes outside today in 100-degree weather and no lifting and this was on day 4. so bold hold active is the way to go.
Hi! How do everyone remove the glue? It takes me like an hour or two to get it completely off. I use coconut oil because it melts it loose. But afterwards my head is sticky 😩.
I’ve tried ghost bond classic-👎🏽 I’ve tried ghost bond XL-👏🏽 I’ve tried bold hold- 👎🏽 but baby I just bought ghost bond supreme -🥳🤩👏🏽👍🏽👍🏽💯 if you live where it’s warm or you sweat a lot like me the ghost bond supreme is the best bond I’ve ever used, your wig will be holding on till the second coming of Christ Chile. I literally have to remove it myself it will not come off on its own.
@Blackgurlmajic you're welcome I just ordered platinum ghostbond to try that since its meant for high humidity also. Ill update you soon as I get it this week sometime..update: I ordered the platinum and it’s very good I’d recommend the platinum over the supreme or the ghost bond xl and classic. I order mine off of divatress.com
Blackgurlmajic I’m planning a trip to Florida nxt wk and looking for a glue for my unit bcuz I am a sweater😂 hopefully I get this supreme before I get there
mspeaches351 I ordered the supreme and platinum from divatress.com I think I like platinum more than supreme both have a very good hold , with the supreme I can feel the sweat under the lace but it won’t lift, the supreme is kind of resistant to sweat bcuz I can’t feel the moisture under the lace and it doesn’t lift. You have to take it off after a couple weeks yourself it won’t lift lol
I feel like ghost bond is better then bold hold I had to use so much layers just for it to stick I only wore m wig two days before I had to take it off and go buy some more ghost bond! I’m never changing on you again baby! Lol ghost bond!!
The directions say use 5 layers of glue for lace, after the last layer wait 7 min then apply the lace front. I think had you did a couple more layers you would’ve gotten the right results.
Sanny I just love how you show that it doesn’t always work instantly like how almost every other RUclipsr I have seen make it appear. It looks so much more realistic to me when you show the struggles you have with the glue because I struggle so much and always wonder how these girls make it look so easy. In addition, the comments from your viewers were SO helpful! Through your vid and the comments I have learnt so much & it’s nice to see a video that for me appears very genuwine & real. Will subscribe. 🤎
With Ghost bond, my lace does not move, water cannot take it off lol I was shocked how well it works. I cut the excess lace off before I apply the wig, I can't cut that thing off on my head even if you paid me lol I never tried the bald cap method, pretty sure I wont, it seems like too much for me lol Tip: After you adhere the lace to the adhesive, immediately pull out the baby hair to the front of your face then tie it down over your ear, blow dry on cool for like 5-10 mins....that tip leveled up my application game which I learned from RUclips as well....I've messed up plenty of times rushing lol I want to try Bold Hold Active. I used the original Bold Hold numerous times and don't like the fact that it turns white when you sweat then will turn back to clear🙄 Good Job!!!!
I don’t think the bald cap method works for people with small forehead. I also had the same issue with the glue. My hairline was white after using the bold hold and it took sooooo long to dry it was unbelievable. You literally have to do this the day before and have a empty day planned to wait for the glue. Even on the cool setting it didn’t dry fast
I know this was years ago but just now watching. Thank you for doing this video you legit saved me 100’s of dollars I’m sure. Nothing sticks to me like no matter what I do lace just doesn’t melt on me like at all so I started wearing wigs with bangs and I install a wig band AND I found the Hair diagram and holy shit the first time I used the active bold hold 2 to 3 week I used way too much don’t have a cap on and forgot to get any adhesive remover and it held for like a week and when I pulled it off. I mean wow it took a 2 hour shower 1.5 experimenting and scrubbing I thank god that I only had a patch of hair to deal with( growing out my punk rock shaved sides and super self conscious about looking like a blonde stunted chia pet) sorry this is long but again thank you at least I know when I buy anything from the Hair Diagram…. That woman knows what she is doing because bold hold is correct AF and I haven’t read any comments just once I saw a couple down someone said there were some nasty comments I had to comment because they are obviously just miserable trying to spread misery. This was VERY informative and some people just either wanna be hateful or don’t really understand the amount of work it takes to not only do this so you feel beautiful but to record as well. So y’all wanna hate let’s see you do it?! Girl you’re gorgeous and I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you that. Spectacular edges. I wish I could do that but my attraction to wigs is because I can do whatever I want to do and my hair can take a break from years and years of bleaching and I have never had to use a color remover thank god. Anyways THANK YOU FOR EVWRYTHING YOU DO!! I hope you’re still at it I’m gonna subscribe because we all need help and being kind and honest is free but at least your putting yourself out there unlike the trifflin bitches below. So thanks Beautiful!! Keep kicking ass!! Sorry for the novel lol 🎤 drop
I used bold hold active and made sure I had a lot of layers but it would only hold the lace down for a little. I thought since it said “Active” I would be able to sweat in it but that’s not the case 🤷🏾♀️ so i’m watching some videos to see if I did something wrong. If not im trying to find another glue.
