Being an ‘80 baby, Sinbad was the only comedian my parents would allow me to watch. I was 10 when “Brain Damaged” aired on cable in 1990 & I enjoyed every minute of it. My Mom recorded on video tape & I watched
it so much that I could recite the entire show (still can 😆). He didn’t cuss or have any vulgar content yet he STILL would have you hysterically laughing. As an adult, I often wondered what he was up to. In the summer of 2019, I found out he had a show in NY. The show was a bit far for me, but I understood that we were both older now, (both me & Sinbad lol) & i felt that I would feel so guilty if (heaven forbid) he had passed & I had let the opportunity to see him pass me by (always trust your intuition y’all 💯) The show was great!! At the meet & greet after the show & I had the opportunity to take a photo w/him & told him how he made me a fan at 10 yrs old lol. He was so pleasant & nice! My heart sank when I found out about his stroke the following year. However, the blessing is that he is still with us amongst the living 💯. I wish him the absolute BEST moving forward 💗

Yep in our family too. We could listen to Sinbad, Bill Cosby, Bugs Bunny, Felix the Cat, and not much of Saturday Night Live it was on too late. Oh and Carol Burnette, Tim Conway. Flip Wilson --sometimes not all the times Geraldine was funny. and I love lucy. That was all the comedy we got the rest was at CHURCH Sunday School, Sunday Church, Sunday nithe evening service, Wednight meetings. And we kids hated RIVALS that meant church each day.

Sinbad's reality showed premiered with The Braxtons and was so good. I could not believe they cancelled it, but reality shows were all about drama and messiness. I never watched that network again after that. Several years later Chrisley Knows Best premiered and its a hit. Nothing against that family, they are very funny, but I can't help but see the similarities and think about what his show could have been if given a chance.
