I went with a friend for a little tour of Salamina or Salamis, a historical island often overlooked by tourists, even though it’s so close to Athens. A stroll in its main town, a quick visit to its archaeological museum and sites, a souvlaki stop at Selinia village, and my favorite part, a long stroll by the beautiful Kanakia beach.

It is indeed a hidden gem so close to Athens! You can get there on a 15-minute ferry 🙂
