I had some questions about my custom wall mounted logo, so I made a video explanation about it. Using the Creality Ender 3 I printed the face surface of the logo in black PLA, and then swapped to clear filament after 7 layers to give it transparent edges. With the inside lined with WS2812B addressable LED strips, and controlled via a NodeMCU with Aircoookie's WLED firmware installed - the entire thing can be automated via Alexa or customized through the WLED phone app. I hope this can inspire some others to try a project like this. Enjoy!

It’s been a while. Hope in the future these projects will be even better
This video took ages to finally come lol
Working on my video production speed, it's hard to find time for. :(
really enjoy the videos! Hope all is well and you have sum uploads planned!
those are some really HIGH quality prints.
Well done!
I’m bouta 3D print that rocket ship😂
You still doing stuff? Love the videos.
Love this design! Swapping the filament mid-print is an awesome way to keep the case design simple but very elegant. I'm very honored you chose WLED for running it :)
The man himself! Thanks a lot, it definitely brings advanced diy led stuff to those of us with a lack of coding knowledge!
Started this video and totally thought he would end up using a compiled Arduino sketch. I was pleasantly surprised when I heard him say WLED.
Awesome! Looking forward to more cool projects you can share with us!
yess dude ive been waiting on these, love your channel dude ty for the inspiration
I was just thinking the other day when you would post haha, great tutorial and build!
So happy to see that your making videos. Can't wait to see your other projects
I'm gonna be honest with you bro, if you uploaded some more, you would blow up. I love your vids keep up the good work.
imo, you do a really good job at making these videos! You are super clear and easy to follow along with, especially for someone like myself who has not yet made the leap of investing in a printer so I'm at the very beginning of being able to express art through 3D printing. again, great job with the video, it definitely am inspired in a lot of ways after watching your video
I remember when I first saw the Rgb Apartment video, it blew me away and still even now, i always wanted to know how you made the Rgb lights show the same color that’s on the tv screen.
Would love to see a tutorial on how you got the lights to match what was on your TV!!
Me too!
@@RavenRaven96 without buying a product you mean? like hue, sync?
Well, however he did it. I don't think he used Hue sync. Doesn't seem like his M.O
What TV, you mean his triple monitors? That's just a wallpaper, he can change IT to be any color he wants.
It is call ambient light
Your last 2 videos are so polished. I really like them. I am looking forward for your next videos!!
What ever you do, keep making videos! Your humor, style, and subject matter really make great videos every time!
Awesome vid dude, can see you're putting a lot of effort into your production and editing, also noticed the sneaky vertigo/dolly zoom about a minute in.
Great work, I can appreciate how time-consuming D.I.Y projects take when you're filming every step of them. Also had a giggle at just sending it after shrink wrapping everything prior to testing, another trait I carry 😉
I look forward to the next vid you make 😁✌
Haha glad some catch the little details, thank you bro!
Awesome tutorial! It definitely seems a lot more difficult than it really is, great job breaking it down. Love those LEDs too, I'll have to get those for future projects
CEO of quality over quantity
Cant wait for the next project 👍
I have a CNC so one thing I would change is use black plexi glass for the top so it's nice and smooth and reflective and then do the white filament like you did to create the rest. Great job!!!!!
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your process. I have been trying to figure this out for a while now!!
We're finally moving soon to a new house and it would be an honor to rock that RGB logo on the wall in my new studio!
This was a great project rundown!
Dude i just came off of your apartment rgb setup video ending and i played this video and the music matched up!!!! Wow i didn’t expect thwt
Fan's from India. We like your creation. Do more this type of project ... .. 👍👍
Thank you for the tutorial. Im going to make my house number sign like this with the wood finish filament
Very cool! I was really hoping you were going to talk about that logo and you did! Your room looks AMAZING in the dark with the lights on!
Thank you!
Gonna need to know more about these diffraction grating sheets asap.
If you put the leds on the back of the black front, the light will diffuse a bit more, and you won't have the separate leds showing through. nice project!
Haha dude your intros are awesome 🤣 excellent videos, very well explained and super interesting, never saw any 3d printing so very cool to see. If you have any more of your logo messups laying around ill hang one up in my garage. Keep the videos coming....wanna see the TV ambient background led video! Lol
Awesome project! If only I could make a hole in my concrete wall for my diy nanoleafs' cable 😄
The music choice is super good
this was pretty cool! thanks for sharing!!!
Awesome job! I need to pick up some clear filament lol
YOWZA your workspace is nice and clean... I'm so jealous of the organization lol
Yooo this is sick. Shoutout to the keychron keeb too!
love these videos, keep em comming
Great project! I think making the walls thicker or offsetting the L.E.D's would disperse the light better, making it more of an even glow and hiding the individual diodes. This is how it's done on computer peripherals or PC components. Instead of 3d printing the face, you could also have a solid piece of acrylic laser cut at a lot of local maker spaces (maybe not as easy with C-19 lol).