I literally thought I was always doing something wrong. Watched plenty videos comparing both glues and those people seem to never had a problem. Thanks alot!
This is was so helpful. Especially seeing the trial and error process. Thank you! Not sure if you have one, but i'd also like to see a video on how you take this off!
Great job after trail and error. I'm a virgin installer too and your step by step is definitely helpful😁 I also would like to know where you get your eyelashes !!! 😍😍😍
This is like trying out trying out Tylenol extra strength (Panadol extra) against regular Tylenol. It should be Bold Hold *Active* vs Ghost Bond *Platinum.* People swear by platinum in the comments, but I am yet to see a video on it.
Really it lifted because the mousse has alcohol in it. Mousse is good to use for laying the wig down flat (and baby hair); but it MUST be alcohol free (like Nairobi)
I just bought some ghost bond from the hair shop.. it won’t be coming out the car.. I’ll be replacing it tomorrow because wtf! My cheap glue from Temu doesn’t even do that
“It was almost 3am and I had work the next day” 😫 the struggle is real I always have to straighten my 4a hair for dance it’s different staying up late when I want to straighten my hair but when I have to because my hair is not allowed it’s a different feeling.
Yeah that mouse is what it did it. I see people all the time out freeze spray or mouse on their lace and it lifts every time because of the alcohol in it. That’s why as soon as you put it on. It’s up😂🤦🏽♀️. It’s okay as a beginner or even experienced people do it sometimes.
Interesting that wig hairlines are not nice and smooth and thin. I’m a guy and wear a hair system (fully shaved under it) but the hairline is never an issue as it’s a very thin semi transparent poly and blends in with the skin.
@@SannyBeauty makes sense! Thanks for the rec, just ordered the bold hold. I use ghost bond but after a week it usually starts lifting. I tried the silicone glues as well but they were messy and didn’t last long.
Girl!! I don’t use lace fronts butt I do work at a Beauty Supply and this give me information but also you teach me how I can explain my costumers how they should use those glues. Thank you 😘
I think the mousse messed it up....._Be it the alcohol in the mousse or the oils that they use in them, both can cause lifting. When you apply the wig no moisturizer or alcohol products should be used near when you put your glue
Your glue is to thin. You need to spread it out more. That little skinny line really dont give the lace anything to grip too. I have never had a issue with ghost bond or Bold hold active. . You do need use alcohol also.
Hello, I mentioned in the video I used alcohol to clean the skin before applying. I applied the bold hold the same way, thin layer and it’s works perfect for me. The ghost bond didn’t unfortunately.
I was contemplating on if I wanted to try this glue but I think this review made me change my decision. I think maybe not using makeup it would stick better 🤔
Okay so I still have a lot of ghost bond left and it always lifts after 2 days :( does anyone have any tips to make it last at least a week? I'm trying to finish it before buying bold hold.
I am happy that I watched this video today because I went to the hair store today, and purchased Ghost Bond. He said “if you open, you cannot return!” And I am so happy I watched this video before I opened that bottle. Bye bye Ghost Bond! 😂
Well done even with the mistake and all. Crazy i always use active and today i went and bought ghost bond. And also crazy cause mine lace be doing the same and thats wrapping foam your using cause i use the same one But like you said maybe thats another reason. So i also bought she bomb foam. So ima pray it works🤞🏾 and i come out as slay as you.😍😘
I did. I even tied it down for 10min after. Still lifted. But I was told after that it’s because the specific mouse I used had alcohol in it, which would lift the lace.
This video was just about the installation comparing the 2 different glues. I didn’t not tint it right away as I knew I would be taking it off, washing, etc and reinstalling it again to try the 2nd glue. But if you watch all my other videos after this I am wearing the same wig and it’s tinted 😊 Hope you found the information I was providing helpful.
+Ania Cheatem at all? I let’s it dry as long I could, some parts had more glue than others which took longer to dry. But over all even with reinstalling over the last few months, the bold hold still holds better.
