Randy, please know that I will always love you and your music. Whether with Ricky Nelson , the Eagles, on your own with other artists, I wish you love & peace. The Eagles are for me forever Randy Miesner, Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Don Felder, and Joe Walsh♥️
Bernie Leadon was one of the four founder members of Eagles (along with Randy, Frey and Henley) and played the lead guitar and co-wrote many hits on the first 4 Eagles albums .. .. e.g. Bernie wrote all the music for Witchy Woman. Aloo check out some videos of the early Eagles - Bernie was a great singer (his harmonies with Randy are what gave Eagles their characteristic sound, and he was a wizard on any stringed instrument (from acoustic and electric guitar, banjo, mandolin) AND he was a clear leader of the band in the beginning, having had plenty band experience in bands such as Flying Burrito Brothers who pioneered the country-rock genre ... note in the early days how Bernie was leading the band , lifting his guitar up in the air to signal to the others that they were ending off, then bringing his instrument down hard for the final note. Altho he played different style to Joe Walsh and Don Felder.. (Bernie introduced Felder to the band, by the way) .. Joe Walsh came into a band that had already “made it” .. but Bernie was there with Eagles, in the trenches, playing every gig they could get to become known .. Eagles lost a lot when they lost Bernie, and lost even more when they lost Randy ... just not the same without Bernie’s baritone voice and Randy’s high tenor voice in beautiful seamless harmony .. with respect to Joe and Timothy, just nit the sane ...
One of the best songs ever. I'm used to the Eric Clapton version and the Allman Brothers version. The common denominator is the slide guitar; and here it is again on Randy's version. Here's an outtake from Ocean Blvd. ruclips.net/video/am3Jom2VrDk/видео.html
