I just feel like Arthur wouldn’t ride a shire and a draft as those horses aren’t meant to be ridden the way he does … those are wagon pushing horses . War horses and race horses seem more Arthur’s style
@@tonowariWhen you use the cinematic camera to travel from point A to point B the speed of the horse hardly matters, the game literally plays for you during those moments. I usually use the raven black Shire that Hosea gave Arthur and I never lost a race or struggled losing pursuers on horseback, so the speed of the horses is really more trivial than vital to the game, its bravery is honestly more important and the fastest horses are usually the most skittish
Arthur rides on a daily basis … he wouldn’t not use a work horse / wagon pushing horse. His original horse that was cut from the game which was a Hungarian halfbreed. Originally you were supposed to steal his horse back so yes it’s safe to say that would be his cannon horse and even in a movie.

On my view canonically: I think the tennesse walker (from chapter 1) would be Arthur’s main horse until chapter 6 and them he would meet Hamish and get Buell, and in the final mission they would both die tragically. In my opnion it fits because red dead 2 is a tragedy if we consider that Jack is the only reminescent gang member left

I like the subtle theming for the black shire Hosea describes him as ill tempered and unruly but you can tame him and shires are in real l life among if not the most easygoing horses. hes basically Arthur as a Horse
Ever since my first playthrough of the game I’ve used the black shire horse from the Hosea mission and called it Dutch. After the Hamish missions and get his horse Buell I like to use him for the rest of the time or at least switch between Dutch and Buell every now and then

I use the Ardennes or Shire as my main horses for Arthur. But for racing or challenges, either the American Standardbred or Turkoman (you can get free in Chapter 3 mission). Didn't realize that the Suffolk was one Arthur would have used but given their bigger size, would make sense. I'll have to check it out.
@limea0325 if you Google "rdr2 how to get turkoman chapter 3" there should be guides on how to get it for free during the Braithwaite mission (I forget the name of it). But if you follow the instructions, it works - and I did it on Xbox, so it works there too.
I just happened to find this horse and it's my favorite. Looks sturdy but not fat, excellent cores, OK speed, and doesn't scare too easily. Overall great horse! :D
yeah, it has good stats, but it looks like a nigthmare for me. There was a couple, otherwise great horse in the game, that i just couldnt ride, they hurted my eyes too much. (And IRL andalusians are the most beautiful creatures. extra shame on the perlino monster)

The Raven Black Shire is by far my favorite horse. I couldn't sell it if I wanted to, I've used it on every playthrough, I'm only just now using other horses. Love that damn thing.
You don't have to go to the stables to saddle up just take the saddle of your main horse and put it on the horses you get don't worry you won't lose it because your horse that you took the saddle off will be classified as "temporary horse"
I have 2 Shire horses. One white female that I got with Sean from a mission, and a black one that Hosea gave Arthur. They’re great horses. Especially when I go up to the mountains to hunt

Yea first time I had the mealy chestnut I stole it didn;t think anything about it then when I took a good look at it I cleaned her up and with the outfit I had on for Arthur they looked bad ass together had that horse through the whole game.

I believe the fastest way to get a Piebald Tobiano Hungarian Halfbred is to go into Blackwater, start a fight with the law, take out enough lawmen to make reinforcements arrive and steal the horse from one of them. Might take a while and yes, I know it's suicide 😅 But one of the lawmen will definitely be riding a Piebald Tobiano. Same goes for Tumbleweed in New Austin and even Valentine, tho the latter takes the longest time for the horse to show up, as far as I've experienced

the sooty bucksin dutch warmblood has always been a favorite of mine, it's tall and bulky but not too thick like the hungarian halfbred or or the ardennes and to me the stats are in a perfect middle

I watched this last night and today started a new RDR let's play. Right out the gate in Chapter 2, I take my Kentucky Saddler out on a walk around the area to look for wild horses (The idea was to tame my own horse, never take nothing from nobody) when up on a ledge by a bridge, what do I see? O'Driscolls. Setting up a toll. Well, from up on that ledge I draw my repeater and hang those bastards out to dry. After looting them all, I free the horses. A Suffolk Punch and a blonde chestnut Belgian Draft. I told the Punch to flee, but immediately mounted the Belgian Draft. Since then, I've been running around The Heartlands with this big dope and can't wait to access the stables so I can pass off my Saddler to a new home and give this hulking beast a shot. Do I have a name for him yet? Nope. But I've bonded with him already. He's my horse.

Boadicea was never confirmed to be the cut Liver Chestnut Hungarian Halfbred. In fact, apparently was intended to be ridden my Alfredo Montez in Online, but ended up unused. Currently the horse is impossible to find. It’s been removed from the game and only can be seen on earlier versions of the game, in the Scarlet Meadows stables if you enter the horse tack menu. As far as I know, there is no method of obtaining it yourself, other than mods/save wizard.
My top 3 are the black Shire, Andalusian, and the Murfree Brood horse that can be had when they threaten your camp in chapter 2. Just kill both of them and the horse is yours.
Personally i think a high honor arthur looks best on TREWLANYS horse, the brown leopard appaloosa! Of course, the only way to get this horse is through cheats, but its a wonderful horse thar suits him well imo. But without cheats, i normally go for a simple Chestnut Tennessee walker for high honor arthur bc i think it suits him :)
My favourite horse for arthur is the stawberry roan ardenne that i named red harlow A big brute but it can only be unlocked in chapter 6 but i did some exploits with the drunk guy

I found the piebald Hungrian Halfbred north of Valentine. There's a camp you can sometimes find on a ridge overlooking Cumberland Forest.
The hungarian halfbred can be found after guarma at the hitching point at van horn and you can have it as your temporary horse unless you saddle it up
Yea, but you can also find it at the earlier chapters by using one of the glitches.

I love the Sooty Buckskin Dutch Warmblood. It's actually one of my favorite horses in the game, so it's my main mount for Arthur.

Handling is the most noticeable trait horses have IMO. The heavy handling of the Shire’s and Belgian’s are a dealbreaker for me.

Been riding grulo dun mustang i’ve politely acquire from a good bounty hunter. Beautiful horse, didnt tested on a hunt yet but for battle he is fine

It is just a theory that Boadicea was a Liver chestnut Hungarian Half bred but it is not confirmed you can search it in google for more information.
i think you can get one, not too sure.. but if you can it might be rare to find.

Personally i think a high honor arthur looks best on TREWLANYS horse, the brown leopard appaloosa! Of course, the only way to get this horse is through cheats, but its a wonderful horse thar suits him well imo. But without cheats, i normally go for a simple Chestnut Tennessee walker for high honor arthur bc i think it suits him :)
My favourite horse for arthur is the stawberry roan ardenne that i named red harlow
