That is Raamcharitramanas by Goswami Tulsidaas. In the original valmiki raamayan, ravan dies to a brahmastra to the heart. I know, mind-blowing but remember there's not one ramayan after all ramayan is anant.
It was a nice story but just to add on Raavan was a tamil king in Sri Lanka who invaded all the three worlds but when it came to women he did not invade or torture them… The best example is Lord Sita… He knew the what would be the consequences after kidnaping Sita because of his sister pain and grief…. Raavan might be a threat to world but he was a great ruler, good husband and not womeniser… Compared to Ram i always respect Raavan who made Sita comfortable not even touching her without her permission being mighty emperor of trilok
