I disconnected the battery, so now the speedometer is stuck on 0. Does it have to be reset?

It would help if you would identify the transmission. That's not the common 5-speed 02J I have on my 2002 MK4 Jetta. That's a different manual gearbox all together. Maybe that's the 02m 6 speed?

I have a 2002 VW Golf GLS (Automatic), I bought it recently and the P0715 came up for this when I tested it. My car just got its transmission fluid flushed before this happened and it still won’t shift past first gear. Since this showed up on my CEL, do you think fixing it will cure the problem of my transmission not shifting up?

Yes, replacing your tacho metre will fix your transmission not shifting past first gear

We don't know for sure, but you can look at the gearbox and you can check if you lift the bonnet

Speed sensor can be faulty and not cut out at all. Some have said limp mode but my guess is another issue setting off limp because I've been driving around with a faulty sensor for months.

Your audio doesn’t work on this video unless you’re not talking but I have no idea what you’re saying. Having to pause the video to read what you’re saying isn’t helping.

sounds like you should go to a profession if sensors and simple mounts make you nervous.