@@SannyBeauty!HEY! (1.) How long should this glued down stocking cap plus glued on lace front last (longest)? (2.) How long does your application last? (3.) For a client that uses growth grease/growth cream between the partings of her cornrows (sulfur - 8 grease) do you think that a glued down lace front would not be the best styling option for that client? Or is that perfectly fine and normal? (thanks a lot hun)
1. Yes it can help with the longevity 2.i take mine of ever week to 1.5, personal preference 3. Greasing/oiling your parts should be a must before each install to prevent your natural hair from drying out. Just not the hair line as the oils may cause the wig to lift.
@@SannyBeauty THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU ARE A SWEET HEART - (4.) Do you think that it is at all possible to get 2 full weeks out of an install? (5.) Will you please list the best/longest lasting adhesive/glue (that comes with lifting spray for easy removal) (6.) Is this product/glue water proof? (7.) Can you list a product/protective spray that you apply to your skin (before any glue is applied) that prevents irritation to the client / sort of like a barrier? P.S. (1) Im guessing the barrier product/skin protectant should be applied first on to the skin/forehead - (2nd) Then the glue/adhesive (3rd) stocking cap (4th) approx. 3 layers of glue/adhesive on top of the stocking cap and slightly in front of the sticking cap (5th) Then the actual lace ? Is this correct - 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
I have tried bold hold active, lacelock, melt down adhesive, esha and Erica J adhesive. none of these work for me. the only thing I haven't tried is ghost bond. I think all of them works different for everyone. I live in georgia and none of these stick in this hot weather!!! need some suggestions
I did. It just didn't work out because of I didn't realize the BB Mousse wasn't alcohol free. Once I switched that hasn't happened again. I still prefer Bold Hold to this day tho 👌
If you have the time and energy to write a comment like this one someone else’s video , you must be bored and really hate minding business that pertains to you.
Use alcohol free mousse like Nairobi. If not your lace will continue to lift regardless of which adhesive you use
Thank you i found that out right after the vid. I use the apogee mousse now
How do you use Nairobi? Is it after you apply the glue? I’m confused
Sanny Beauty do you still use glue? Or just the mousse
Vp the mousse is for after you glue the lace down. Its for laying the edges 💯
🤦🏽♀️ this makes so much sense bc I use alcohol to remove my wigs. I can’t believe I never connected the two lmao

I had the same question, read through the comments there are some good tips here from GB users!
Apply at least 3 layers
is it safe to apply wig glue to your face/forhead?????
Yup, that’s how you apply it.
I am happy that I watched this video today because I went to the hair store today, and purchased Ghost Bond. He said “if you open, you cannot return!” And I am so happy I watched this video before I opened that bottle. Bye bye Ghost Bond! 😂
Girl do you wanna say Bold Hold or Ghost Bond lmaooo
@@Ms.Faithh I was reading and trying to figure that out sis. I was genuinely curious 😭
actually it wasn't the glue....she was using an alcohol-based moose which is what made her wig lift ghost bond is actually really really good
It came off because of the fact that that was not alcohol free Moose
Ghost bond also doesn’t work for me or neither does the got2b spray
What works for u then
Loved how you showed your fails and wins. Instant subscriber ! 💕
How far down do u come with the glue on your forehead?
That happens to me , I let it sit for 30min before I add any foam or gel to baby hair
Hey love the video and I’m officially a new subscriber also what’s the name of the instrumental song you played in the beginning of the video
That’s why I never use moose tbh
Well done even with the mistake and all. Crazy i always use active and today i went and bought ghost bond. And also crazy cause mine lace be doing the same and thats wrapping foam your using cause i use the same one But like you said maybe thats another reason. So i also bought she bomb foam. So ima pray it works🤞🏾 and i come out as slay as you.😍😘
Do u have a brow vedio...love them
I Enjoy seeing women do their installation BUT why did u put foundation on the base part ?? I'm a guy so I'm clueless. BY THE way youe beautiful
It’s the mousse
Can someone tell me how, to get the glue off of my wig. I’m using Ebin bold hold and it sticks like crazy and leaves a lot of residue.
Try 91% alcohol with a wash rag (or any rag).
You have to let the glue sit before putting mousse on it
Omg yes that has happened to me before to after all that work ugh
😩😩😩 exactly! after all that work smh so annoying lol
The ghost glue you can’t wet it for 48hrs… that’s probs why it came off because you used a wet solution (foam)
I’ve used a few times after, same method with alcohol free mousse instead and had no issues. Anything with alcohol will loosen the glue.
omg i Love this wig😍👌
Such a beautiful lady
Thank you ❤️
Beautiful outcome tfs
Try It’s Sticky Lace Adhesion System it’s Lit!!!!!
