I ALWAYS think about how Black actors do not receive diverse roles to truly show their talents. I agree with Chris. Look at Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp and sooooo many other white actors. Their work is so broad, they get to show the depths of their talents. But I also think that we as a Black audience tend to not support indie Black movies so they don't get the funding and backing they deserve.
Off the top of my head Denzel Washington has had diverse roles. But you know in Hollyweird, it's the one black superstar rule. In addition to Denzel, there was Morgan Freeman, Will Smith, Samuel Jackson... but just one at a time.
