Tariq's trip.. It just made me think of Snowfall where it was done waaay better.. It was more creatively shot and hilarious when Damson Idris smoked that wedding episode.
This was an unnecessary way for Tariq to decide to 'fully' embrace his shadow/dark side as Det Carter clearly has. He didn't need a trip for that. He had enough motivation when he lost his inheritance (his only motivation to attend school outside of a drug cover)
Need more motivation? How about being lined up for the kill 'twice' (Druanna's & Noma's plan) while getting his mom caught in the cross fire??? That's enough to be like..."Nah, I need to be the Apex Predator" to protect me and mine.
Keep in mind They were blindsided by starz decision to end the show abruptly. When they were filming they didn’t know that this was the last season. Also, they had no intention of this being a mid season finale episode. This was more starz fault as opposed to the writers.
This episode was not enough for a mid finally watch episode 6 going feel like the mid finally after we watch it in September

Sickle Cell Anemia is a very serious and deadly condition. Yes SCA is predominant in people of colour community, it is where the red blood cell comes to a point (sickle) causing blockage in the blood vessels resulting in extreme pain especially in the joints. The blockage can cause Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA or stroke) or Myocardial Infraction (MI or Heartattack). One of the things i know that it definitely cause is liver compromise, because the liver is one of most the filtering organs especially for our red blood cell (RBC) and when the RBC isn't good then when the liver filters, it damages the blood vessels in the liver. Usually people with SCA have jaundice yellowing of the eyes (sclera) and skin. Interesting fact, most people with SCA dont live past age 45 years, especially if they are not on the right treatment.
Lorenzo was in jail for 10 years and he kept passing him over. He was halfway done when Lorenzo has him beat up in jail. He was fully done when he chose Dru when he got out.

I’ve also asked myself a few times if yall watch the show 😂😇. Tariq and Diana slept together in season 2. He asked if she was sure and he said Monet couldn’t know about it and she agreed. Then they slept together last season and she asks “what about Effie” and he responds that they broke up, then Effie walks into the room the next day and sees Tariq putting his shirt on.
They didn’t show it either time but the first time him asking if she was sure was a major implication. Now it was only that last time that was in question based on when she got pregnant, but despite Tariq and the writers forgetting 🙃, it happened twice.
Ppl looking for action , but I loved the acting in this episode

Coining Dru 'Max Tejada' is hilarious but it was only right to point/call out the ridiculousness of that zone in scene on him being some sort of sure shot all of a sudden when he was missing like a fresh out of the academy storm trooper back in ep 1 when he was shooting at Tariq and Brayden. Add it to the long list of "tv conveniences" from the Power Universe.
It’s crazy to me that the big reveal, in the mid season finale, of the final season, is a reveal about a brand new character (Carter). I don’t care about Carter being dirty/crazy! They might have a plan to make it all make sense by the end but I’m gonna be shaking my head in disgust for 2 months now. Definitely a gamble. Hope it pays off.
I like it and it's a very interesting, take in a cop. He is basically a grounded Red Hood with a punisher backstory.

@@straightfacts5043 I remember hearing that but I thought they (the cast) were trolling. STARZ should’ve, at minimum, not taken the 2 month break if you canceled the show after the shooting of this season.
This was a weak episode for mid season finale.

Noma got Anya's father killed. Tariq, Brayden and Effie all know this so maybe that factors into her not wantin bto tip her hand in being a criminal to her daughter, because she may natrually come to the conclusion that Noma killed her father.

Tariq planted Davis to distract Noma. Tariq told Davis what type of guys Noma is attracted to. Hence Davis forward attempts.
After this lackluster, semi-expositive episode and a visit to Dr. Summer-off will we be interestedin September?

Detective Carter is the last great actor on this show. I find my self rooting for the dirty cop now.. I hate the Tejadas.. Tariq and Brayden still aren’t believable street guys.. I wish they had Tariq leaning more towards the legit side of going to school and finishing versus him always in shootouts and being a bootleg version of his dad.

I though the ep was good... interesting...left some questions as to how things will ultimately shake out. I guess I'm not hyped up for the blood and gore,🤷🏾♀️ disappointment that no one died and that there's too much forgiveness going on. 😂 Can a show not evolve to be better?🤦🏾♀️ I guess people just want the kills nowadays, literally. But I will give that the original Power was gritty, but this ain't the original power and the sooner those who are holding on to ghost realize that the better off they'll be.