You were suppose to let it dry before putting on moose
I did. I even tied it down for 10min after. Still lifted. But I was told after that it’s because the specific mouse I used had alcohol in it, which would lift the lace.
@@SannyBeauty im about to get my first wig I wasnt sure which adhesive should use.. Bold hold maybe? Idk lol 😭
I’d say bold hold
Great video. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for showing us how you fixed the problem. Great tips 🥰🥰❤❤
The Wig was CUTE,and I do like Babyhairs, but sorry Not those
Thanks 👍🏾
Bold hold extreme is good never tried active
Do u buy it from the beauty supply stores?
The wig is unavailable on the amazon link below can you leave a link for it as it’s beautiful
The amazon link says it is sold out at the moment. You can probably try their actual website unicehair.com maybe it’ll be available there
Where did u buy ur bold hold active
You were supposed to apply foundation on the lace of the wig too😫
Don’t worry sis ghost bond is terrible and it’s not because of the mousse neither. I use bold hold active and it kept my wig on for a week.
First off why you link the generic version one bold hold
The generic version? I used the active, and linked the active.
That’s why I don’t even do baby hair cause of the foam and stuff it will lift every time
Only with foam that contains alcohol. My fav method has been the g2b gel like how I did in the video 👌🏾
The only thing I didn’t see you do was wipe your forehead with alcohol before hand. Could that be the reason?
Bold Hold
Lol.. If you were to use the same method on both, it would have been a but more Fair
What stocking cap did she use?
She’s here, and I just used one from the beauty supply, 2 in a pack for like $1.99
Literally dying inside cause lace isn’t tented 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
This video was just about the installation comparing the 2 different glues. I didn’t not tint it right away as I knew I would be taking it off, washing, etc and reinstalling it again to try the 2nd glue. But if you watch all my other videos after this I am wearing the same wig and it’s tinted 😊 Hope you found the information I was providing helpful.
Gurllllllll you ain’t let it dry at alllllllllll🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
+Ania Cheatem at all? I let’s it dry as long I could, some parts had more glue than others which took longer to dry. But over all even with reinstalling over the last few months, the bold hold still holds better.
I don't think she wanted for d glue to well dry
I tried this glue it was a mess u made it so simple
That glue makes holes in ur lsce wig ...I see it in ur after taking it off...I don't like that to long lasting
There’s holes from my plucking to hard.
Bold hold is GARBAGE. I barely get hot (not even sweating) and it starts turning white. I hate it, huge waste of time and money.
Nice tutorial!
*DOES ANYBODY AT ALL KNOW IF SaN BEAUTY ASNWERS QUESTIONS*
I answer questions in all videos. Did you have a question?
@@SannyBeauty!HEY! (1.) How long should this glued down stocking cap plus glued on lace front last (longest)? (2.) How long does your application last? (3.) For a client that uses growth grease/growth cream between the partings of her cornrows (sulfur - 8 grease) do you think that a glued down lace front would not be the best styling option for that client? Or is that perfectly fine and normal? (thanks a lot hun)
1. Yes it can help with the longevity
2.i take mine of ever week to 1.5, personal preference
I live in georgia and none of these stick in this hot weather!!! need some suggestions
girl you should’ve watched tutorials before attempting
I did. It just didn't work out because of I didn't realize the BB Mousse wasn't alcohol free. Once I switched that hasn't happened again. I still prefer Bold Hold to this day tho 👌
You look bomb
Thank you babe ❤️
You sound Bajan.
My background is Jamaican
Lol
this videos pretty much useless since you didnt handle both glues the same but at least you got your coin right lol
Maybe to you, but thanks for watching 😊
Pluck the wig next time.
I did to my liking. But this video wasn’t about the customization, I just filmed the application.
Sanny Beauty doesn’t look plucked at all but okay
Ok.
Monèt Cuts abit rude...
Nicole A right Like Girl Gone Somewhere . Everyone Doesn’t Gotta Pluck If They Dont Want To . Plus Plucking Can Bald A Lace Faster .
If you are going through all that shit, you must really hate your hair.
If you have the time and energy to write a comment like this one someone else’s video , you must be bored and really hate minding business that pertains to you.
@@MyelinMoxi You must hate her hair too.
Or just want to try a different hairstyle..but hey 🤷🏾♀️😂🥱
