    I would've had more respect for Sam if he kept OpenAI open as it had intended to be instead of selling out for $$$.

    It's crazy how xAI was only recently established by Musk and now its a legitimate contender against openAI that has been around for years.

    He skirted the question. It is computationally impossible to have multiple simultaneous product directions. Just look at how Sora is now mediocre compared to even open source models. That is why ai is anyone's game, which would worry any large ai company.

    The real game changer will be when you run one of the open sourced models on your local machine and the weights are just right.

    Although Open AI has a superior product when compared to XAI at the moment its in delusion to believe XAI is a competitor when OpenAI does not have the capital to even compete.

    • @TheAIPivot
      @TheAIPivot 9 часов назад +6

      OpenAI raised $10 billion like a month ago. They have access to a ton of capital!

    • @CorwinPatrick
      @CorwinPatrick 8 часов назад

      @@TheAIPivot And yet, they have to "Raise" capital every time they need money. OpenAI has no income stream. While you can say the same of xAI right now, they do have a built in customer with Tesla. It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that Grok will be the UI for RoboTaxi. As soon as xAI is ready to turn it on, they will have a built in 7 million vehicle customer base. And every CyberCab produced will come with it, standard. As a reminder... CyberCab is the Car, RoboTaxi is the Service. Almost all current Teslas can be RoboTaxis with the flick of a switch.