Thank you - and that's a really good idea. I briefly thought about it when I recorded the voiceover at the end showing wall thickness and you're definitely right, the diffusion would look awesome. Will have to try it
This is probably my favorite channel of all time
Hey thanks!!
Like your logo very neat and tidy ,Saw it on the wled youtube page, at the end where you put you logo on to the wall how do you power the logo thanks.
Seriously its look too professional👌👌
FINALLY A DAMN VIDEO!!!!!!!!!
Looks great man!
Very nice project. Do you mind sharing how you setup the controls on your phone? Is the nodeMCU running a web server that you are interacting with?
Apparently I discovered this channel just in time
great video mate. What sort of powering is running the chip? are the LEDS 12v or 5V?
OMG love your RGB light videos bro, serously, thanks to them i started using RGB lights on my personal PC !!!
Another way to get smooth surfaces if you don't have a decent enough build platform is use the ironing settings in cura. Better than nothing
Tried this on some other stuff, definitely helps but can't achieve the mirror finish. :P
3:54 put a quarter next to this image and sell it as a stock image for "technology of the 21st century" and "what time to be a live" related searches.....
The logo is so beautiful that I have subscribed.
thank you for making this video. i asked about it when you made your last one
Finally- after months of waiting. Let’s go Boys!
Sorry for the wait y'all!
love u bro
finally the video about the sexy blink think :D
I would love one of these - heck, I've got a mate who streams who could do with a custom one haha
Amazing work!
Can you explain more about the power supply that you use and how did you hide it 🤣?
Bump the content man, You should be at 1 Million subs in no time. Love the videos.
Trying my best to find the time, thanks man
I really like your videos! I just wished you post more when are you gonna post again? I really want to see how you did the ambience reactive lighting on your tv? I seen some way to do it with a pi.
That is so sick
For your home, did you use the nodes or wirless controllers to be able to controll all lights? Or would that be costly?
Finally :).
I don't get how you get your prints so shiny. Could you share details on the 3d print please? Material, print settings et cetera. Thank you, great vid.
Just print on a glass bed surface
Printed on glass bed, standard PLA, used default standard quality settings in Cura. Nothing out of the ordinary :)
He's alive!
What black filament did you use? And do you have any good starting points for programming LEDs? I'm having trouble figuring out where to start
Wao amazing, you are amazingly talented.....
Waiting since ages
Awesome project! I love the color of your walls, could you give some references about what colors they are? maybe pantone refs or simillar? thanks!
Not going to lie, that’s pretty sick
Very Beautiful
Dode did u add a RGB in the roof lights its will be so cool
& plz add some video we miss u!
beautiful video buddy .... i am going to start doing this because of you yea ..... kudos Boom Shankara
Looks Dope!
What are the dimensions of the logo - what I see in your illustrator file is 1920px/896px - but when you 3D printed it was it the same dimensions or you changed in when you imported the SVG in 3D software?
that's a cool rocketship
I cant wait for the video (if you make it) where you make the seeling out of adressable rgb lights or just rgb because i wanna do the same thing x)
can u make a vid about the best led stripes?
love the contentl
Could you do a video on how you did your ambient light for your TV in the RGB Apartment videos?
Awesome !
I wouldn't keep the printer on the desk close to you. It can release harmful chemicals and microplastics into the air. And prolonged exposure might lead to problems later on.
I'd buy a cheap vented enclosure, which also helps with the printing of ABS.
whats a node ncu what does it do its all new and different im into building drift cars but this amazing and want to dab into this
I'm going to do this project. Subscribed. What wood PLA did you use?
Hatchbox wood pla
Amazing !!!
dang that's really cool how'd you get into making these kinda stuff ?
That’s smart as hell!
fantastic!
how did you get into all this like all the board and wifi boxes and all those things ive seen all your videos but i dont know what it all is and i want to get into it looks really cool
Links in description I think!
Looks awesome - Wish I could do some 3D printing....
so dope!
Brother please tell me how do you made your youtube channel water mark which appears on every video.. please tell
Can you show us how you did the T.V backlighting and sink for the next video? Thanks!
what is your temp settings for your printer?
More videos please!!!
how did u do the power cable?
Hey man when is the mirror video coming?
Great video and very well explained. Will probably be making this in the future. I was wondering where you got all your wire you use. Also, I really like that little cubbie shelf shown at 5:07 and i would really know where you got it. Thank you!
Amazon, they are called tip out bins. Look at reviews before you buy! Mine breaks sometimes and needs the hinges superglued back on
@@Coltography Gotcha. Thank you for the info!
Hey man, is there any chance I could get the STL file for your one ? I think it looks awesome.
I love your video, thanks!
How can i apply for the Thing to Win? Where I have to donate for?
I think you should invest in the BLTouch - it makes bed leveling sooo much easier!
