I'm so fascinated that there's this fashion channel telling the fashion house's history and the designers, who left their marks in the industry. And also, thanks for making a tribute to ALBER ELBAZ, he's one of the many reasons, why I took up fashion design.
The thicker ribbon inside is called grosgrain; it’s used in many internal functions to stabilize. I’m wearing a very lightweight robe right now that has this hand stitched into the waist seam so that it doesn’t stretch. 🧵🪡 Love your thoughtful videos! 🤓💕
I wish I can have access to those vintage pieces from Lanvin. I love how they look, the silhouette, the color. This is a great video on Alber Elbaz. Good job.
Great introduction to Alber Elbaz’s work for Lanvin, and it’s a real treat to see the details and fit. Damn you, you clotheshorse, I’m jealous! Having studied French for a year, I’ll say the founder ‘Jeanne’ is pronounced like ‘zhan’ (sorry if I’m not making sense with that amateur phonetics), where the second ‘e’ is silent.
Those pants are stunninggggggggg. I soo want to start shopping designer second-hand like you but the pure scale of the market and how much there is to sift through + the worse availability in Australia discourages me so much lol

I used to be obsessed with the collections Alber Elbaz created for Lanvin during his creative reign, they were so effortlessly elegant!

I just found your channel and IM IN LOVE!
Love this! Thank you so much. I did not know anything about Albers early career.
I'd be interested to learn more about Elbaz's tenure at Geoffrey Beene. Actually, an exploration of Beene would be wonderful. Great job!
keep it up. great content
